וַתַּהַר֩ H2029 and bare וַתֵּ֨לֶד H3205 For Sarah שָׂרָ֧ה H8283 Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם H85 a son בֵּ֖ן H1121 in his old age לִזְקֻנָ֑יו H2208 at the set time לַמּוֹעֵ֕ד H4150 אֲשֶׁר H834 had spoken would have said מִלֵּל֙ H4448 unto Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֔ם H85 suck הֵינִ֥יקָה H3243 him a son בֵ֖ן H1121 that Sarah שָׂרָ֑ה H8283 כִּֽי H3588 for I have born יָלַ֥דְתִּי H3205 him a son בֵ֖ן H1121 in his old age לִזְקֻנָֽיו׃ H2208 8 grew וַיִּגְדַּ֥ל H1431 And the child הַיֶּ֖לֶד H3206 and was weaned הִגָּמֵ֥ל H1580 made וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 and Abraham אַבְרָהָם֙ H85 feast מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה H4960 a great גָד֔וֹל H1419 the same day בְּי֖וֹם H3117 and was weaned הִגָּמֵ֥ל H1580 אֶת H853 that Isaac יִצְחָֽק׃ H3327 9 saw וַתֵּ֨רֶא H7200 And Sarah שָׂרָ֜ה H8283 אֶֽת H853 the son בֶּן H1121 of Hagar הָגָ֧ר H1904 the Egyptian הַמִּצְרִ֛ית H4713 אֲשֶׁר H834 which she had born יָֽלְדָ֥ה H3205 unto Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֖ם H85 mocking מְצַחֵֽק׃ H6711 10 Wherefore she said וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 unto Abraham לְאַבְרָהָ֔ם H85 Cast out גָּרֵ֛שׁ H1644 of this bondwoman הָֽאָמָ֣ה H519 הַזֹּ֖את H2063 וְאֶת H853 and her son בְּנִ֖י H1121 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֤א H3808 shall not be heir יִירַשׁ֙ H3423 and her son בְּנִ֖י H1121 of this bondwoman הָֽאָמָ֣ה H519 הַזֹּ֔את H2063 עִם H5973 and her son בְּנִ֖י H1121 עִם H5973 even with Isaac יִצְחָֽק׃ H3327 11 וַיֵּ֧רַע H7489 And the thing הַדָּבָ֛ר H1697 was very מְאֹ֖ד H3966 sight בְּעֵינֵ֣י H5869 in Abraham's אַבְרָהָ֑ם H85 עַ֖ל H5921 because אוֹדֹ֥ת H182 of his son בְּנֽוֹ׃ H1121 12 hath said תֹּאמַ֥ר H559 And God אֱלֹהִ֜ים H430 אֶל H413 unto Abraham אַבְרָהָ֗ם H85 אַל H408 יֵרַ֤ע H7489 in thy sight בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ H5869 עַל H5921 because of the lad הַנַּ֣עַר H5288 וְעַל H5921 and because of thy bondwoman אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ H519 כֹּל֩ H3605 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 hath said תֹּאמַ֥ר H559 אֵלֶ֛יךָ H413 in all that Sarah שָׂרָ֖ה H8283 unto thee hearken שְׁמַ֣ע H8085 unto her voice בְּקֹלָ֑הּ H6963 כִּ֣י H3588 for in Isaac בְיִצְחָ֔ק H3327 be called יִקָּרֵ֥א H7121 לְךָ֖ H0 shall thy seed זָֽרַע׃ H2233 13 וְגַ֥ם H1571 אֶת H853 And also of the son בֶּן H1121 of the bondwoman הָֽאָמָ֖ה H519 a nation לְג֣וֹי H1471 will I make אֲשִׂימֶ֑נּוּ H7760 כִּ֥י H3588 because he is thy seed זַרְעֲךָ֖ H2233 הֽוּא׃ H1931 14 rose up early וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֣ם H7925 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֣ם׀ H85 in the morning בַּבֹּ֡קֶר H1242 and took וַיִּֽקַּֽח H3947 bread לֶחֶם֩ H3899 and a bottle וְחֵ֨מַת H2573 of water מַ֜יִם H4325 and gave וַיִּתֵּ֣ן H5414 אֶל H413 it unto Hagar הָ֠גָר H1904 putting שָׂ֧ם H7760 עַל H5921 it on her shoulder שִׁכְמָ֛הּ H7926 וְאֶת H853 and the child הַיֶּ֖לֶד H3206 and sent her away וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֶ֑הָ H7971 וַתֵּ֣לֶךְ H1980 and wandered וַתֵּ֔תַע H8582 in the wilderness בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר H4057 בְּאֵ֥ר H0 of Beersheba שָֽׁבַע׃ H884 15 was spent וַיִּכְל֥וּ H3615 And the water הַמַּ֖יִם H4325 in מִן H4480 the bottle הַחֵ֑מֶת H2573 and she cast וַתַּשְׁלֵ֣ךְ H7993 אֶת H853 the child הַיֶּ֔לֶד H3206 תַּ֖חַת H8478 under one אַחַ֥ד H259 of the shrubs הַשִּׂיחִֽם׃ H7880 16 וַתֵּלֶךְ֩ H1980 And she sat וַתֵּ֣שֶׁב H3427 לָ֜הּ H0 over against מִנֶּ֔גֶד H5048 him a good way off