H3541 Thus saith תֹֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 the God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 כֹּ֚ה H3541 Thus saith תֹֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 אֶל H413 to the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 that sent הַשֹּׁלֵ֧חַ H7971 אֶתְכֶ֛ם H853 אֵלַ֖י H413 you unto me to enquire לְדָרְשֵׁ֑נִי H1875 הִנֵּ֣ה׀ H2009 army חֵ֣יל H2428 of me Behold Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹ֗ה H6547 which is come forth הַיֹּצֵ֤א H3318 לָכֶם֙ H0 to help לְעֶזְרָ֔ה H5833 you shall return שָׁ֥ב H7725 into their own land לְאַרְצ֖וֹ H776 to Egypt מִצְרָֽיִם׃ H4714 8 shall come again וְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ H7725 And the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים H3778 and fight וְנִלְחֲמ֖וּ H3898 עַל H5921 against this city הָעִ֣יר H5892 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 and take וּלְכָדֻ֖הָ H3920 it and burn וּשְׂרָפֻ֥הָ H8313 it with fire בָאֵֽשׁ׃ H784 9 כֹּ֣ה׀ H3541 Thus saith לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 אַל H408 Deceive תַּשִּׁ֤אוּ H5377 not yourselves נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙ H5315 Thus saith לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 shall surely יֵלֵֽכוּ׃ H1980 shall surely יֵלֵֽכוּ׃ H1980 מֵעָלֵ֖ינוּ H5921 The Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים H3778 כִּי H3588 לֹ֖א H3808 shall surely יֵלֵֽכוּ׃ H1980 10 כִּ֣י H3588 אִם H518 For though ye had smitten הִכִּיתֶ֞ם H5221 כָּל H3605 the whole army חֵ֤יל H2428 of the Chaldeans כַּשְׂדִּים֙ H3778 that fight הַנִּלְחָמִ֣ים H3898 אִתְּכֶ֔ם H854 against you and there remained וְנִ֨שְׁאֲרוּ H7604 בָ֔ם H0 every man אִ֤ישׁ H376 but wounded with fire בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ H784 11 וְהָיָ֗ה H1961 was broken up בְּהֵֽעָלוֹת֙ H5927 And it came to pass that when the army חֵ֥יל H2428 of the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים H3778 מֵעַ֖ל H5921 from Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 for fear מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 And it came to pass that when the army חֵ֥יל H2428 of Pharaoh's פַּרְעֹֽה׃ H6547 12 went forth וַיֵּצֵ֤א H3318 Then Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ H3414 out of Jerusalem מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 לָלֶ֖כֶת H1980 into the land אֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 to separate לַחֲלִ֥ק H2505 מִשָּׁ֖ם H8033 himself thence in the midst בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 of the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 13 וַיְהִי H1961 ה֞וּא H1931 And when he was in the gate בְּשַׁ֣עַר H8179 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִ֗ן H1144 וְשָׁם֙ H8033 a captain בַּ֣עַל H1167 of the ward פְּקִדֻ֔ת H6488 was there whose name וּשְׁמוֹ֙ H8034 was Irijah יִרְאִיָּ֔יה H3376 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shelemiah שֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֖ה H8018 the son בֶּן H1121 of Hananiah חֲנַנְיָ֑ה H2608 and he took וַיִּתְפֹּ֞שׂ H8610 אֶֽת H853 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ H3414 the prophet הַנָּבִיא֙ H5030 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 אֶל H413 to the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים H3778 אַתָּ֥ה H859 Thou fallest away נֹפֵֽל׃ H5307 14 Then said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 Jeremiah בְּיִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 It is false שֶׁ֗קֶר H8267 אֵינֶ֤נִּי H369 I fall not away נֹפֵל֙ H5307 עַל H5921 to the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים H3778 וְלֹ֥א H3808 But he hearkened שָׁמַ֖ע H8085 אֵלָ֑יו H413 took וַיִּתְפֹּ֤שׂ H8610 not to him so Irijah יִרְאִיָּיה֙ H3376 Jeremiah בְּיִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 and brought וַיְבִאֵ֖הוּ H935 אֶל H413 him to the princes הַשָּׂרִֽים׃ H8269 15 were wroth וַיִּקְצְפ֧וּ H7107 Wherefore the princes הַשָּׂרִ֛ים H8269 עַֽל H5921 with Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 and smote וְהִכּ֣וּ H5221 אֹת֑וֹ H853 him