פִּ֣י H6310 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 and pitched וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ H2583 in Rephidim בִּרְפִידִ֔ים H7508 וְאֵ֥ין H369 and there was no water מַ֖יִם H4325 to drink לִשְׁתֹּ֥ת H8354 for the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 2 did chide תְּרִיבוּן֙ H7378 Wherefore the people הָעָם֙ H5971 עִם H5973 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 and said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 Give תְּנוּ H5414 לָ֥נוּ H0 us water מַ֖יִם H4325 that we may drink וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה H8354 and said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לָהֶם֙ H0 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 מַה H4100 did chide תְּרִיבוּן֙ H7378 עִמָּדִ֔י H5978 מַה H4100 ye with me wherefore do ye tempt תְּנַסּ֖וּן H5254 אֶת H853 the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 3 thirsted וַיִּצְמָ֨א H6770 שָׁ֤ם H8033 And the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 there for water לַמַּ֔יִם H4325 murmured וַיָּ֥לֶן H3885 And the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 עַל H5921 against Moses מֹשֶׁ֑ה H4872 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 לָ֤מָּה H4100 זֶּה֙ H2088 Wherefore is this that thou hast brought הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֣נוּ H5927 us up out of Egypt מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם H4714 to kill לְהָמִ֥ית H4191 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁ֗ה H4872 Go on עֲבֹר֙ H5674 before לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 and take קַ֥ח H3947 אִתְּךָ֖ H854 with thee of the elders מִזִּקְנֵ֣י H2205 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 and thy rod וּמַטְּךָ֗ H4294 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 wherewith thou smotest הִכִּ֤יתָ H5221 בּוֹ֙ H0 אֶת H853 the river הַיְאֹ֔ר H2975 and take קַ֥ח H3947 in thine hand בְּיָֽדְךָ֖ H3027 and go וְהָלָֽכְתָּ׃ H1980 6 הִנְנִ֣י H2005 Behold I will stand עֹמֵד֩ H5975 before לְפָנֶ֨יךָ H6440 שָּׁ֥ם׀ H8033 עַֽל H5921 the rock בַצּ֗וּר H6697 in Horeb בְּחֹרֵב֒ H2722 and thou shalt smite וְהִכִּ֣יתָ H5221 the rock בַצּ֗וּר H6697 and there shall come וְיָֽצְא֥וּ H3318 מִמֶּ֛נּוּ H4480 water מַ֖יִם H4325 may drink וְשָׁתָ֣ה H8354 out of it that the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 did וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 כֵּן֙ H3651 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 so in the sight לְעֵינֵ֖י H5869 of the elders זִקְנֵ֥י H2205 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 7 And he called וַיִּקְרָא֙ H7121 the name שֵׁ֣ם H8034 of the place הַמָּק֔וֹם H4725 Massah מַסָּ֖ה H4532 and Meribah וּמְרִיבָ֑ה H4809 עַל H5921 because of the chiding רִ֣יב׀ H7379 of the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478 וְעַ֨ל H5921 and because they tempted נַסֹּתָ֤ם H5254 אֶת H853 the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 Is הֲיֵ֧שׁ H3426 the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 among בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ H7130 אִם H518 אָֽיִן׃ H369 8 Then came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 Amalek עֲמָלֵ֑ק H6002 and fought וַיִּלָּ֥חֶם H3898 עִם H5973 with Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 in Rephidim בִּרְפִידִֽם׃ H7508 9 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֤ה H4872 אֶל H413 unto Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ H3091 Choose us out בְּחַר H977 לָ֣נוּ H0 אֲנָשִׁ֔ים H376 and go out וְצֵ֖א H3318 fight הִלָּחֵ֣ם H3898 with Amalek בַּֽעֲמָלֵ֑ק H6002 to morrow מָחָ֗ר H4279 אָֽנֹכִ֤י H595 I will stand נִצָּב֙ H5324 עַל H5921 on the top רֹ֣אשׁ H7218 of the hill הַגִּבְעָ֔ה H1389 with the rod וּמַטֵּ֥ה H4294 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 in mine hand בְּיָדִֽי׃ H3027 10 did וַיַּ֣עַשׂ H6213 So Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ H3091 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 had said אָֽמַר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 and Moses וּמֹשֶׁה֙ H4872 to him and fought לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם H3898 with Amalek בַּֽעֲמָלֵ֑ק H6002 and Moses וּמֹשֶׁה֙ H4872 Aaron אַֽהֲרֹ֣ן H175 and Hur וְח֔וּר H2354 went up עָל֖וּ H5927 to the top רֹ֥אשׁ H7218 of the hill הַגִּבְעָֽה׃ H1389 11 וְהָיָ֗ה H1961 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 held up יָרִ֥ים H7311 And it came to pass when Moses מֹשֶׁ֛ה H4872 his hand יָד֖וֹ H3027 prevailed וְגָבַ֥ר H1396 that Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 וְכַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 and when he let down יָנִ֛יחַ H5117 his hand יָד֖וֹ H3027 prevailed וְגָבַ֥ר H1396 Amalek עֲמָלֵֽק׃ H6002 12 and his hands יָדָ֛יו H3027 But Moses מֹשֶׁה֙ H4872 were heavy כְּבֵדִ֔ים H3515 and they took וַיִּקְחוּ H3947 a stone אֶ֛בֶן H68 and put וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ H7760 תַחְתָּ֖יו H8478 it under him and he sat וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב H3427 עָלֶ֑יהָ H5921 thereon and Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֨ן H175 and Hur וְח֜וּר H2354 stayed up תָּֽמְכ֣וּ H8551 and his hands יָדָ֛יו H3027 מִזֶּ֤ה H2088 and the other on the other side אֶחָ֔ד H259 וּמִזֶּ֣ה H2088 and the other on the other side אֶחָ֔ד H259 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 and his hands יָדָ֛יו H3027 were steady אֱמוּנָ֖ה H530 עַד H5704 until the going down בֹּ֥א H935 of the sun הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ H8121 13 discomfited וַיַּֽחֲלֹ֧שׁ H2522 And Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ H3091 אֶת H853 Amalek עֲמָלֵ֥ק H6002 וְאֶת H853 and his people עַמּ֖וֹ H5971 with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חָֽרֶב׃ H2719 14 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁ֗ה H4872 Write כְּתֹ֨ב H3789 זֹ֤את H2063 this for a memorial זִכָּרוֹן֙ H2146 in a book בַּסֵּ֔פֶר H5612 and rehearse וְשִׂ֖ים H7760 it in the ears בְּאָזְנֵ֣י H241 of Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ H3091 כִּֽי H3588 for I will utterly אֶמְחֶה֙ H4229 for I will utterly אֶמְחֶה֙ H4229 אֶת H853 the remembrance זֵ֣כֶר H2143 of Amalek עֲמָלֵ֔ק H6002 מִתַּ֖חַת H8478 from under heaven הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ H8064 15 built וַיִּ֥בֶן H1129 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֖ה H4872 an altar מִזְבֵּ֑חַ H4196 and called וַיִּקְרָ֥א H7121 the name שְׁמ֖וֹ H8034 יְהוָ֥ה׀ H3068 נִסִּֽי׃ H5251 16 For he said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 כִּֽי H3588 hath sworn יָד֙ H3027 עַל H5921 כֵּ֣ס H3676 Because the LORD יָ֔הּ H3050 will have war