הַרְחֵק֙ H7368 as it were a bowshot כִּמְטַֽחֲוֵ֣י H2909 קֶ֔שֶׁת H7198 כִּ֣י H3588 for she said אָֽמְרָ֔ה H559 אַל H408 Let me not see אֶרְאֶ֖ה H7200 the death בְּמ֣וֹת H4194 of the child הַיָּ֑לֶד H3206 And she sat וַתֵּ֣שֶׁב H3427 over against מִנֶּ֔גֶד H5048 over against him and lift up וַתִּשָּׂ֥א H5375 אֶת H853 her voice קֹלָ֖הּ H6963 and wept וַתֵּֽבְךְּ׃ H1058 17 hath heard שָׁמַ֧ע H8085 And God אֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 אֶת H853 the voice ק֥וֹל H6963 of the lad הַנַּ֖עַר H5288 called וַיִּקְרָא֩ H7121 and the angel מַלְאַ֨ךְ H4397 And God אֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 אֶל H413 to Hagar הָגָ֑ר H1904 מִן H4480 out of heaven הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם H8064 and said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 לָ֖הּ H0 מַה H4100 לָּ֣ךְ H0 to Hagar הָגָ֑ר H1904 אַל H408 fear תִּ֣ירְאִ֔י H3372 כִּֽי H3588 hath heard שָׁמַ֧ע H8085 And God אֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 אֶל H413 the voice ק֥וֹל H6963 of the lad הַנַּ֖עַר H5288 בַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 הוּא H1931 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 18 Arise ק֚וּמִי H6965 lift up שְׂאִ֣י H5375 אֶת H853 the lad הַנַּ֔עַר H5288 and hold וְהַֽחֲזִ֥יקִי H2388 אֶת H854 him in thine hand יָדֵ֖ךְ H3027 בּ֑וֹ H0 כִּֽי H3588 nation לְג֥וֹי H1471 him a great גָּד֖וֹל H1419 for I will make אֲשִׂימֶֽנּוּ׃ H7760 19 opened וַיִּפְקַ֤ח H6491 And God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 אֶת H853 her eyes עֵינֶ֔יהָ H5869 and she saw וַתֵּ֖רֶא H7200 a well בְּאֵ֣ר H875 of water מַ֔יִם H4325 וַתֵּ֜לֶךְ H1980 and filled וַתְּמַלֵּ֤א H4390 אֶת H853 the bottle הַחֵ֙מֶת֙ H2573 of water מַ֔יִם H4325 and gave וַתַּ֖שְׁקְ H8248 אֶת H853 the lad הַנָּֽעַר׃ H5288 20 וַיְהִ֧י H1961 And God אֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 אֶת H854 was with the lad הַנַּ֖עַר H5288 and he grew וַיִּגְדָּ֑ל H1431 and dwelt וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ H3427 in the wilderness בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר H4057 וַיְהִ֖י H1961 רֹבֶ֥ה H7232 קַשָּֽׁת׃ H7198 21 And he dwelt וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב H3427 in the wilderness בְּמִדְבַּ֣ר H4057 of Paran פָּארָ֑ן H6290 took וַתִּֽקַּֽח H3947 ל֥וֹ H0 and his mother אִמּ֛וֹ H517 him a wife אִשָּׁ֖ה H802 out of the land מֵאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Egypt מִצְרָֽיִם׃ H4714 22 וַֽיְהִי֙ H1961 And it came to pass at that time בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֔וא H1931 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 that Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ H40 and Phichol וּפִיכֹל֙ H6369 the chief captain שַׂר H8269 of his host צְבָא֔וֹ H6635 אֶל H413 unto Abraham אַבְרָהָ֖ם H85 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 God אֱלֹהִ֣ים H430 עִמְּךָ֔ H5973 בְּכֹ֥ל H3605 אֲשֶׁר H834 אַתָּ֖ה H859 is with thee in all that thou doest עֹשֶֽׂה׃ H6213 23 וְעַתָּ֗ה H6258 Now therefore swear הִשָּׁ֨בְעָה H7650 לִּ֤י H0 by God בֵֽאלֹהִים֙ H430 unto me here הֵ֔נָּה H2008 אִם H518 that thou wilt not deal falsely תִּשְׁקֹ֣ר H8266 לִ֔י H0 with me nor with my son וּלְנִינִ֖י H5209 nor with my son's son וּלְנֶכְדִּ֑י H5220 but according to the kindness כַּחֶ֜סֶד H2617 אֲשֶׁר H834 that I have done תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה H6213 עִמְּךָ֙ H5973 that I have done תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה H6213 עִמָּדִ֔י H5978 וְעִם H5973 unto me and to the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁר H834 wherein thou hast sojourned