to Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 מֵאֵ֥ת H853 from the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 2 Arise ק֥וּם H6965 and go down וְיָרַדְתָּ֖ H3381 house בֵּ֣ית H1004 to the potter's הַיּוֹצֵ֑ר H3335 וְשָׁ֖מָּה H8033 and there I will cause thee to hear אַשְׁמִֽיעֲךָ֥ H8085 אֶת H853 my words דְּבָרָֽי׃ H1697 3 Then I went down וָאֵרֵ֖ד H3381 house בֵּ֣ית H1004 to the potter's הַיּוֹצֵ֑ר H3335 and so he made לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ H6213 of clay בַּחֹ֖מֶר H2563 in the hand בְּיַ֣ד H3027 of the potter הַיּוֹצֵ֖ר H3335 it again וְשָׁ֗ב H7725 so he made לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ H6213 And the vessel כְּלִ֣י H3627 another אַחֵ֔ר H312 כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 good יָשַׁ֛ר H3474 as seemed בְּעֵינֵ֥י H5869 of the potter הַיּוֹצֵ֖ר H3335 so he made לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ H6213 5 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 Then the word דְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה kingdom מַמְלָכָ֑ה H4467 to pluck up לִנְת֥וֹשׁ H5428 and to pull down וְלִנְת֖וֹץ H5422 and to destroy וּֽלְהַאֲבִֽיד׃ H6 8 turn וְשָׁב֙ H7725 If that nation הַגּ֣וֹי H1471 הַה֔וּא H1931 from their evil הָ֣רָעָ֔ה H7451 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 against whom I have pronounced דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי H1696 עָלָ֑יו H5921 I will repent וְנִֽחַמְתִּי֙ H5162 עַל H5921 from their evil הָ֣רָעָ֔ה H7451 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that I thought חָשַׁ֖בְתִּי H2803 to do לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת H6213 לֽוֹ׃ H0 9 And at what instant וְרֶ֣גַע H7281 I shall speak אֲדַבֵּ֔ר H1696 עַל H5921 concerning a nation גּ֖וֹי H1471 וְעַל H5921 and concerning a kingdom מַמְלָכָ֑ה H4467 to build לִבְנ֖וֹת H1129 and to plant וְלִנְטֽוֹעַ׃ H5193 10 If it do וְעָשָׂ֤ה H6213 evil הָרַע֙ה H7451 in my sight בְּעֵינַ֔י H5869 לְבִלְתִּ֖י H1115 that it obey שְׁמֹ֣עַ H8085 not my voice בְּקוֹלִ֑י H6963 then I will repent וְנִֽחַמְתִּי֙ H5162 עַל H5921 of the good הַטּוֹבָ֔ה H2896 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 wherewith I said אָמַ֖רְתִּי H559 I would benefit לְהֵיטִ֥יב H3190 אוֹתֽוֹ׃ H853 11 וְעַתָּ֡ה H6258 Now therefore go to speak אָמַ֣ר H559 נָ֣א H4994 אֶל H413 to the men אִ֚ישׁ H376 of Judah יְהוּדָה֩ H3063 וְעַל H5921 and to the inhabitants יוֹשְׁבֵ֨י H3427 of your ways דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם H1870 evil הָֽרָעָ֔ה H7451 good וְהֵיטִ֥יבוּ H3190 and make your ways דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם H1870 and your doings וּמַעַלְלֵיכֶֽם׃ H4611 12 And they said וְאָמְר֖וּ H559 There is no hope evil הָרָ֖ע H7451 do נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ H6213 13 לָכֵ֗ן H3651 כֹּ֚ה H3541 Therefore thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 Ask שַֽׁאֲלוּ H7592 נָא֙ H4994 ye now among the heathen בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם H1471 מִ֥י H4310 who hath heard שָׁמַ֖ע H8085 כָּאֵ֑לֶּה H428 horrible thing שַֽׁעֲרֻרִת֙ H8186 hath done עָשְׂתָ֣ה H6213 a very מְאֹ֔ד H3966 such things the virgin בְּתוּלַ֖ת H1330 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 14 Will a man leave הֲיַעֲזֹ֥ב H5800 which cometh from the rock מִצּ֛וּר H6697 of the field שָׂדַ֖י H7704 the snow שֶׁ֣לֶג H7950 of Lebanon לְבָנ֑וֹן H3844 אִם H518 be forsaken יִנָּתְשׁ֗וּ H5428 waters מַ֛יִם H4325 that come from another place זָרִ֥ים H2114 or shall the cold קָרִ֖ים H7119 flowing נוֹזְלִֽים׃ H5140 15 כִּֽי H3588 hath forgotten שְׁכֵחֻ֥נִי H7911 Because my people עַמִּ֖י H5971 to vanity לַשָּׁ֣וְא H7723 me they have burned incense יְקַטֵּ֑רוּ H6999 and they have caused them to stumble וַיַּכְשִׁל֤וּם H3782 in a way דֶּ֖רֶךְ H1870 paths שְׁבִילֵ֣י H7635 from the ancient עוֹלָ֔ם H5769 לָלֶ֣כֶת H1980 in paths נְתִיב֔וֹת H5410 in a way דֶּ֖רֶךְ H1870 לֹ֥א H3808 not cast up סְלוּלָֽה׃ H5549 16 To make לָשׂ֥וּם H7760 their land אַרְצָ֛ם H776 desolate לְשַׁמָּ֖ה H8047 hissing שְׁרִוקֹ֣ת H8292 and a perpetual עוֹלָ֑ם H5769 כֹּ֚ל H3605 every one that passeth עוֹבֵ֣ר H5674 עָלֶ֔יהָ H5921 thereby shall be astonished יִשֹּׁ֖ם H8074 and wag וְיָנִ֥יד H5110 his head בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ H7218 17 wind כְּרֽוּחַ H7307 them as with an east קָדִ֥ים H6921 I will scatter אֲפִיצֵ֖ם H6327 and not the face פָנִ֛ים H6440 the enemy אוֹיֵ֑ב H341 them the back עֹ֧רֶף H6203 וְלֹֽא H3808 and not the face פָנִ֛ים H6440 I will shew אֶרְאֵ֖ם H7200 in the day בְּי֥וֹם H3117 of their calamity אֵידָֽם׃ H343 18 Then said וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ H559 לְכ֨וּ H1980 and let us devise וְנַחְשְׁבָ֣ה H2803 עַֽל H5921 against Jeremiah יִרְמְיָהוּ֮ H3414 devices מַחֲשָׁבוֹת֒ H4284 כִּי֩ H3588 לֹא H3808 shall not perish תֹאבַ֨ד H6 for the law תּוֹרָ֜ה H8451 from the priest מִכֹּהֵ֗ן H3548 nor counsel וְעֵצָה֙ H6098 from the wise מֵֽחָכָ֔ם H2450 nor the word דְּבָרָֽיו׃ H1697 from the prophet מִנָּבִ֑יא H5030 לְכוּ֙ H1980 and let us smite וְנַכֵּ֣הוּ H5221 him with the tongue בַלָּשׁ֔וֹן H3956 וְאַל H408 and let us not give heed נַקְשִׁ֖יבָה H7181 אֶל H413 כָּל H3605 nor the word דְּבָרָֽיו׃ H1697 19 Give heed הַקְשִׁ֥יבָה H7181 to me O LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֵלָ֑י H413 and hearken וּשְׁמַ֖ע H8085 to the voice לְק֥וֹל H6963 of them that contend יְרִיבָֽי׃ H3401 20 be recompensed הַיְשֻׁלַּ֤ם H7999 תַּֽחַת H8478 for good טוֹבָ֔ה H2896 Shall evil רָעָ֔ה H7451 כִּֽי H3588 for they have digged כָר֥וּ H3738 a pit שׁוּחָ֖ה H7745 for my soul לְנַפְשִׁ֑י H5315 Remember זְכֹ֣ר׀ H2142 that I stood עָמְדִ֣י H5975 before לְפָנֶ֗יךָ H6440 thee to speak לְדַבֵּ֤ר H1696 עֲלֵיהֶם֙ H5921 for good טוֹבָ֔ה H2896 for them and to turn away לְהָשִׁ֥יב H7725 אֶת H853 thy wrath חֲמָתְךָ֖ H2534 מֵהֶֽם׃ H1992 21 לָכֵן֩ H3651 Therefore deliver up תֵּ֨ן H5414 אֶת H853 their children בְּנֵיהֶ֜ם H1121 to the famine לָרָעָ֗ב H7458 and pour out וְהַגִּרֵם֮ H5064 עַל H5921 their blood by the force יְדֵי H3027 by the sword חֶ֖רֶב H2719 וְתִֽהְיֶ֨נָה H1961 and let their wives נְשֵׁיהֶ֤ם H802 be bereaved שַׁכֻּלוֹת֙ H7909 of their children and be widows וְאַלְמָנ֔וֹת H490 וְאַ֨נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם H376 יִֽהְי֖וּ H1961 be put הֲרֻ֣גֵי H2026 to death מָ֑וֶת H4194 let their young men בַּח֣וּרֵיהֶ֔ם H970 be slain תָבִ֧יא H935 עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם H5921 a troop גְּד֖וּד H1416 suddenly פִּתְאֹ֑ם H6597 כִּֽי H3588 upon them for they have digged כָר֤וּ H3738 a pit שׁיּחָה֙ H7745 to take לְלָכְדֵ֔נִי H3920 snares וּפַחִ֖ים H6341 me and hid טָמְנ֥וּ H2934 for my feet לְרַגְלָֽי׃ H7272 23 וְאַתָּ֣ה H859 Yet LORD יְ֠הוָה H3068 thou knowest יָדַ֜עְתָּ H3045 אֶֽת H853 כָּל H3605 all their counsel עֲצָתָ֤ם H6098 עָלַי֙ H5921 against me to slay לַמָּ֔וֶת H4194 אַל H408 me forgive תְּכַפֵּר֙ H3722 עַל H5921 not their iniquity עֲוֹנָ֔ם H5771 their sin וְחַטָּאתָ֖ם H2403 before לְפָנֶ֔יךָ H6440 אַל H408 neither blot out
