אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ H559 אַךְ H389 words דְּבַר H1697 sayest thou (but they are but vain שְׂפָתַ֔יִם H8193 I have counsel עֵצָ֥ה H6098 and strength וּגְבוּרָ֖ה H1369 for war לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה H4421 עַתָּה֙ H6258 עַל H5921 מִ֣י H4310 now on whom dost thou trust בָטַ֔חְתָּ H982 כִּ֥י H3588 that thou rebellest מָרַ֖דְתָּ H4775 בִּֽי׃ H0 6 הִנֵּ֣ה H2009 Lo thou trustest הַבֹּטְחִ֖ים H982 עַל H5921 in the staff מִשְׁעֶנֶת֩ H4938 reed הַקָּנֶ֨ה H7070 of this broken הָרָצ֤וּץ H7533 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 עַל H5921 of Egypt מִצְרַ֔יִם H4714 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 lean יִסָּמֵ֥ךְ H5564 whereon if a man אִישׁ֙ H376 עָלָ֔יו H5921 it thou say וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 to Judah לִֽיהוּדָה֙ H3063 and to Jerusalem וְלִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 before לִפְנֵ֛י H6440 and whose altars הַמִּזְבֵּ֥חַ H4196 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 Ye shall worship תִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃ H7812 8 וְעַתָּה֙ H6258 Now therefore give pledges הִתְעָ֣רֶב H6148 נָ֔א H4994 אֶת H854 I pray thee to my master אֲדֹנִ֖י H113 the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּׁ֑וּר H804 and I will give לָ֥תֶת H5414 לְךָ֙ H0 thee two thousand אַלְפַּ֣יִם H505 horses סוּסִ֔ים H5483 אִם H518 if thou be able תּוּכַ֕ל H3201 and I will give לָ֥תֶת H5414 לְךָ֖ H0 riders רֹכְבִ֥ים H7392 עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H5921 9 וְאֵ֣יךְ H349 How then wilt thou turn away תָּשִׁ֗יב H7725 אֵ֠ת H853 the face פְּנֵ֨י H6440 captain פַחַ֥ת H6346 of one אַחַ֛ד H259 servants עַבְדֵ֥י H5650 of my master's אֲדֹנִ֖י H113 of the least הַקְטַנִּ֑ים H6996 and put thy trust וַתִּבְטַ֤ח H982 לְךָ֙ H0 עַל H5921 on Egypt מִצְרַ֔יִם H4714 for chariots לְרֶ֖כֶב H7393 and for horsemen וּלְפָרָשִֽׁים׃ H6571 10 וְעַתָּה֙ H6258 without הֲמִבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י H1107 it the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 And am I now come up עֲלֵ֛ה H5927 עַל H5921 against this land הָאָ֥רֶץ H776 הַזֹּ֖את H2063 and destroy וְהַשְׁחִיתָֽהּ׃ H7843 it the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 said אָמַ֣ר H559 אֵלַ֔י H413 And am I now come up עֲלֵ֛ה H5927 אֶל H413 against this land הָאָ֥רֶץ H776 הַזֹּ֖את H2063 and destroy וְהַשְׁחִיתָֽהּ׃ H7843 11 Then said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Eliakim אֶלְיָקִים֩ H471 and Shebna וְשֶׁבְנָ֨א H7644 and Joah וְיוֹאָ֜ח H3098 אֶל H413 unto Rabshakeh רַבְשָׁקֵ֗ה H7262 Speak תְּדַבֵּ֤ר H1696 נָ֤א H4994 אֶל H413 I pray thee unto thy servants עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 in the Syrian language אֲרָמִ֔ית H762 כִּ֥י H3588 for we understand שֹׁמְעִ֖ים H8085 אֲנָ֑חְנוּ H587 וְאַל H408 Speak תְּדַבֵּ֤ר H1696 אֵלֵ֙ינוּ֙ H413 not to us in the Jews' language יְהוּדִ֔ית H5921 הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים H376 that sit הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙ H3427 עַל H5921 upon the wall הַ֣חוֹמָ֔ה H2346 that they may eat לֶאֱכֹ֣ל H398 אֶת H853 their own dung חַרְאֵיהֶם H2716 and drink וְלִשְׁתּ֛וֹת H8354 language יְהוּדִ֑ית H3066 and said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 Hear שִׁמְע֗וּ H8085 אֶת H853 ye the words דִּבְרֵ֛י H1697 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of the great הַגָּד֖וֹל H1419 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּֽׁוּר׃ H804 14 כֹּ֚ה H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אַל H408 deceive יַשִּׁ֥א H5377 לָכֶ֖ם H0 Let not Hezekiah חִזְקִיָּ֑הוּ H2396 כִּ֥י H3588 לֹֽא H3808 you for he shall not be able יוּכַ֖ל H3201 to deliver לְהַצִּ֥יל H5337 אֶתְכֶֽם׃ H853 15 וְאַל H408 make you trust יַבְטַ֨ח H982 אֶתְכֶ֤ם H853 Neither let Hezekiah חִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ H2396 אֶל H413 The LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 deliver יַצִּילֵ֖נוּ H5337 deliver יַצִּילֵ֖נוּ H5337 The LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 לֹ֤א H3808 shall not be delivered תִנָּתֵן֙ H5414 us this city הָעִ֣יר H5892 הַזֹּ֔את H2063 into the hand H559 the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּׁ֗וּר H804 Make עֲשֽׂוּ H6213 אִתִּ֤י H854 an agreement with me by a present בְרָכָה֙ H1293 and come out וּצְא֣וּ H3318 אֵלַ֔י H413 to me and eat וְאִכְל֤וּ H398 and every one אִ֥ישׁ H376 of his vine גַּפְנוֹ֙ H1612 and every one אִ֥ישׁ H376 of his fig tree תְּאֵנָת֔וֹ H8384 and drink וּשְׁת֖וּ H8354 and every one אִ֥ישׁ H376 the waters מֵי