and put וְנָתְנ֨וּ H5414 אוֹת֜וֹ H853 in the house לְבֵ֥ית H1004 him in prison הָאֵס֗וּר H612 in the house לְבֵ֥ית H1004 of Jonathan יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן H3083 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֔ר H5608 כִּֽי H3588 אֹת֥וֹ H853 for they had made עָשׂ֖וּ H6213 in the house לְבֵ֥ית H1004 that the prison הַכֶּֽלֶא׃ H3608 16 כִּ֣י H3588 was entered בָ֧א H935 When Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 אֶל H413 into the dungeon בֵּ֥ית H1004 הַבּ֖וֹר H953 וְאֶל H413 and into the cabins הַֽחֲנֻ֑יוֹת H2588 had remained וַיֵּֽשֶׁב H3427 שָׁ֥ם H8033 When Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 days יָמִ֥ים H3117 there many רַבִּֽים׃ H7227 17 sent וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ H7971 and the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 Then Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֜הוּ H6667 and took him out וַיִּקָּחֵ֗הוּ H3947 asked וַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֨הוּ H7592 and the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 in his house בְּבֵיתוֹ֙ H1004 him secretly בַּסֵּ֔תֶר H5643 and said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 There is יֵ֔שׁ H3426 Is there any word דָּבָ֖ר H1697 מֵאֵ֣ת H853 from the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 and said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 And Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ H3414 There is יֵ֔שׁ H3426 and said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 and the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל H894 he thou shalt be delivered תִּנָּתֵֽן׃ H5414 18 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Moreover Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 אֶל H413 unto king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֑הוּ H6667 מֶה֩ H4100 What have I offended חָטָ֨אתִֽי H2398 לְךָ֤ H0 against thee or against thy servants וְלַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 or against this people וְלָעָ֣ם H5971 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 כִּֽי H3588 that ye have put נְתַתֶּ֥ם H5414 אוֹתִ֖י H853 אֶל H413 me in prison בֵּ֥ית H1004 הַכֶּֽלֶא׃ H3608 19 Where are now וְאַיֵּו֙ H346 your prophets נְבִ֣יאֵיכֶ֔ם H5030 אֲשֶׁר H834 which prophesied נִבְּא֥וּ H5012 לָכֶ֖ם H0 unto you saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 לֹֽא H3808 shall not come יָבֹ֤א H935 The king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶל֙ H894 עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם H5921 וְעַ֖ל H5921 against you nor against this land הָאָ֥רֶץ H776 הַזֹּֽאת׃ H2063 20 וְעַתָּ֕ה H6258 Therefore hear שְֽׁמַֽע H8085 נָ֖א H4994 now I pray thee O my lord אֲדֹנִ֣י H113 the king הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 I pray thee be accepted תִּפָּל H5307 נָ֤א H4994 let my supplication תְחִנָּתִי֙ H8467 before לְפָנֶ֔יךָ H6440 וְאַל H408 thee that thou cause me not to return תְּשִׁבֵ֗נִי H7725 to the house בֵּ֚ית H1004 of Jonathan יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן H3083 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֔ר H5608 וְלֹ֥א H3808 lest I die אָמ֖וּת H4191 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 21 commanded וַיְצַוֶּ֞ה H6680 the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Then Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֗הוּ H6667 that they should commit וַיַּפְקִ֣דוּ H6485 אֶֽת H853 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 in the court בַּחֲצַ֖ר H2691 of the prison הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ H4307 and that they should give וְנָתֹן֩ H5414 ל֨וֹ H0 a piece כִכַּר H3603 of bread הַלֶּ֖חֶם H3899 him daily לַיּוֹם֙ H3117 ' street מִח֣וּץ H2351 out of the bakers הָאֹפִ֔ים H644 עַד H5704 were spent תֹּ֥ם H8552 כָּל H3605 of bread הַלֶּ֖חֶם H3899 מִן H4480 in the city הָעִ֑יר H5892 remained וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב H3427 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 in the court בַּחֲצַ֖ר H2691 of the prison הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ H4307 [Jeremiah
