they were sad זֹֽעֲפִֽים׃ H2196 7 And he asked וַיִּשְׁאַ֞ל H7592 אֶת H853 officers סְרִיסֵ֣י H5631 Pharaoh's פַרְעֹ֗ה H6547 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 אִתּ֧וֹ H854 that were with him in the ward בְמִשְׁמַ֛ר H4929 house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of his lord's אֲדֹנָ֖יו H113 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 מַדּ֛וּעַ H4069 Wherefore look פְּנֵיכֶ֥ם H6440 ye so sadly רָעִ֖ים H7451 to day הַיּֽוֹם׃ H3117 8 And they said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֵלָ֔יו H413 a dream חֲל֣וֹם H2472 unto him We have dreamed חָלַ֔מְנוּ H2492 and there is no interpreter וּפֹתֵ֖ר H6622 אֵ֣ין H369 אֹת֑וֹ H853 And they said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֲלֵהֶ֜ם H413 of it And שַֽׂר H8269 הַמַּשְׁקִ֛ים H4945 אֶת H853 his dream בַּֽחֲלוֹמִ֕י H2472 to Joseph לְיוֹסֵ֑ף H3130 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 ל֔וֹ H0 his dream בַּֽחֲלוֹמִ֕י H2472 וְהִנֵּה H2009 behold a vine גֶ֖פֶן H1612 was before me לְפָנָֽי׃ H6440 10 And in the vine וּבַגֶּ֖פֶן H1612 were three שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה H7969 branches שָֽׂרִיגִ֑ם H8299 וְהִ֤וא H1931 and it was as though it budded כְפֹרַ֙חַת֙ H6524 shot forth עָֽלְתָ֣ה H5927 and her blossoms נִצָּ֔הּ H5322 thereof brought forth ripe הִבְשִׁ֥ילוּ H1310 and the clusters אַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ H811 grapes עֲנָבִֽים׃ H6025 11 cup הַכּ֖וֹס H3563 And Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹֽה׃ H6547 was in my hand בְּיָדִ֑י H3027 and I took וָֽאֶקַּ֣ח H3947 אֶת H853 the grapes הָֽעֲנָבִ֗ים H6025 and pressed וָֽאֶשְׂחַ֤ט H7818 אֹתָם֙ H853 אֶל H413 cup הַכּ֖וֹס H3563 And Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹֽה׃ H6547 and I gave וָֽאֶתֵּ֥ן H5414 אֶת H853 cup הַכּ֖וֹס H3563 עַל H5921 hand כַּ֥ף H3709 And Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹֽה׃ H6547 12 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 And Joseph יוֹסֵ֔ף H3130 זֶ֖ה H2088 unto him This is the interpretation פִּתְרֹנ֑וֹ H6623 are three שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת H7969 branches הַשָּׂ֣רִגִ֔ים H8299 are three שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֖ים H3117 הֵֽם׃ H1992 13 Yet בְּע֣וֹד׀ H5750 within three שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֗ים H3117 lift up יִשָּׂ֤א H5375 Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹה֙ H6547 אֶת H853 thine head רֹאשֶׁ֔ךָ H7218 and restore וַהֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֖ H7725 עַל H5921 thee unto thy place כַּנֶּ֑ךָ head רֹאשִֽׁי׃ H7218 17 basket הַסַּ֖ל H5536 And in the uppermost הָֽעֶלְי֗וֹן H5945 מִכֹּ֛ל H3605 there was of all manner מַֽאֲכַ֥ל H3978 for Pharaoh פַּרְעֹ֖ה H6547 of bakemeats מַֽעֲשֵׂ֣ה H4639 אֹפֶ֑ה H644 and the birds וְהָע֗וֹף H5775 did eat אֹכֵ֥ל H398 אֹתָ֛ם H853 מִן H4480 basket הַסַּ֖ל H5536 upon מֵעַ֥ל H5921 my head רֹאשִֽׁי׃ H7218 18 answered וַיַּ֤עַן H6030 And Joseph יוֹסֵף֙ H3130 and said וַיֹּ֔אמֶר H559 זֶ֖ה H2088 This is the interpretation פִּתְרֹנ֑וֹ H6623 are three שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת H7969 baskets הַסַּלִּ֔ים H5536 are three שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֖ים H3117 הֵֽם׃ H1992 19 בְּע֣וֹד׀ H5750 Yet within three שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֗ים H3117 lift up יִשָּׂ֨א H5375 shall Pharaoh פַרְעֹ֤ה H6547 אֶת H853 thy head רֹֽאשְׁךָ֙ H7218 מֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָ H5921 from off thee and shall hang וְתָלָ֥ה H8518 אֽוֹתְךָ֖ H853 עַל H5921 thee on a tree עֵ֑ץ H6086 shall eat וְאָכַ֥ל H398 and the birds הָע֛וֹף H5775 אֶת H853 thy flesh בְּשָֽׂרְךָ֖ H1320 מֵֽעָלֶֽיךָ׃ H5921 20 וַיְהִ֣י׀ H1961 birthday י֚וֹם H3117 And it came to pass the third הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗י H7992 birthday י֚וֹם H3117 הֻלֶּ֣דֶת H3205 אֶת H853 which was Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹ֔ה H6547 that he made וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 a feast מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה H4960 לְכָל H3605 his servants עֲבָדָֽיו׃ H5650 and he lifted up וַיִּשָּׂ֞א H5375 אֶת H853 the head רֹ֛אשׁ H7218 and of the chief שַׂ֥ר H8269 הַמַּשְׁקִ֗ים H4945 וְאֶת H853 the head רֹ֛אשׁ H7218 and of the chief שַׂ֥ר H8269 baker הָֽאֹפִ֖ים H644 among בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 his servants עֲבָדָֽיו׃ H5650 21 And he restored וַיָּ֛שֶׁב H7725 אֶת H853 the chief שַׂ֥ר H8269 unto his butlership מַשְׁקֵ֑הוּ H4945 עַל H5921 unto his butlership מַשְׁקֵ֑הוּ H4945 and he gave וַיִּתֵּ֥ן H5414 the cup הַכּ֖וֹס H3563 עַל H5921 hand כַּ֥ף H3709 into Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹֽה׃ H6547 22 וְאֵ֛ת H853 the chief שַׂ֥ר H8269 baker הָֽאֹפִ֖ים H644 But he hanged תָּלָ֑ה H8518 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 had interpreted פָּתַ֛ר H6622 לָהֶ֖ם H0 as Joseph יוֹסֵֽף׃ H3130 23 וְלֹֽא H3808 remember זָכַ֧ר H2142 Yet did not
