and told וַתַּגֵּ֥ד H5046 her father לְאָבִֽיהָ׃ H1 13 וַיְהִי֩ H1961 heard כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ H8085 And it came to pass when Laban לְלָבָ֔ן H3837 אֶת H853 the tidings שֵׁ֣מַע׀ H8088 of Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֣ב H3290 son בֶּן H1121 his sister's אֲחֹת֗וֹ H269 that he ran וַיָּ֤רָץ H7323 to meet לִקְרָאתוֹ֙ H7125 him and embraced וַיְחַבֶּק H2263 לוֹ֙ H0 him and kissed וַיְנַשֶּׁק H5401 ל֔וֹ H0 him and brought וַיְבִיאֵ֖הוּ H935 אֶל H413 him to his house בֵּית֑וֹ H1004 And he told וַיְסַפֵּ֣ר H5608 And it came to pass when Laban לְלָבָ֔ן H3837 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 all these things הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ H428 14 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 And Laban לָבָ֔ן H3837 to him Surely אַ֛ךְ H389 thou art my bone עַצְמִ֥י H6106 and my flesh וּבְשָׂרִ֖י H1320 אָ֑תָּה H859 And he abode וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב H3427 עִמּ֖וֹ H5973 of a month חֹ֥דֶשׁ H2320 with him the space יָמִֽים׃ H3117 15 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And Laban לָבָן֙ H3837 unto Jacob לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב H3290 הֲכִֽי H3588 Because thou art my brother אָחִ֣י H251 אַ֔תָּה H859 shouldest thou therefore serve וַֽעֲבַדְתַּ֖נִי H5647 me for nought חִנָּ֑ם H2600 tell הַגִּ֥ידָה H5046 לִּ֖י H0 מַה H4100 me what shall thy wages מַּשְׂכֻּרְתֶּֽךָ׃ H4909 16 And Laban וּלְלָבָ֖ן H3837 had two שְׁתֵּ֣י H8147 daughters בָנ֑וֹת H1323 and the name וְשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of the elder הַגְּדֹלָה֙ H1419 was Leah לֵאָ֔ה H3812 and the name וְשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of the younger הַקְּטַנָּ֖ה H6996 was Rachel רָחֵֽל׃ H7354 17 eyed וְעֵינֵ֥י H5869 Leah לֵאָ֖ה H3812 was tender רַכּ֑וֹת H7390 but Rachel וְרָחֵל֙ H7354 הָֽיְתָ֔ה H1961 and well וִיפַ֥ת H3303 תֹּ֖אַר H8389 and well וִיפַ֥ת H3303 favoured מַרְאֶֽה׃ H4758 18 loved וַיֶּֽאֱהַ֥ב H157 And Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֖ב H3290 אֶת H853 Rachel בְּרָחֵ֥ל H7354 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 I will serve אֶֽעֱבָדְךָ֙ H5647 thee seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 years שָׁנִ֔ים H8141 Rachel בְּרָחֵ֥ל H7354 daughter בִּתְּךָ֖ H1323 thy younger הַקְּטַנָּֽה׃ H6996 19 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Laban לָבָ֗ן H3837 It is better ט֚וֹב H2896 her to thee than that I should give מִתִּתִּ֥י H5414 אֹתָ֣הּ H853 לָ֔ךְ H0 her to thee than that I should give מִתִּתִּ֥י H5414 אֹתָ֖הּ H853 לְאִ֣ישׁ H582 her to another אַחֵ֑ר H312 abide שְׁבָ֖ה H3427 עִמָּדִֽי׃ H5978 20 served וַיַּֽעֲבֹ֧ד H5647 And Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֛ב H3290 for Rachel בְּרָחֵ֖ל H7354 seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 years שָׁנִ֑ים H8141 וַיִּֽהְי֤וּ H1961 and they seemed בְעֵינָיו֙ H5869 days כְּיָמִ֣ים H3117 unto him but a few אֲחָדִ֔ים H259 for the love he had בְּאַֽהֲבָת֖וֹ H160 אֹתָֽהּ׃ H853 21 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֤ב H3290 אֶל H413 unto Laban לָבָן֙ H3837 Give הָבָ֣ה H3051 אֶת H853 me my wife אִשְׁתִּ֔י H802 כִּ֥י H3588 are fulfilled מָֽלְא֖וּ H4390 for my days יָמָ֑י H3117 that I may go in וְאָב֖וֹאָה H935 אֵלֶֽיהָ׃ H413 22 gathered together וַיֶּֽאֱסֹ֥ף H622 And Laban לָבָ֛ן H3837 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the men אַנְשֵׁ֥י H582 of the place הַמָּק֖וֹם H4725 and made וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 a feast מִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ H4960 23 וַיְהִ֣י H1961 And it came to pass in the evening בָעֶ֔רֶב H6153 that he took וַיִּקַּח֙ H3947 אֶת H853 Leah לֵאָ֣ה H3812 his