H3290 אֶת H853 שְׁכֶ֨ם H7928 וְאֶת H853 and Hamor חֲמ֥וֹר H2544 his father אָבִ֛יו H1 deceitfully בְּמִרְמָ֖ה H4820 and said וַיְדַבֵּ֑רוּ H1696 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 because he had defiled טִמֵּ֔א H2930 אֵ֖ת H853 Dinah דִּינָ֥ה H1783 their sister אֲחֹתָֽם׃ H269 14 And they said וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ H559 אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם H413 unto them We cannot לֹ֤א H3808 נוּכַל֙ H3201 do לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙ H6213 this thing הַדָּבָ֣ר H1697 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 to give לָתֵת֙ H5414 אֶת H853 our sister אֲחֹתֵ֔נוּ H269 לְאִ֖ישׁ H582 אֲשֶׁר H834 ל֣וֹ H0 that is uncircumcised עָרְלָ֑ה H6190 כִּֽי H3588 for that were a reproach חֶרְפָּ֥ה H2781 הִ֖וא H1931 לָֽנוּ׃ H0 15 אַךְ H389 But in this בְּזֹ֖את H2063 will we consent נֵא֣וֹת H225 לָכֶ֑ם H0 אִ֚ם H518 תִּֽהְי֣וּ H1961 כָמֹ֔נוּ H3644 of you be circumcised לְהִמֹּ֥ל H4135 לָכֶ֖ם H0 כָּל H3605 unto you If ye will be as we be that every male זָכָֽר׃ H2145 16 Then will we give וְנָתַ֤נּוּ H5414 אֶת H853 our daughters בְּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֖ם H1323 לָכֶ֔ם H0 וְאֶת H853 our daughters בְּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֖ם H1323 unto you and we will take נִֽקַּֽח H3947 לָ֑נוּ H0 to us and we will dwell וְיָשַׁ֣בְנוּ H3427 אִתְּכֶ֔ם H854 וְהָיִ֖ינוּ H1961 people לְעַ֥ם H5971 with you and we will become one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 17 וְאִם H518 לֹ֧א H3808 But if ye will not hearken תִשְׁמְע֛וּ H8085 אֵלֵ֖ינוּ H413 unto us to be circumcised לְהִמּ֑וֹל H4135 then will we take וְלָקַ֥חְנוּ H3947 אֶת H853 our daughter בִּתֵּ֖נוּ H1323 Hamor חֲמ֛וֹר H2544 וּשְׁכֶ֥ם H7928 his son בְּנ֖וֹ H1121 אֶל H413 unto the gate שַׁ֣עַר H8179 of their city עִירָ֖ם H5892 and communed וַֽיְדַבְּר֛וּ H1696 אֶל H413 with the men אַנְשֵׁ֥י H582 of their city עִירָ֖ם H5892 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 21 הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֨ים H376 הָאֵ֜לֶּה H428 are peaceable שְֽׁלֵמִ֧ים H8003 הֵ֣ם H1992 with אִתָּ֗נוּ H854 us therefore let them dwell וְיֵֽשְׁב֤וּ H3427 in the H389 Only herein בְּ֠זֹאת H2063 consent יֵאֹ֨תוּ H225 לָ֤נוּ H0 הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ H376 unto us for to dwell לָשֶׁ֣בֶת H3427 אִתָּ֔נוּ H854 לִֽהְי֖וֹת H1961 people לְעַ֣ם H5971 with us to be one אֶחָ֑ד H259 among us be circumcised נִמֹּלִֽים׃ H4135 לָ֙נוּ֙ H0 כָּל H3605 if every male זָכָ֔ר H2145 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 הֵ֥ם H1992 among us be circumcised נִמֹּלִֽים׃ H4135 23 Shall not their cattle מִקְנֵהֶ֤ם H4735 and their substance וְקִנְיָנָם֙ H7075 וְכָל H3605 and every beast בְּהֶמְתָּ֔ם H929 הֲל֥וֹא H3808 לָ֖נוּ H0 הֵ֑ם H1992 אַ֚ךְ H389 of theirs be ours only let us consent נֵא֣וֹתָה H225 H3605 all that went out יֹֽצְאֵ֖י H3318 of the gate שַׁ֥עַר H8179 of his city עִירֽוֹ׃ H5892 was circumcised וַיִּמֹּ֙לוּ֙ H4135 כָּל H3605 and every male זָכָ֔ר H2145 כָּל H3605 all that went out כֹּֽאֲבִ֗ים H3510 took וַיִּקְח֣וּ H3947 that two שְׁנֵֽי H8147 of the sons בְנֵי H1121 of Jacob יַ֠עֲקֹב H3290 Simeon שִׁמְע֨וֹן H8095 and Levi וְלֵוִ֜י H3878 brethren אֲחֵ֤י H251 Dinah's דִינָה֙ H1783 each man אִ֣ישׁ H376 his sword חַרְבּ֔וֹ H2719 and came וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ H935 עַל H5921 upon the city הָעִ֖יר H5892 boldly בֶּ֑טַח H983 and slew וַיַּֽהַרְג֖וּ H2026 כָּל H3605 all the males זָכָֽר׃ H2145 26 וְאֶת H853 Hamor חֲמוֹר֙ H2544 וְאֶת H853 שְׁכֶ֣ם H7928 his son בְּנ֔וֹ H1121 And they slew הָֽרְג֖וּ H2026 with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חָ֑רֶב H2719 and took וַיִּקְח֧וּ H3947 אֶת H853 Dinah דִּינָ֛ה H1783 house מִבֵּ֥ית H1004 שְׁכֶ֖ם H7928 and went out וַיֵּצֵֽאוּ׃ H3318 27 The sons בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֗ב H3290 came בָּ֚אוּ H935 עַל H5921 upon the slain הַ֣חֲלָלִ֔ים H2491 and spoiled וַיָּבֹ֖זּוּ H962 the city הָעִ֑יר H5892 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 because they had defiled טִמְּא֖וּ H2930 their sister אֲחוֹתָֽם׃ H269 28 אֶת H853 their sheep צֹאנָ֥ם H6629 וְאֶת H853 and their oxen בְּקָרָ֖ם H1241 וְאֶת H853 and their asses חֲמֹרֵיהֶּ֑ם H2543 וְאֵ֧ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 and that which was in the city בָּעִ֛יר H5892 וְאֶת H853 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 and that which was in the field בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה H7704 They took לָקָֽחוּ׃ H3947 29 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 And all their wealth חֵילָ֤ם H2428 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and all their little ones טַפָּם֙ H2945 וְאֶת H853 and their wives נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם H802 took they captive שָׁב֖וּ H7617 and spoiled וַיָּבֹ֑זּוּ H962 וְאֵ֖ת H853 כָּל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 even all that was in the house בַּבָּֽיִת׃ H1004 30 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Jacob יַֽעֲקֹ֜ב H3290 אֶל H413 to Simeon שִׁמְע֣וֹן H8095 וְאֶל H413 and Levi לֵוִי֮ H3878 Ye have troubled עֲכַרְתֶּ֣ם H5916 אֹתִי֒ H853 me to make me to stink לְהַבְאִישֵׁ֙נִי֙ H887 among the inhabitants
