unto Joseph יוֹסֵ֗ף H3130 הֲל֤וֹא H3808 Do not thy brethren אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ H251 feed רֹעִ֣ים H7462 the flock in Shechem בִּשְׁכֶ֔ם H7927 לְכָ֖ה H1980 and I will send thee וְאֶשְׁלָֽחֲךָ֣ H7971 אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם H413 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 ל֖וֹ H0 הִנֵּֽנִי׃ H2009 14 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 ל֗וֹ H0 לֶךְ H1980 נָ֨א H4994 I pray thee see רְאֵ֜ה H7200 אֶת H853 and well שְׁל֣וֹם H7965 with thy brethren אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ H251 וְאֶת H853 and well שְׁל֣וֹם H7965 with the flocks הַצֹּ֔אן H6629 again וַֽהֲשִׁבֵ֖נִי H7725 me word דָּבָ֑ר H1697 So he sent וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֙הוּ֙ H7971 him out of the vale מֵעֵ֣מֶק H6010 of Hebron חֶבְר֔וֹן H2275 and he came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 to Shechem שְׁכֶֽמָה׃ H7927 15 found him וַיִּמְצָאֵ֣הוּ H4672 אִ֔ישׁ H582 וְהִנֵּ֥ה H2009 and behold he was wandering תֹעֶ֖ה H8582 in the field בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה H7704 asked him וַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֧הוּ H7592 הָאִ֛ישׁ H582 saying לֵאמֹ֖ר H559 מַה H4100 What seekest תְּבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ H1245 16 And he said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 אֶת H853 my brethren אַחַ֖י H251 אָֽנֹכִ֣י H595 I seek מְבַקֵּ֑שׁ H1245 tell הַגִּֽידָה H5046 נָּ֣א H4994 לִ֔י H0 me I pray thee where אֵיפֹ֖ה H375 הֵ֥ם H1992 they feed רֹעִֽים׃ H7462 17 said אֹֽמְרִ֔ים H559 And the man הָאִישׁ֙ H376 They are departed נָֽסְע֣וּ H5265 hence מִזֶּ֔ה H2088 כִּ֤י H3588 for I heard שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ H8085 said אֹֽמְרִ֔ים H559 נֵֽלְכָ֖ה H1980 them in Dothan בְּדֹתָֽן׃ H1886 וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ H1980 And Joseph יוֹסֵף֙ H3130 after אַחַ֣ר H310 his brethren אֶחָ֔יו H251 and found וַיִּמְצָאֵ֖ם H4672 them in Dothan בְּדֹתָֽן׃ H1886 18 And when they saw וַיִּרְא֥וּ H7200 אֹת֖וֹ H853 him afar off מֵֽרָחֹ֑ק H7350 וּבְטֶ֙רֶם֙ H2962 even before he came near יִקְרַ֣ב H7126 אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם H413 unto them they conspired וַיִּֽתְנַכְּל֥וּ H5230 אֹת֖וֹ H853 against him to slay לַֽהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ H4191 19 And they said וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ H559 one אִ֣ישׁ H376 אֶל H413 to another אָחִ֑יו H251 הִנֵּ֗ה H2009 dreamer בַּ֛עַל H1167 הַֽחֲלֹמ֥וֹת H2472 Behold this הַלָּזֶ֖ה H1976 cometh בָּֽא׃ H935 20 וְעַתָּ֣ה׀ H6258 לְכ֣וּ H1980 now therefore and let us slay וְנַֽהַרְגֵ֗הוּ H2026 him and cast וְנַשְׁלִכֵ֙הוּ֙ H7993 him into some בְּאַחַ֣ד H259 pit הַבֹּר֔וֹת H953 and we will say וְאָמַ֕רְנוּ H559 beast חַיָּ֥ה H2416 Some evil רָעָ֖ה H7451 hath devoured אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ H398 him and we shall see וְנִרְאֶ֕ה H7200 מַה H4100 יִּֽהְי֖וּ H1961 what will become of his dreams חֲלֹֽמֹתָֽיו׃ H2472 21 heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע H8085 And Reuben רְאוּבֵ֔ן H7205 it and he delivered וַיַּצִּלֵ֖הוּ H5337 him out of their hands מִיָּדָ֑ם H3027 and said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 לֹ֥א H3808 Let us not kill נַכֶּ֖נּוּ H5221 נָֽפֶשׁ׃ H5315 22 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֲלֵהֶ֣ם׀ H413 And Reuben רְאוּבֵן֮ H7205 אַל H3808 unto them Shed תִּשְׁפְּכוּ H8210 no blood דָם֒ H1818 but cast הַשְׁלִ֣יכוּ H7993 אֹת֗וֹ H853 אֶל H413 him into this pit הַבּ֤וֹר H953 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that is in the wilderness בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר H4057 him out of their hands מִיָּדָ֔ם H3027 אַל H3808 and lay תִּשְׁלְחוּ H7971 ב֑וֹ H0 לְמַ֗עַן H4616 upon him that he might rid הַצִּ֤יל H5337 אֹתוֹ֙ H853 him out of their hands מִיָּדָ֔ם H3027 again לַֽהֲשִׁיב֖וֹ H7725 אֶל H413 him to his father אָבִֽיו׃ H1 23 וַיְהִ֕י H1961 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר H834 was come בָּ֥א H935 And it came