אֶסְתֵּר֙ H635 אִם H518 עַל H5921 the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 If it please ט֔וֹב H2896 let it be granted יִנָּתֵ֣ן H5414 גַּם H1571 to morrow מָחָ֗ר H4279 to the Jews לַיְּהוּדִים֙ H3064 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 themselves together וַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ H6950 For the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֣יים H3064 אֲשֶׁר H834 at Shushan בְשׁוּשָׁ֔ן H7800 גַּ֠ם H1571 day בְּי֣וֹם H3117 on the fourteenth אַרְבָּעָ֤ה H702 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 also of the month לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ H2320 Adar אֲדָ֔ר H143 and slew וַיַּֽהַרְג֣וּ H2026 at Shushan בְשׁוּשָׁ֔ן H7800 three שְׁלֹ֥שׁ H7969 hundred מֵא֖וֹת H3967 men אִ֑ישׁ H376 but on the prey וּבַ֨בִּזָּ֔ה H961 לֹ֥א H3808 they laid שָֽׁלְח֖וּ H7971 אֶת H853 not their hand יָדָֽם׃ H3027 16 But the other וּשְׁאָ֣ר H7605 Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֡ים H3064 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 provinces בִּמְדִינ֨וֹת H4082 that were in the king's הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ H4428 gathered themselves together נִקְהֲל֣וּ׀ H6950 and stood וְעָמֹ֣ד H5975 עַל H5921 for their lives נַפְשָׁ֗ם H5315 and had rest וְנ֙וֹחַ֙ H5118 from their enemies מֵאֹ֣יְבֵיהֶ֔ם H341 and slew וְהָרֹג֙ H2026 of their foes בְּשֹׂ֣נְאֵיהֶ֔ם H8130 and five חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה H2568 seventy וְשִׁבְעִ֖ים H7657 thousand אָ֑לֶף H505 on the prey וּבַ֨בִּזָּ֔ה H961 לֹ֥א H3808 but they laid fourteenth בְּאַרְבָּעָ֤ה H702 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 בּ֔וֹ H0 they and made וְעָשֹׂ֣ה H6213 אֹת֔וֹ H853 day י֖וֹם H3117 of feasting מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה H4960 and gladness וְשִׂמְחָֽה׃ H8057 18 But the Jews וְהַיְּהוּדִ֣יים H3064 אֲשֶׁר H834 that were at Shushan בְּשׁוּשָׁ֗ן H7800 assembled together נִקְהֲלוּ֙ H6950 on the thirteenth בִּשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה H7969 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 בּ֔וֹ H0 day thereof and on the fourteenth וּבְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה H702 עָשָׂ֖ר H6240 בּ֑וֹ H0 וְנ֗וֹחַ H5117 thereof and on the fifteenth בַּֽחֲמִשָּׁ֤ה H2568 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 בּ֔וֹ H0 and made וְעָשֹׂ֣ה H6213 אֹת֔וֹ H853 it a day י֖וֹם H3117 of feasting מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה H4960 and gladness וְשִׂמְחָֽה׃ H8057 19 עַל H5921 כֵּ֞ן H3651 Therefore the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֣ים H3064 of the villages הַפְּרָוזִ֗ים H6521 that dwelt הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֮ H3427 towns בְּעָרֵ֣י H5892 in the unwalled הַפְּרָזוֹת֒ H6519 made עֹשִׂ֗ים H6213 אֵ֠ת H853 day וְי֣וֹם H3117 the fourteenth אַרְבָּעָ֤ה H702 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 of the month לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ H2320 Adar אֲדָ֔ר H143 a day of gladness שִׂמְחָ֥ה H8057 and feasting וּמִשְׁתֶּ֖ה H4960 day וְי֣וֹם H3117 and a good ט֑וֹב H2896 and of sending וּמִשְׁל֥וֹחַ H4916 portions מָנ֖וֹת H4490 one אִ֥ישׁ H376 to another לְרֵעֵֽהוּ׃ H7453 20 wrote וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב H3789 And Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֔י H4782 אֶת H853 these things הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 הָאֵ֑לֶּה H428 and sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח H7971 letters סְפָרִ֜ים H5612 אֶל H413 כָּל H3605 unto all the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֗ים H3064 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 בְּכָל H3605 that were in all the provinces מְדִינוֹת֙ H4082 of the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ H325 both nigh הַקְּרוֹבִ֖ים H7138 and far וְהָֽרְחוֹקִֽים׃ H7350 21 To stablish לְקַיֵּם֮ H6965 עֲלֵיהֶם֒ H5921 לִֽהְי֣וֹת H1961 this among them that they should keep עֹשִׂ֗ים H6213 אֵ֠ת H853 day יוֹם H3117 the fourteenth אַרְבָּעָ֤ה H702 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 of the month לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ H2320 Adar אֲדָ֔ר H143 וְאֵ֛ת H853 day יוֹם H3117 and the fifteenth חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה H2568 עָשָׂ֖ר H6240 בּ֑וֹ H0 בְּכָל H3605 of the same yearly וְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 of the same yearly וְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 22 As the days יְמֵי֙ H3117 אֲשֶׁר H834 rested נָ֨חוּ H5117 בָהֶ֤ם H0 wherein the Jews הַיְּהוּדִים֙ H3064 from their enemies מֵא֣וֹיְבֵיהֶ֔ם H341 and the month וְהַחֹ֗דֶשׁ H2320 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 which was turned נֶהְפַּ֨ךְ H2015 לָהֶ֤ם H1992 unto them from sorrow מִיָּגוֹן֙ H3015 and joy וְשִׂמְחָ֔ה H8057 and from mourning וּמֵאֵ֖בֶל H60 As the days יְמֵי֙ H3117 into a good ט֑וֹב H2896 that they should make לַֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת H6213 אוֹתָ֗ם H853 As the days יְמֵי֙ H3117 of feasting מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה H4960 and joy וְשִׂמְחָ֔ה H8057 and of sending וּמִשְׁל֤וֹחַ H4916 portions מָנוֹת֙ H4490 one אִ֣ישׁ H376 to another לְרֵעֵ֔הוּ H7453 and gifts וּמַתָּנ֖וֹת H4979 to the poor לָֽאֶבְיוֹנִֽים׃ H34 23 undertook וְקִבֵּל֙ H6901 And the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים H3064 אֵ֥ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 as they had begun הֵחֵ֖לּוּ H2490 to do לַֽעֲשׂ֑וֹת H6213 וְאֵ֛ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 had written כָּתַ֥ב H3789 and as Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֖י H4782 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 24 כִּי֩ H3588 Because Haman הָמָ֨ן H2001 the son בֶּֽן H1121 of Hammedatha הַמְּדָ֜תָא H4099 the Agagite הָֽאֲגָגִ֗י H91 the enemy צֹרֵר֙ H6887 כָּל H3605 against the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים H3064 had devised חָשַׁ֥ב H2803 עַל H5921 against the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים H3064 them and to destroy וּֽלְאַבְּדָֽם׃ H6 them and had cast וְהִפִּ֥יל H5307 Pur פּוּר֙ H6332 ה֣וּא H1931 that is the lot הַגּוֹרָ֔ל H1486 to consume לְהֻמָּ֖ם H2000 them and to destroy וּֽלְאַבְּדָֽם׃ H6 25 But when Esther came וּבְבֹאָהּ֮ H935 before לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 the king הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ H4428 he commanded אָמַ֣ר H559 עִם H5973 by letters הַסֵּ֔פֶר H5612 should return יָשׁ֞וּב H7725 device מַֽחֲשַׁבְתּ֧וֹ H4284 that his wicked הָֽרָעָ֛ה H7451 אֲשֶׁר H834 which he devised חָשַׁ֥ב H2803 עַל H5921 against the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים H3064 עַל H5921 upon his own head רֹאשׁ֑וֹ H7218 should be hanged וְתָל֥וּ H8518 אֹת֛וֹ H853 וְאֶת