daughter בִתּ֔וֹ H1323 and brought וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 אֹתָ֖הּ H853 אֵלָ֑יו H413 and brought וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 אֵלֶֽיהָ׃ H413 24 gave וַיִּתֵּ֤ן H5414 And Laban לָבָן֙ H3837 לָ֔הּ H0 אֶת H853 Zilpah זִלְפָּ֖ה H2153 for an handmaid שִׁפְחָֽה׃ H8198 Leah לְלֵאָ֥ה H3812 unto his daughter בִתּ֖וֹ H1323 for an handmaid שִׁפְחָֽה׃ H8198 25 וַיְהִ֣י H1961 And it came to pass that in the morning בַבֹּ֔קֶר H1242 וְהִנֵּה H2009 הִ֖וא H1931 behold it was Leah לֵאָ֑ה H3812 and he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֶל H413 to Laban לָבָ֗ן H3837 מַה H4100 זֹּאת֙ H2063 What is this thou hast done עָשִׂ֣יתָ H6213 לִּ֔י H0 הֲלֹ֤א H3808 with thee for Rachel בְרָחֵל֙ H7354 unto me did not I serve עָבַ֣דְתִּי H5647 עִמָּ֔ךְ H5973 וְלָ֖מָּה H4100 wherefore then hast thou beguiled רִמִּיתָֽנִי׃ H7411 26 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Laban לָבָ֔ן H3837 לֹֽא H3808 It must not be so done יֵעָשֶׂ֥ה H6213 כֵ֖ן H3651 in our country בִּמְקוֹמֵ֑נוּ H4725 to give לָתֵ֥ת H5414 the younger הַצְּעִירָ֖ה H6810 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the firstborn הַבְּכִירָֽה׃ H1067 27 Fulfil מַלֵּ֖א H4390 week שְׁבֻ֣עַ H7620 her זֹ֗את H2063 and we will give וְנִתְּנָ֨ה H5414 לְךָ֜ H0 גַּם H1571 אֶת H853 her זֹ֗את H2063 thee this also for the service בַּֽעֲבֹדָה֙ H5656 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which thou shalt serve תַּֽעֲבֹ֣ד H5647 עִמָּדִ֔י H5978 ע֖וֹד H5750 with me yet seven שֶֽׁבַע H7651 years ל֛וֹ H0 אֶת H853 him Rachel רָחֵ֥ל H7354 his daughter בִּתּ֖וֹ H1323 ל֥וֹ H0 to wife לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ H802 29 gave וַיִּתֵּ֤ן H5414 And Laban לָבָן֙ H3837 to Rachel לְרָחֵ֣ל H7354 his daughter בִּתּ֔וֹ H1323 אֶת H853 Bilhah בִּלְהָ֖ה H1090 his handmaid לְשִׁפְחָֽה׃ H8198 לָ֖הּ H0 his handmaid לְשִׁפְחָֽה׃ H8198 30 And he went in וַיָּבֹא֙ H935 גַּ֣ם H1571 אֶל H413 also Rachel רָחֵ֖ל H7354 and he loved וַיֶּֽאֱהַ֥ב H157 גַּֽם H1571 אֶת H853 also Rachel רָחֵ֖ל H7354 more than Leah מִלֵּאָ֑ה H3812 and served וַיַּֽעֲבֹ֣ד H5647 עִמּ֔וֹ H5973 ע֖וֹד H5750 with him yet seven שֶֽׁבַע H7651 years שָׁנִ֥ים H8141 other אֲחֵרֽוֹת׃ H312 31 saw וַיַּ֤רְא H7200 And when the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 כִּֽי H3588 was hated שְׂנוּאָ֣ה H8130 that Leah לֵאָ֔ה H3812 he opened וַיִּפְתַּ֖ח H6605 אֶת H853 her womb רַחְמָ֑הּ H7358 but Rachel וְרָחֵ֖ל H7354 was barren עֲקָרָֽה׃ H6135 32 conceived וַתַּ֤הַר H2029 And Leah לֵאָה֙ H3812 and bare וַתֵּ֣לֶד H3205 a son בֵּ֔ן H1121 and she called וַתִּקְרָ֥א H7121 his name שְׁמ֖וֹ H8034 Reuben רְאוּבֵ֑ן H7205 Surely כִּ֥י H3588 she said אָֽמְרָ֗ה H559 Surely כִּ֥י H3588 hath looked רָאָ֤ה H7200 the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 upon my affliction בְּעָנְיִ֔י H6040 Surely כִּ֥י H3588 עַתָּ֖ה H6258 will love יֶֽאֱהָבַ֥נִי H157 my husband אִישִֽׁי׃ H376 33 And she conceived וַתַּ֣הַר H2029 עוֹד֮ H5750 again and bare וַתֵּ֣לֶד H3205 a son בֵּן֒ H1121 and said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 כִּֽי H3588 hath heard שָׁמַ֤ע H8085 Because the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 כִּֽי H3588 that I was hated שְׂנוּאָ֣ה H8130 אָנֹ֔כִי H595 he hath therefore given וַיִּתֶּן H5414 לִ֖י H0 גַּם H1571 אֶת H853 זֶ֑ה H2088 me this son also and she called וַתִּקְרָ֥א H7121 his name שְׁמ֖וֹ H8034 Simeon שִׁמְעֽוֹן׃ H8095 34 And she conceived again וַתַּ֣הַר H2029 עוֹד֮ H5750 and bare יָלַ֥דְתִּי H3205 a son בָנִ֑ים H1121 and said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 עַתָּ֤ה H6258 Now this time הַפַּ֙עַם֙ H6471 be joined יִלָּוֶ֤ה H3867 will my husband אִישִׁי֙ H376 אֵלַ֔י H413 כִּֽי H3588 and bare יָלַ֥דְתִּי H3205 ל֖וֹ H0
