in Gerar בִּגְרָֽר׃ H1642 2 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֛ם H85 of אֶל H413 Sarah שָׂרָֽה׃ H8283 his wife אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ H802 She is my sister אֲחֹ֣תִי H269 הִ֑וא H1931 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח H7971 and Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֙לֶךְ֙ H40 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Gerar גְּרָ֔ר H1642 and took וַיִּקַּ֖ח H3947 אֶת H853 Sarah שָׂרָֽה׃ H8283 3 came וַיָּבֹ֧א H935 But God אֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 אֶל H413 to Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ H40 in a dream בַּֽחֲל֣וֹם H2472 by night הַלָּ֑יְלָה H3915 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 ל֗וֹ H0 הִנְּךָ֥ H2009 to him Behold thou art but a dead man מֵת֙ H4191 עַל H5921 for the woman הָֽאִשָּׁ֣ה H802 אֲשֶׁר H834 which thou hast taken לָקַ֔חְתָּ H3947 וְהִ֖וא H1931 wife בְּעֻ֥לַת H1166 for she is a man's בָּֽעַל׃ H1167 4 But Abimelech וַֽאֲבִימֶ֕לֶךְ H40 לֹ֥א H3808 had not come near קָרַ֖ב H7126 אֵלֶ֑יהָ H413 her and he said וַיֹּאמַ֕ר H559 Lord אֲדֹנָ֕י H136 nation הֲג֥וֹי H1471 גַּם H1571 also a righteous צַדִּ֖יק H6662 wilt thou slay תַּֽהֲרֹֽג׃ H2026 5 הֲלֹ֨א H3808 and she ה֑וּא H1931 Said אָֽמְרָ֖ה H559 לִי֙ H0 is my sister אֲחֹ֣תִי H269 and she ה֑וּא H1931 and she ה֑וּא H1931 even גַם H1571 and she ה֑וּא H1931 Said אָֽמְרָ֖ה H559 He is my brother אָחִ֣י H251 and אֲבִימֶ֜לֶךְ H40 Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֗ם H85 and said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 ל֜וֹ H0 מֶֽה H4100 thou hast done עָשִׂ֖יתָ H6213 לָּ֙נוּ֙ H0 וּמֶֽה H4100 unto us and what have I offended חָטָ֣אתִי H2398 לָ֔ךְ H0 כִּֽי H3588 thee that thou hast brought הֵבֵ֧אתָ H935 עָלַ֛י H5921 וְעַל H5921 on me and on my kingdom מַמְלַכְתִּ֖י H4467 sin חֲטָאָ֣ה H2401 a great גְדֹלָ֑ה H1419 deeds מַֽעֲשִׂים֙ H4639 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H4100 sawest thou רָאִ֔יתָ H7200 כִּ֥י H3588 that thou hast done עָשִׂ֖יתָ H6213 אֶת H853 this thing הַדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 11 Because I thought אָמַ֗רְתִּי H559 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֔ם H85 כִּ֣י H3588 Because I thought אָמַ֗רְתִּי H559 Surely רַ֚ק H7535 אֵין H369 the fear יִרְאַ֣ת H3374 of God אֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 is not in this place בַּמָּק֖וֹם H4725 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 and they will slay me וַֽהֲרָג֖וּנִי H2026 עַל H5921 sake דְּבַ֥ר H1697 for my wife's אִשְׁתִּֽי׃ H802 12 וְגַם H1571 And yet indeed אָמְנָ֗ה H546 she is my sister אֲחֹתִ֤י H269 but not the daughter בַת H1323 of my father אָבִי֙ H1 הִ֔וא H1931 אַ֖ךְ H389 לֹ֣א H3808 but not the daughter בַת H1323 of my mother אִמִּ֑י H517 וַתְּהִי H1961 לִ֖י H0 and she became my wife לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ H802 13 וַיְהִ֞י H1961 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֧ר H834 caused me to wander הִתְע֣וּ H8582 אֹתִ֗י H853 And it came to pass when God אֱלֹהִים֮ H430 house מִבֵּ֣ית H1004 from my father's אָבִי֒ H1 say אִמְרִי H559 לָ֔הּ H0 זֶ֣ה H2088 unto her This is thy kindness חַסְדֵּ֔ךְ H2617 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which thou shalt shew תַּֽעֲשִׂ֖י H6213 עִמָּדִ֑י H5978 אֶ֤ל H413 כָּל H3605 unto me at every place הַמָּקוֹם֙ H4725 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 whither we shall come נָב֣וֹא H935 שָׁ֔מָּה H8033 say אִמְרִי H559 לִ֖י H0 of me He is my brother אָחִ֥י H251 הֽוּא׃ H1931 14 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 And Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֜לֶךְ H40 sheep צֹ֣אן H6629 and oxen וּבָקָ֗ר H1241 and menservants וַֽעֲבָדִים֙ H5650 and womenservants וּשְׁפָחֹ֔ת H8198 and gave וַיִּתֵּ֖ן H5414 them unto Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם H85 and restored וַיָּ֣שֶׁב H7725 ל֔וֹ H0 אֵ֖ת H853 him Sarah שָׂרָ֥ה H8283 his wife אִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ H802 15 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ H40 הִנֵּ֥ה H2009 Behold my land אַרְצִ֖י H776 is before thee לְפָנֶ֑יךָ H6440 where it pleaseth בַּטּ֥וֹב H2896 בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ H5869 dwell שֵֽׁב׃ H3427 16 And unto Sarah וּלְשָׂרָ֣ה H8283 he said אָמַ֗ר H559 הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 Behold I have given נָתַ֜תִּי H5414 a thousand אֶ֤לֶף H505 pieces of silver כֶּ֙סֶף֙ H3701 thy brother לְאָחִ֔יךְ H251 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 הוּא H1931 לָךְ֙ H0 behold he is to thee a covering כְּס֣וּת H3682 of the eyes עֵינַ֔יִם H5869 לְכֹ֖ל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אִתָּ֑ךְ H854 וְאֵ֥ת H854 כֹּ֖ל H3605
