וְדָֽלִיּוֹתָיו֙ H1808 toward him and shot forth שִׁלְחָה H7971 לּ֔וֹ H0 toward him that he might water לְהַשְׁק֣וֹת H8248 אוֹתָ֔הּ H853 it by the furrows מֵעֲרֻג֖וֹת H6170 of her plantation מַטָּעָֽהּ׃ H4302 8 אֶל H413 soil שָׂ֥דֶה H7704 in a good טּ֛וֹב H2896 אֶל H413 waters מַ֥יִם H4325 by great רַבִּ֖ים H7227 הִ֣יא H1931 It was planted שְׁתוּלָ֑ה H8362 that it might bring forth לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת H6213 branches עָנָף֙ H6057 and that it might bear וְלָשֵׂ֣את H5375 fruit פֶּ֔רִי H6529 לִהְי֖וֹת H1961 vine לְגֶ֥פֶן H1612 that it might be a goodly אַדָּֽרֶת׃ H155 9 Say אָמַ֛ר H559 כֹּ֥ה H3541 Say אָמַ֛ר H559 the Lord אֲדֹנָ֥י H136 GOD יְהוִֹ֖ה H3069 Shall it prosper תִּצְלָ֑ח H6743 הֲלוֹא֩ H3808 אֶת H853 by the roots מִשָּׁרָשֶֽׁיהָ׃ H8328 shall he not pull up יְנַתֵּ֜ק H5423 וְאֶת H853 the fruit פִּרְיָ֣הּ׀ H6529 thereof and cut off יְקוֹסֵ֣ס H7082 it shall wither תִּיבָ֔שׁ H3001 כָּל H3605 in all the leaves טַרְפֵּ֤י H2964 of her spring צִמְחָהּ֙ H6780 it shall wither תִּיבָ֔שׁ H3001 וְלֹֽא H3808 power בִזְרֹ֤עַ H2220 even without great גְּדוֹלָה֙ H1419 people וּבְעַם H5971 or many רָ֔ב H7227 to pluck it up לְמַשְׂא֥וֹת H5375 אוֹתָ֖הּ H853 by the roots מִשָּׁרָשֶֽׁיהָ׃ H8328 10 וְהִנֵּ֥ה H2009 Yea behold being planted שְׁתוּלָ֖ה H8362 shall it prosper הֲתִצְלָ֑ח H6743 הֲלֹא֩ H3808 toucheth כְגַ֨עַת H5060 בָּ֜הּ H0 wind ר֤וּחַ H7307 when the east הַקָּדִים֙ H6921 it it shall wither תִּיבָֽשׁ׃ H3001 it it shall wither תִּיבָֽשׁ׃ H3001 עַל H5921 in the furrows עֲרֻגֹ֥ת H6170 where it grew צִמְחָ֖הּ H6780 it it shall wither תִּיבָֽשׁ׃ H3001 11 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 Moreover the word דְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֵלַ֥י H413 came unto me saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 12 Say אֱמֹ֗ר H559 נָא֙ H4994 house לְבֵ֣ית H1004 now to the rebellious הַמֶּ֔רִי H4805 הֲלֹ֥א H3808 Know יְדַעְתֶּ֖ם H3045 מָה H4100 אֵ֑לֶּה H428 Say אֱמֹ֗ר H559 הִנֵּה H2009 is come וַיָּבֵ֥א H935 the king מַלְכָּהּ֙ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 to Jerusalem יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ H3389 and hath taken וַיִּקַּ֤ח H3947 אֶת H853 the king מַלְכָּהּ֙ H4428 וְאֶת H853 thereof and the princes שָׂרֶ֔יהָ H8269 is come וַיָּבֵ֥א H935 אוֹתָ֛ם H853 אֵלָ֖יו H413 of Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 13 And hath taken לָקָֽח׃ H3947 seed מִזֶּ֣רַע H2233 of the king's הַמְּלוּכָ֔ה H4410 and made וַיִּכְרֹ֥ת H3772 אִתּ֖וֹ H854 a covenant בְּרִ֑ית H1285 with him and hath taken וַיָּבֵ֤א H935 אֹתוֹ֙ H853 an oath בְּאָלָ֔ה H423 וְאֶת H853 the mighty אֵילֵ֥י H352 of the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 And hath taken לָקָֽח׃ H3947 14 לִֽהְיוֹת֙ H1961 That the kingdom מַמְלָכָ֣ה H4467 might be base שְׁפָלָ֔ה H8217 לְבִלְתִּ֖י