גַּ֥רְתָּה H1481 בָּֽהּ׃ H0 24 said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֔ם H85 אָֽנֹכִ֖י H595 I will swear אִשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃ H7650 25 reproved וְהוֹכִ֥חַ H3198 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֖ם H85 אֶת H853 Abimelech אֲבִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ H40 עַל H5921 because אֹדוֹת֙ H182 of a well בְּאֵ֣ר H875 of water הַמַּ֔יִם H4325 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 had violently taken away גָּֽזְל֖וּ H1497 servants עַבְדֵ֥י H5650 Abimelech אֲבִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ H40 26 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ H40 me neither לֹ֥א H3808 I wot יָדַ֔עְתִּי H3045 מִ֥י H4310 not who hath done עָשָׂ֖ה H6213 אֶת H853 this thing הַדָּבָ֣ר H1697 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 וְגַם H1571 אַתָּ֞ה H859 me neither לֹ֥א H3808 didst thou tell הִגַּ֣דְתָּ H5046 לִּ֗י H0 וְגַ֧ם H1571 אָֽנֹכִ֛י H595 me neither לֹ֥א H3808 yet heard שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי H8085 I of it but בִּלְתִּ֥י H1115 to day הַיּֽוֹם׃ H3117 27 took וַיִּקַּ֤ח H3947 And Abraham אַבְרָהָם֙ H85 sheep צֹ֣אן H6629 and oxen וּבָקָ֔ר H1241 and gave וַיִּתֵּ֖ן H5414 them unto Abimelech לַֽאֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ H40 made וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ H3772 and both of them שְׁנֵיהֶ֖ם H8147 a covenant בְּרִֽית׃ H1285 28 set וַיַּצֵּ֣ב H5324 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֗ם H85 אֶת H853 seven שֶׁ֛בַע H7651 ewe lambs כִּבְשֹׂ֥ת H3535 of the flock הַצֹּ֖אן H6629 לְבַדְּהֶֽן׃ H905 29 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 And Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ H40 אֶל H413 unto Abraham אַבְרָהָ֑ם H85 מָ֣ה H4100 הֵ֗נָּה H2007 mean these seven שֶׁ֤בַע H7651 ewe lambs כְּבָשֹׂת֙ H3535 הָאֵ֔לֶּה H428 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which thou hast set הִצַּ֖בְתָּ H5324 לְבַדָּֽנָה׃ H905 30 And he said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 כִּ֚י H3588 אֶת H853 For these seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 ewe lambs כְּבָשֹׂ֔ת H3535 shalt thou take תִּקַּ֖ח H3947 of my hand מִיָּדִ֑י H3027 that בַּֽעֲבוּר֙ H5668 תִּֽהְיֶה H1961 לִּ֣י H0 they may be a witness לְעֵדָ֔ה H5713 כִּ֥י H3588 unto me that I have digged חָפַ֖רְתִּי H2658 אֶת H853 this well הַבְּאֵ֥ר H875 הַזֹּֽאת׃ H2088 31 עַל H5921 כֵּ֗ן H3651 Wherefore he called קָרָ֛א H7121 that place לַמָּק֥וֹם H4725 הַה֖וּא H1931 בְּאֵ֣ר H0 Beersheba שָׁ֑בַע H884 כִּ֛י H3588 שָׁ֥ם H8033 because there they sware נִשְׁבְּע֖וּ H7650 both of them שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ H8147 32 Thus they made וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ H3772 a covenant בְרִ֖ית H1285 בִּבְאֵ֣ר H0 at Beersheba שָׁ֑בַע H884 rose up וַיָּ֣קָם H6965 then Abimelech אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ H40 and Phichol וּפִיכֹל֙ H6369 the chief captain שַׂר H8269 of his host צְבָא֔וֹ H6635 and they returned וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ H7725 אֶל H413 into the land אֶ֥רֶץ H776 of the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ H6430 33 And Abraham planted וַיִּטַּ֥ע H5193 a grove אֶ֖שֶׁל H815 בִּבְאֵ֣ר H0 in Beersheba שָׁ֑בַע H884 and called וַיִּ֨קְרָא H7121 שָׁ֔ם H8033 there on the name בְּשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֵ֥ל H410 the everlasting עוֹלָֽם׃ H5769 34 sojourned וַיָּ֧גָר H1481 And Abraham אַבְרָהָ֛ם H85 land בְּאֶ֥רֶץ H776 in the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 days יָמִ֥ים
