הַהִ֗יא H1931 in the beginning בְּרֵאשִׁית֙ H7225 of the reign מַמְלֶ֙כֶת֙ H4467 of Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֣ה H6667 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 And it came to pass the same year בַּשָּׁנָת֙ H8141 in the fourth הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית H7243 month בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ H2320 and in the fifth הַחֲמִישִׁ֑י H2549 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 אֵלַ֡י H413 that Hananiah חֲנַנְיָה֩ H2608 the son בֶן H1121 of Azur עַזּ֨וּר H5809 the prophet הַנָּבִ֜יא H5030 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 which was of Gibeon מִגִּבְעוֹן֙ H1391 unto me in the house בְּבֵ֣ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 in the presence לְעֵינֵ֧י H5869 of the priests H4725 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 and carried וַיְבִיאֵ֖ם H935 of Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 4 וְאֶת H853 Jeconiah יְכָנְיָ֣ה H3204 the son בֶן H1121 of Jehoiakim יְהוֹיָקִ֣ים H3079 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֜ה H3063 וְאֶת H854 כָּל H3605 with all the captives גָּל֨וּת H1546 of Judah יְהוּדָ֜ה H3063 that went הַבָּאִ֣ים H935 into Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 אֲנִ֥י H589 And I will bring again מֵשִׁ֛יב H7725 אֶל H413 to this place הַמָּק֥וֹם H4725 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 saith נְאֻם H5002 the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 כִּ֣י H3588 for I will break אֶשְׁבֹּ֔ר H7665 אֶת H853 the yoke עֹ֖ל H5923 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 into Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 5 said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֣ה H3414 Then the prophet הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 אֶל H413 Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֖ה H2608 Then the prophet הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 and in the presence וּלְעֵינֵ֣י H5869 of the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 and in the presence וּלְעֵינֵ֣י H5869 כָל H3605 of all the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 that stood הָעֹמְדִ֖ים H5975 in the house בְּבֵ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 6 said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֣ה H3414 Even the prophet הַנָּבִ֔יא H5030 Amen אָמֵ֕ן H543 כֵּ֖ן H3651 do יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה H6213 of the LORD'S יְהוָה֙ H3068 perform יָקֵ֤ם H6965 of the LORD'S יְהוָה֙ H3068 אֶת H853 thy words דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ H1697 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which thou hast prophesied נִבֵּ֗אתָ H5012 to bring again לְהָשִׁ֞יב H7725 the vessels כְּלֵ֤י H3627 house בֵית H1004 of the LORD'S יְהוָה֙ H3068 וְכָל H3605 and all that is carried away captive הַגּוֹלָ֔ה H1473 from Babylon מִבָּבֶ֖ל H894 אֶל H413 into this place הַמָּק֥וֹם H4725 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 7 אַךְ H389 Nevertheless hear שְׁמַֽע H8085 נָא֙ H4994 thou now this word הַדָּבָ֣ר H1697 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 אָנֹכִ֖י H595 that I speak דֹּבֵ֣ר H1696 and in the ears וּבְאָזְנֵ֖י H241 and in the ears וּבְאָזְנֵ֖י H241 כָּל H3605 of all the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 8 The prophets הַנְּבִיאִ֗ים H5030 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 הָי֧וּ H1961 me and before וּלְפָנֶ֖יךָ H6440 me and before וּלְפָנֶ֖יךָ H6440 מִן H4480 thee of old הָֽעוֹלָ֑ם H5769 prophesied וַיִּנָּ֨בְא֜וּ H5012 אֶל H413 countries אֲרָצ֤וֹת H776 both against many רַבּוֹת֙ H7227 וְעַל H5921 kingdoms מַמְלָכ֣וֹת H4467 and against great גְּדֹל֔וֹת H1419 of war לְמִלְחָמָ֖ה H4421 and of evil וּלְרָעָ֥ה H7451 and of pestilence וּלְדָֽבֶר׃ H1698 9 The prophet הַנָּבִ֔יא H5030 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which prophesieth יִנָּבֵ֖א H5012 of peace לְשָׁל֑וֹם H7965 shall come to pass בְּבֹא֙ H935 when the word דְּבַ֣ר H1697 The prophet הַנָּבִ֔יא H5030 be known יִוָּדַע֙ H3045 The prophet הַנָּבִ֔יא H5030 אֲשֶׁר H834 sent שְׁלָח֥וֹ H7971 that the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 hath truly בֶּאֱמֶֽת׃ H571 10 took וַיִּקַּ֞ח H3947 Then Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֤ה H2608 from off the prophet הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 אֶת H853 the yoke הַמּוֹטָ֔ה H4133 מֵעַ֕ל H5921 neck צַוַּ֖אר H6677 Jeremiah's יִרְמְיָ֣ה H3414 from off the prophet הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 and brake וַֽיִּשְׁבְּרֵֽהוּ׃ H7665 11 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 And Hananiah חֲנַנְיָה֩ H2608 in the presence לְעֵינֵ֨י H5869 כָל H3605 of all the people הָעָ֜ם H5971 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 כֹּה֮ H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָה֒ H3068 כָּ֣כָה H3602 Even so will I break אֶשְׁבֹּ֞ר H7665 אֶת H853 the yoke עֹ֣ל׀ H5923 of Nebuchadnezzar נְבֻֽכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר H5019 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֗ל H894 בְּעוֹד֙ H5750 years שְׁנָתַ֣יִם H8141 within the space of two full יָמִ֔ים H3117 מֵעַ֕ל H5921 from the neck צַוַּ֖אר H6677 כָּל H3605 of all nations הַגּוֹיִ֑ם H1471 וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ H1980 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֥ה H3414 And the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 his way לְדַרְכּֽוֹ׃ H1870 12 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 Then the word דְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶֽל H413 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֥ה H3414 the prophet after אַ֠חֲרֵי H310 had broken שְׁב֞וֹר H7665 that Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֤ה H2608 of the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 אֶת H853 the yoke הַמּוֹטָ֔ה H4133 מֵעַ֗ל H5921 from off the neck צַוַּ֛אר H6677 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֥ה H3414 of the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 13 Go הָלוֹךְ֩ H1980 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 אֶל H413 Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֜ה H2608 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 כֹּ֚ה H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 for them yokes מֹט֥וֹת H4133 of wood עֵ֖ץ H6086 Thou hast broken שָׁבָ֑רְתָּ H7665 but thou shalt make וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ H6213 תַחְתֵּיהֶ֖ן H8478 for them yokes מֹט֥וֹת H4133 of iron בַּרְזֶֽל׃ H1270 14 כִּ֣י H3588 כֹֽה H3541 For thus saith אָמַר֩ H559 the LORD יְהוָ֨ה H3068 of hosts צְבָא֜וֹת H6635 the God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478 a yoke עֹ֣ל H5923 of iron בַּרְזֶ֡ל H1270 I have put נָתַ֥תִּי H5414 עַל H5921 upon the neck צַוַּ֣אר׀ H6677 כָּל H3605 of all these nations הַגּוֹיִ֣ם H1471 הָאֵ֗לֶּה H428 and they shall serve וַעֲבָדֻ֑הוּ H5647 אֶת H853 Nebuchadnezzar נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֥ר H5019 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל H894 and they shall serve וַעֲבָדֻ֑הוּ H5647 וְגַ֛ם H1571 אֶת H853 him the beasts חַיַּ֥ת H2416 of the field הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה H7704 I have put נָתַ֥תִּי H5414 לֽוֹ׃ H0 15 Then said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֧ה H3414 the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 אֶל H413 now Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֑ה H2608 the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 Hear שְׁמַֽע H8085 נָ֣א H4994 now Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֑ה H2608 לֹֽא H3808 hath not sent שְׁלָחֲךָ֣ H7971 The LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 וְאַתָּ֗ה H859 to trust הִבְטַ֛חְתָּ H982 אֶת H853 thee but thou makest this people הָעָ֥ם H5971 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 עַל H5921 in a lie שָֽׁקֶר׃ H8267 16 לָכֵ֗ן H3651 כֹּ֚ה H3541 Therefore thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 against the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 הִנְנִי֙ H2005 Behold I will cast מְשַֽׁלֵּֽחֲךָ֔ H7971 מֵעַ֖ל H5921 thee from off the face פְּנֵ֣י H6440 of the earth הָאֲדָמָ֑ה H127 this year הַשָּׁנָה֙ H8141 אַתָּ֣ה H859 thou shalt die מֵ֔ת H4191 כִּֽי H3588 rebellion סָרָ֥ה H5627 because thou hast taught דִבַּ֖רְתָּ H1696 אֶל H413 against the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 17 died וַיָּ֛מָת H4191 So Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֥ה H2608 the