H1115 that it might not lift itself up הִתְנַשֵּׂ֑א H5375 but that by keeping לִשְׁמֹ֥ר H8104 אֶת H853 of his covenant בְּרִית֖וֹ H1285 it might stand לְעָמְדָֽהּ׃ H5975 15 But he rebelled וַיִּמְרָד H4775 בּ֗וֹ H0 against him in sending לִשְׁלֹ֤חַ H7971 his ambassadors מַלְאָכָיו֙ H4397 into Egypt מִצְרַ֔יִם H4714 that they might give לָֽתֶת H5414 ל֥וֹ H0 him horses סוּסִ֖ים H5483 people וְעַם H5971 and much רָ֑ב H7227 Shall he prosper הֲיִצְלָ֤ח H6743 and be delivered וְנִמְלָֽט׃ H4422 that doeth הָעֹשֵׂ֣ה H6213 אֵ֔לֶּה H428 such things or shall he break וְהֵפֵ֥ר H6565 the covenant בְּרִ֖ית H1285 and be delivered וְנִמְלָֽט׃ H4422 16 As I live חַי H2416 אָ֗נִי H589 saith נְאֻם֮ H5002 the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י H136 יְהוִה֒ H3068 אִם H518 לֹ֗א H3808 surely in the place בִּמְקוֹם֙ H4725 where the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 dwelleth that made him king הַמַּמְלִ֣יךְ H4427 אֹת֔וֹ H853 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 he despised בָּזָה֙ H959 אֶת H853 whose oath אָ֣לָת֔וֹ H423 וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 he brake הֵפֵ֖ר H6565 אֶת H853 and whose covenant בְּרִית֑וֹ H1285 אִתּ֥וֹ H854 even with him in the midst בְתוֹךְ H8432 of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל H894 he shall die יָמֽוּת׃ H4191 17 וְלֹא֩ H3808 army בְחַ֨יִל H2428 with his mighty גָּד֜וֹל H1419 company וּבְקָהָ֣ל H6951 and great רַבּֽוֹת׃ H7227 make יַעֲשֶׂ֨ה H6213 אוֹת֤וֹ H853 Neither shall Pharaoh פַרְעֹה֙ H6547 for him in the war בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה H4421 by casting up בִּשְׁפֹּ֥ךְ H8210 mounts סֹלְלָ֖ה H5550 and building וּבִבְנ֣וֹת H1129 forts דָּיֵ֑ק H1785 to cut off לְהַכְרִ֖ית H3772 persons נְפָשׁ֥וֹת H5315 and great רַבּֽוֹת׃ H7227 18 Seeing he despised וּבָזָ֥ה H959 the oath אָלָ֖ה H423 by breaking לְהָפֵ֣ר H6565 the covenant בְּרִ֑ית H1285 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 when lo he had given נָתַ֥ן H5414 his hand יָד֛וֹ H3027 וְכָל H3605 אֵ֥לֶּה H428 and hath done עָשָׂ֖ה H6213 לֹ֥א H3808 all these things he shall not escape יִמָּלֵֽט׃ H4422 19 לָכֵ֞ן H3651 כֹּה H3541 Therefore thus saith אָמַ֨ר H559 the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י H136 GOD יְהוִה֮ H3069 As I live חַי H2416 אָנִי֒ H589 אִם H518 לֹ֗א H3808 surely mine oath אָֽלָתִי֙ H423 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that he hath despised בָּזָ֔ה H959 and my covenant וּבְרִיתִ֖י H1285 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that he hath broken הֵפִ֑יר H6331 even it will I recompense וּנְתַתִּ֖יו H5414 upon his own head בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ H7218 20 And I will spread וּפָרַשְׂתִּ֤י H6566 עָלָיו֙ H5921 my net רִשְׁתִּ֔י H7568 upon him and he shall be taken וְנִתְפַּ֖שׂ H8610 