to pass when Joseph יוֹסֵף֙ H3130 אֶל H413 unto his brethren אֶחָ֑יו H251 that they stript וַיַּפְשִׁ֤יטוּ H6584 אֶת H853 And it came to pass when Joseph יוֹסֵף֙ H3130 אֶת H853 his coat כְּתֹ֥נֶת H3801 אֶת H853 and the pit וְהַבּ֣וֹר H953 was empty רֵ֔ק H7386 אֵ֥ין H369 בּ֖וֹ H0 there was no water מָֽיִם׃ H4325 25 And they sat down וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ֮ H3427 to eat לֶֽאֱכָל H398 bread לֶחֶם֒ H3899 and they lifted up נֹֽשְׂאִ֗ים H5375 their eyes עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙ H5869 and looked וַיִּרְא֔וּ H7200 וְהִנֵּה֙ H2009 and behold a company אֹֽרְחַ֣ת H736 of Ishmeelites יִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֔ים H3459 came בָּאָ֖ה H935 from Gilead מִגִּלְעָ֑ד H1568 with their camels וּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֣ם H1581 and they lifted up נֹֽשְׂאִ֗ים H5375 spicery נְכֹאת֙ H5219 and balm וּצְרִ֣י H6875 and myrrh וָלֹ֔ט H3910 going הֽוֹלְכִ֖ים H1980 to carry it down לְהוֹרִ֥יד H3381 to Egypt מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ H4714 26 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 And Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 אֶל H413 our brother אָחִ֔ינוּ H251 מַה H4100 What profit בֶּ֗צַע H1215 כִּ֤י H3588 is it if we slay נַֽהֲרֹג֙ H2026 אֶת H853 our brother אָחִ֔ינוּ H251 and conceal וְכִסִּ֖ינוּ H3680 אֶת H853 his blood דָּמֽוֹ׃ H1818 27 לְכ֞וּ H1980 and let us sell וְנִמְכְּרֶ֣נּוּ H4376 him to the Ishmeelites לַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֗ים H3459 and let not our hand וְיָדֵ֙נוּ֙ H3027 אַל H408 תְּהִי H1961 ב֔וֹ H0 כִּֽי H3588 And his brethren אֶחָֽיו׃ H251 and our flesh בְשָׂרֵ֖נוּ H1320 ה֑וּא H1931 were content וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֖וּ H8085 And his brethren אֶחָֽיו׃ H251 28 Then there passed וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ֩ H5674 אֲנָשִׁ֨ים H376 by Midianites מִדְיָנִ֜ים H4084 סֹֽחֲרִ֗ים H5503 and they drew וַֽיִּמְשְׁכוּ֙ H4900 and lifted up וַיַּֽעֲל֤וּ H5927 אֶת H853 Joseph יוֹסֵ֖ף H3130 מִן H4480 out of the pit הַבּ֔וֹר H953 and sold וַיִּמְכְּר֧וּ H4376 אֶת H853 Joseph יוֹסֵ֖ף H3130 to the Ishmeelites לַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֖ים H3459 for twenty בְּעֶשְׂרִ֣ים H6242 pieces of silver כָּ֑סֶף H3701 and they brought וַיָּבִ֥יאוּ H935 אֶת H853 Joseph יוֹסֵ֖ף H3130 into Egypt מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ H4714 29 returned וַיָּ֤שָׁב H7725 And Reuben רְאוּבֵן֙ H7205 אֶל H413 unto the pit בַּבּ֑וֹר H953 וְהִנֵּ֥ה H2009 אֵין H369 and behold Joseph יוֹסֵ֖ף H3130 unto the pit בַּבּ֑וֹר H953 and he rent וַיִּקְרַ֖ע H7167 אֶת H853 his clothes בְּגָדָֽיו׃ H899 30 And he returned וַיָּ֥שָׁב H7725 אֶל H413 unto his brethren אֶחָ֖יו H251 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 The child הַיֶּ֣לֶד H3206 אֵינֶ֔נּוּ H369 וַֽאֲנִ֖י H589 is not and I whither אָ֥נָה H575 אֲנִי H589 shall I go בָֽא׃ H935 31 And they took וַיִּקְח֖וּ H3947 אֶת H853 coat הַכֻּתֹּ֖נֶת H3801 Joseph's יוֹסֵ֑ף H3130 and killed וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ֙ H7819 a kid שְׂעִ֣יר H8163 of the goats עִזִּ֔ים H5795 and dipped וַיִּטְבְּל֥וּ H2881 אֶת H853 coat הַכֻּתֹּ֖נֶת H3801 in the blood בַּדָּֽם׃ H1818 32 And they sent וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֞וּ H7971 אֶת H853 coat הַכְּתֹ֧נֶת H3801 of many colours הַפַּסִּ֗ים H6446 and they brought וַיָּבִ֙יאוּ֙ H935 אֶל H413 it to their father אֲבִיהֶ֔ם H1 and said וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ H559 זֹ֣את H2063 This have we found מָצָ֑אנוּ H4672 know הַכֶּר H5234 נָ֗א H4994 coat הַכְּתֹ֧נֶת H3801 now whether it be thy son's בִּנְךָ֛ H1121 הִ֖וא H1931 אִם H518 לֹֽא׃ H3808 33 And he knew it וַיַּכִּירָ֤הּ H5234 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 coat כְּתֹ֣נֶת H3801 It is my son's בְּנִ֔י H1121 beast חַיָּ֥ה H2416 an evil רָעָ֖ה H7451 hath devoured אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ H398 is without doubt טֹרַ֖ף H2963 is without doubt טֹרַ֖ף H2963 him Joseph יוֹסֵֽף׃ H3130 34 rent וַיִּקְרַ֤ע