H853 and that he and his sons בָּנָ֖יו H1121 עַל H5921 on the gallows הָעֵֽץ׃ H6086 26 עַל H5921 כֵּ֡ן H3651 Wherefore they called קָֽרְאוּ֩ H7121 these days לַיָּמִ֨ים H3117 הָאֵ֤לֶּה H428 Purim הַפּ֔וּר H6332 עַל H5921 after the name שֵׁ֣ם H8034 Purim הַפּ֔וּר H6332 עַל H5921 כֵּ֕ן H3651 עַל H5921 כָּל H3605 Therefore for all the words דִּבְרֵ֖י H1697 of this letter הָֽאִגֶּ֣רֶת H107 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 וּמָֽה H4100 and of that which they had seen רָא֣וּ H7200 עַל H5921 concerning this matter כָּ֔כָה H3602 וּמָ֥ה H4100 and which had come הִגִּ֖יעַ H5060 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 27 ordained קִיְּמ֣וּ H6965 and took וְקִבְּלּ֣ H6901 The Jews הַיְּהוּדִים֩׀ H3064 עֲלֵיהֶ֨ם׀ H5921 וְעַל H5921 upon them and upon their seed זַרְעָ֜ם H2233 וְעַ֨ל H5921 כָּל H3605 and upon all such as joined הַנִּלְוִ֤ים H3867 עֲלֵיהֶם֙ H5921 וְלֹ֣א H3808 themselves unto them so as it should not fail יַֽעֲב֔וֹר H5674 לִֽהְי֣וֹת H1961 that they would keep עֹשִׂ֗ים H6213 אֵ֣ת H853 these two שְׁנֵ֤י H8147 days הַיָּמִים֙ H3117 הָאֵ֔לֶּה H428 according to their writing כִּכְתָבָ֖ם H3791 and according to their appointed time וְכִזְמַנָּ֑ם H2165 בְּכָל H3605 every year וְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 every year וְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 28 And that these days וִימֵ֞י H3117 הָ֠אֵלֶּה H428 should be remembered נִזְכָּרִ֨ים H2142 and kept וְנַֽעֲשִׂ֜ים H6213 בְּכָל H3605 every generation וָד֗וֹר H1755 every generation וָד֗וֹר H1755 every family וּמִשְׁפָּחָ֔ה H4940 every family וּמִשְׁפָּחָ֔ה H4940 every province וּמְדִינָ֖ה H4082 every province וּמְדִינָ֖ה H4082 and every city וָעִ֑יר H5892 and every city וָעִ֑יר H5892 And that these days וִימֵ֞י H3117 of Purim הַפּוּרִ֣ים H6332 הָאֵ֗לֶּה H428 לֹ֤א H3808 should not fail יַֽעַבְרוּ֙ H5674 from among מִתּ֣וֹךְ H8432 the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים H3064 nor the memorial וְזִכְרָ֖ם H2143 לֹֽא H3808 of them perish יָס֥וּף H5486 from their seed מִזַּרְעָֽם׃ H2233 29 wrote וַ֠תִּכְתֹּב H3789 Then Esther אֶסְתֵּ֨ר H635 the queen הַמַּלְכָּ֧ה H4436 the daughter בַת H1323 of Abihail אֲבִיחַ֛יִל H32 and Mordecai וּמָרְדֳּכַ֥י H4782 the Jew הַיְּהוּדִ֖י H3064 אֶת H854 כָּל H3605 with all authority תֹּ֑קֶף H8633 to confirm לְקַיֵּ֗ם H6965 אֵ֣ת H853 letter אִגֶּ֧רֶת H107 of Purim הַפּוּרִ֛ים H6332 הַזֹּ֖את H2063 this second הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ H8145 30 And he sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח H7971 the letters סְפָרִ֜ים H5612 אֶל H413 כָּל H3605 unto all the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֗ים H3064 אֶל H413 and seven שֶׁ֨בַע H7651 twenty וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים H6242 to the hundred וּמֵאָה֙ H3967 provinces מְדִינָ֔ה H4082 of the kingdom מַלְכ֖וּת H4438 of Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵר֑וֹשׁ H325 with words דִּבְרֵ֥י H1697 of peace שָׁל֖וֹם H7965 and truth וֶֽאֱמֶֽת׃ H571 31 To confirm קִיְּמ֥וּ H6965 אֵת H853 these days יְמֵי֩ H3117 of Purim הַפֻּרִ֨ים H6332 הָאֵ֜לֶּה H428 in their times בִּזְמַנֵּיהֶ֗ם H2165 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֩ H834 To confirm קִיְּמ֥וּ H6965 עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם H5921 appointed according as Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֤י H4782 the Jew הַיְּהוּדִי֙ H3064 and