in my snare בִּמְצֽוּדָתִ֑י H4686 and I will bring וַהֲבִיאוֹתִ֣יהוּ H935 him to Babylon בָבֶ֗לָה H894 and will plead וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּ֤י H8199 אִתּוֹ֙ H854 שָׁ֔ם H8033 with him there for his trespass מַעֲל֖וֹ H4603 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that he hath trespassed מָֽעַל H4604 בִּֽי׃ H0 21 וְאֵ֨ת H853 כָּל H3605 And all his fugitives מִבְרָחָ֤ו H4015 בְּכָל H3605 with all his bands אֲגַפָּיו֙ H102 by the sword בַּחֶ֣רֶב H2719 shall fall יִפֹּ֔לוּ H5307 and they that remain וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֖ים H7604 לְכָל H3605 toward all winds ר֣וּחַ H7307 shall be scattered יִפָּרֵ֑שׂוּ H6566 and ye shall know וִידַעְתֶּ֕ם H3045 כִּ֛י H3588 אֲנִ֥י H589 that I the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 have spoken דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃ H1696 22 כֹּ֤ה H3541 Thus saith אָמַר֙ H559 the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י H136 GOD יְהוִ֔ה H3069 I will also take וְלָקַ֣חְתִּי H3947 אָ֗נִי H589 of the highest branch מִצַּמֶּ֧רֶת H6788 cedar הָאֶ֛רֶז H730 of the high הָרָמָ֖ה H7311 and will set וְנָתָ֑תִּי H5414 from the top מֵרֹ֤אשׁ H7218 of his young twigs יֹֽנְקוֹתָיו֙ H3127 a tender one רַ֣ךְ H7390 it I will crop off אֶקְטֹ֔ף H6998 and will plant וְשָׁתַ֣לְתִּי H8362 אָ֔נִי H589 עַ֥ל H5921 mountain הַר H2022 it upon an high גָּבֹ֖הַ H1364 and eminent וְתָלֽוּל׃ H8524 23 In the mountain בְּהַ֨ר H2022 of the height מְר֤וֹם H4791 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 will I plant אֶשְׁתֳּלֶ֔נּוּ H8362 it and it shall bring forth וְנָשָׂ֤א H5375 boughs עָנָף֙ H6057 and bear וְעָ֣שָׂה H6213 fruit פֶ֔רִי H6529 וְהָיָ֖ה H1961 cedar לְאֶ֣רֶז H730 and be a goodly אַדִּ֑יר H117 and under it shall dwell תִּשְׁכֹּֽנָּה׃ H7931 תַחְתָּ֗יו H8478 כֹּ֚ל H3605 all fowl צִפּ֣וֹר H6833 כָּל H3605 of every wing כָּנָ֔ף H3671 in the shadow בְּצֵ֥ל H6738 of the branches דָּלִיּוֹתָ֖יו H1808 and under it shall dwell תִּשְׁכֹּֽנָּה׃ H7931 24 shall know וְֽיָדְע֞וּ H3045 כָּל H3605 And all the trees עֵ֣ץ H6086 of the field הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה H7704 כִּ֣י H3588 אֲנִ֤י H589 I the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 have brought down הִשְׁפַּ֣לְתִּי׀ H8213 And all the trees עֵ֣ץ H6086 the high גָּבֹ֗הַ H1364 have exalted הִגְבַּ֙הְתִּי֙ H1361 And all the trees עֵ֣ץ H6086 the low שָׁפָ֔ל H8217 have dried הוֹבַ֙שְׁתִּי֙ H3001 And all the trees עֵ֣ץ H6086 up the green לָ֔ח H3892 to flourish וְהִפְרַ֖חְתִּי H6524 And all the trees עֵ֣ץ H6086 and have made the dry יָבֵ֑שׁ H3002 אֲנִ֥י H589 I the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 have spoken דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי H1696 and have done וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃
