house בֵּית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 in the chamber בְּלִשְׁכַּ֡ת H3957 of Gemariah גְּמַרְיָהוּ֩ H1587 the son בֶן H1121 of Shaphan שָׁפָ֨ן H8227 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֜ר H5608 court בֶּחָצֵ֣ר H3605 all the words דִּבְרֵ֥י H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 out of the book הַסֵּֽפֶר׃ H5612 12 Then he went down וַיֵּ֤רֶד H3381 house בֵּית H1004 into the king's הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 עַל H5921 chamber לִשְׁכַּ֣ת H3957 into the scribe's הַסֹּפֵ֡ר H5608 וְהִ֨נֵּה H2009 שָׁ֔ם H8033 כָּל H3605 and all the princes הַשָּׂרִֽים׃ H8269 sat יֽוֹשְׁבִ֑ים H3427 there even Elishama אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַשָּׂרִֽים׃ H8269 13 declared וַיַּגֵּ֤ד H5046 לָהֶם֙ H0 Then Michaiah מִכָ֔יְהוּ H4321 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 unto them all the words הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that he had heard שָׁמֵ֑עַ H8085 הַשָּׂרִ֜ים H8269 אֶל H413 So Baruch בָּר֨וּךְ H1263 אֶת H853 Jehudi יְהוּדִ֡י H3065 the son בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְ֠תַנְיָהוּ H5418 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shelemiah שֶׁלֶמְיָ֣הוּ H8018 the son בֶּן H1121 of Cushi כּוּשִׁי֮ H3570 saying לֵאמֹר֒ H559 the roll הַמְּגִלָּה֙ H4039 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 wherein thou hast read קָרָ֤אתָ H7121 בָּהּ֙ H0 in the ears בְּאָזְנֵ֣י H241 of the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 Take וַ֠יִּקַּח H3947 in his hand בְּיָד֔וֹ H3027 וָלֵ֑ךְ H1980 Take וַ֠יִּקַּח H3947 So Baruch בָּר֨וּךְ H1263 the son בֶּן H1121 of Neriah נֵרִיָּ֤הוּ H5374 אֶת H853 the roll הַמְּגִלָּה֙ H4039 in his hand בְּיָד֔וֹ H3027 and came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 15 And they said וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ H559 אֵלָ֔יו H413 unto him Sit down שֵׁ֣ב H3427 נָ֔א H4994 now and read וַיִּקְרָ֥א H7121 it in our ears בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ H241 now and read וַיִּקְרָ֥א H7121 So Baruch בָר֖וּךְ H1263 it in our ears בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ H241 16 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 Now it came to pass when they had heard כְּשָׁמְעָם֙ H8085 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the words הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 they were afraid פָּחֲד֖וּ H6342 one אִ֣ישׁ H376 both אֶל H413 and other רֵעֵ֑הוּ H7453 and said וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 both אֶל H413 unto Baruch בָּר֔וּךְ H1263 We will surely נַגִּיד֙ H5046 We will surely נַגִּיד֙ H5046 the king לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the words הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ H428 17 וְאֶ֨ת H853 Baruch בָּר֔וּךְ H1263 And they asked שָׁאֲל֖וּ H7592 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 Tell הַגֶּד H5046 נָ֣א H4994 לָ֔נוּ H0 אֵ֗יךְ H349 us now How didst thou write כָּתַ֛בְתָּ H3789 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all these words הַדְּבָרִ֥ים H1697 הָאֵ֖לֶּה H428 at his mouth מִפִּֽיו׃ H6310 18 answered וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לָהֶם֙ H0 Then Baruch בָּר֔וּךְ H1263 unto me with his mouth מִפִּיו֙ H6310 them He pronounced יִקְרָ֣א H7121 אֵלַ֔י H413 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 all these words הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 הָאֵ֑לֶּה H428 וַאֲנִ֛י H589 and I wrote כֹּתֵ֥ב H3789 עַל H5921 in the book הַסֵּ֖פֶר H5612 them with ink בַּדְּיֽוֹ׃ H1773 19 Then said וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ H559 the princes הַשָּׂרִים֙ H8269 אֶל H413 unto Baruch בָּר֔וּךְ H1263 לֵ֥ךְ H1980 hide הִסָּתֵ֖ר H5641 אַתָּ֣ה H859 thee thou and Jeremiah וְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּ H3414 and let no man וְאִ֥ישׁ H376 אַל H408 know יֵדַ֖ע H3045 where אֵיפֹ֥ה H375 אַתֶּֽם׃ H859 20 And they went in וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ H935 אֶל H413 of the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 into the court חָצֵ֔רָה H2691 וְאֶת H853 the roll הַמְּגִלָּ֣ה H4039 but they laid up הִפְקִ֔דוּ H6485 in the chamber בְּלִשְׁכַּ֖ת H3957 of Elishama אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע H476 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֑ר H5608 and told וַיַּגִּ֙ידוּ֙ H5046 in the ears בְּאָזְנֵ֣י H241 of the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אֵ֖ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the words הַדְּבָרִֽים׃ H1697 21 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח H7971 So the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 אֶת H853 And Jehudi יְהוּדִי֙ H3065 and he took וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ H3947 אֶת H853 the roll הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה H4039 and he took וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ H3947 chamber מִלִּשְׁכַּ֖ת H3957 it out of Elishama אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע H476 the scribe's הַסֹּפֵ֑ר H5608 read וַיִּקְרָאֶ֤הָ H7121 And Jehudi יְהוּדִי֙ H3065 and in the ears וּבְאָזְנֵי֙ H241 So the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 and in the ears וּבְאָזְנֵי֙ H241 כָּל H3605 of all the princes הַשָּׂרִ֔ים H8269 which stood הָעֹמְדִ֖ים H5975 beside מֵעַ֥ל H5921 So the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 22 Now the king וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 sat יוֹשֵׁב֙ H3427 in the winterhouse בֵּ֣ית H1004 הַחֹ֔רֶף H2779 month בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ H2320 in the ninth הַתְּשִׁיעִ֑י H8671 וְאֶת H853 and there was a fire on the hearth הָאָ֖ח H254 before לְפָנָ֥יו H6440 burning מְבֹעָֽרֶת׃ H1197 23 וַיְהִ֣י׀ H1961 had read כִּקְר֣וֹא H7121 And it came to pass that when Jehudi יְהוּדִ֗י H3065 three שָׁלֹ֣שׁ H7969 leaves דְּלָתוֹת֮ H1817 or four וְאַרְבָּעָה֒ H702 he cut יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙ H7167 it with the penknife בְּתַ֣עַר H8593 הַסֹּפֵ֔ר H5608 and cast וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ H7993 אֶל H413 in the fire הָאֵ֖שׁ H784 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אֶל H413 that was on the hearth הָאָֽח׃ H254 עַד H5704 was consumed תֹּם֙ H8552 כָּל H3605 until all the roll הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה H4039 עַל H5921 in the fire הָאֵ֖שׁ H784 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 עַל H5921 that was on the hearth הָאָֽח׃ H254 24 וְלֹ֣א H3808 Yet they were not afraid פָחֲד֔וּ H6342 וְלֹ֥א H3808 nor rent קָרְע֖וּ H7167 אֶת H853 their garments בִּגְדֵיהֶ֑ם H899 neither the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 וְכָל H3605 nor any of his servants עֲבָדָ֔יו H5650 that heard הַשֹּׁ֣מְעִ֔ים H8085 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 all these words הַדְּבָרִ֖ים H1697 הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ H428 25 וְגַם֩ H1571 Nevertheless Elnathan אֶלְנָתָ֨ן H494 and Delaiah וּדְלָיָ֤הוּ H1806 and Gemariah וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙ H1587 had made intercession הִפְגִּ֣עוּ H6293 to the king בַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 לְבִלְתִּ֥י H1115 that he would not burn שְׂרֹ֖ף H8313 אֶת H853 the roll הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה H4039 וְלֹ֥א H3808 but he would not hear שָׁמַ֖ע H8085 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 26 commanded וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה H6680 But the king הַ֠מֶּלֶךְ H4428 אֶת H853 Jerahmeel יְרַחְמְאֵ֨ל H3396 the son בֶּֽן H1121 of Hammelech הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ H4429 וְאֶת H853 and Seraiah שְׂרָיָ֣הוּ H8304 the son בֶּֽן H1121 of Azriel עַזְרִיאֵ֗ל H5837 וְאֶת H853 and Shelemiah שֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֙הוּ֙ H8018 the son בֶּֽן H1121 of Abdeel עַבְדְּאֵ֔ל H5655 to take לָקַ֙חַת֙ H3947 אֶת H853 Baruch בָּר֣וּךְ H1263 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֔ר H5608 וְאֵ֖ת H853 and Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ H3414 the prophet הַנָּבִ֑יא H5030 hid וַיַּסְתִּרֵ֖ם H5641 but the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 27 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 Then the word הַדְּבָרִ֔ים H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶֽל H413 came to Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 after אַחֲרֵ֣י׀ H310 had burned שְׂרֹ֣ף H8313 that the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 אֶת H853 the roll הַמְּגִלָּה֙ H4039 וְאֶת H853 Then the word הַדְּבָרִ֔ים H1697 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 wrote כָּתַ֥ב H3789 which Baruch בָּר֛וּךְ H1263 at the mouth מִפִּ֥י H6310 came to Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 28 thee again שׁ֥וּב H7725 Take קַח H3947 לְךָ֖ H0 roll הַמְּגִלָּה֙ H4039 another אַחֶ֑רֶת H312 and write וּכְתֹ֣ב H3789 עָלֶ֗יהָ H5921 אֵ֤ת H853 כָּל H3605 words הַדְּבָרִים֙ H1697 in it all the former הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה H7223 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 הָי֗וּ H1961 עַל H5921 roll הַמְּגִלָּה֙ H4039 in it all the former הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה H7223 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 hath burned שָׂרַ֖ף H8313 which Jehoiakim יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים H3079 the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 29 וְעַל H5921 to Jehoiakim יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים H3079 The king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָה֙ H3063 And thou shalt say לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 כֹּ֖ה H3541 And thou shalt say לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 אַ֠תָּה H859 Thou hast burned שָׂרַ֜פְתָּ H8313 אֶת H853 this roll הַמְּגִלָּ֤ה H4039 הַזֹּאת֙ H2063 And thou shalt say לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 מַדּוּעַ֩ H4069 Why hast thou written כָּתַ֨בְתָּ H3789 עָלֶ֜יהָ H5921 And thou shalt say לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 come יָב֤וֹא H935 come יָב֤וֹא H935 The king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶל֙ H894 and destroy וְהִשְׁחִית֙ H7843 אֶת H853 this land הָאָ֣רֶץ H776 הַזֹּ֔את H2063 and shall cause to cease וְהִשְׁבִּ֥ית H7673 מִמֶּ֖נָּה H4480 from thence man אָדָ֥ם H120 and beast וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ H929 30 לָכֵ֞ן H3651 כֹּֽה H3541 Therefore thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 עַל H5921 of Jehoiakim יְהֽוֹיָקִים֙ H3079 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 לֹא H3808 יִֽהְיֶה H1961 לּ֥וֹ H0 He shall have none to sit יוֹשֵׁ֖ב H3427 עַל H5921 upon the
