Babylon בָּבֶ֤ל H894 וְכָל H3605 and all his army חֵילוֹ֙ H2428 אֶל H413 against Jerusalem יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 and they besieged וַיָּצֻ֖רוּ H6696 עָלֶֽיהָ׃ H5921 2 And in the eleventh בְּעַשְׁתֵּֽי וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ H3427 gate בְּשַׁ֣עַר H8179 in the middle הַתָּ֑וֶךְ H8432 נֵרְגַ֣ל H0 Nergalsharezer שַׂרְאֶ֨צֶר֙ H5371 סַֽמְגַּר H0 Samgarnebo נְב֞וּ H5562 שַׂר H0 Sarsechim סְכִ֣ים H8310 רַב H0 וְכֹ֣ל׀ H3605 them and all the men אַנְשֵׁ֣י H582 of war הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה H4421 then they fled וַֽ֠יִּבְרְחוּ H1272 and he went out וַיֵּצֵ֖א H3318 by night לַ֤יְלָה H3915 מִן H4480 out of the city הָעִיר֙ H5892 by the way דֶּ֥רֶךְ H1870 garden גַּ֣ן H1588 of the king's הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 by the gate בְּשַׁ֖עַר H8179 בֵּ֣ין H996 betwixt the two walls הַחֹמֹתָ֑יִם H2346 and he went out וַיֵּצֵ֖א H3318 by the way דֶּ֥רֶךְ H1870 of the plain הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ H6160 5 pursued וַיִּרְדְּפ֨וּ H7291 army חֵיל H2428 But the Chaldeans כַּשְׂדִּ֜ים H3778 after אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם H310 them and overtook וַיַּשִּׂ֣גוּ H5381 אֶת H853 Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּהוּ֮ H6667 in the plains בְּעַֽרְב֣וֹת H6160 of Jericho יְרֵחוֹ֒ H3405 and when they had taken וַיִּקְח֣וּ H3947 אֹת֗וֹ H853 him they brought him up וַֽ֠יַּעֲלֻהוּ H5927 אֶל H413 to Nebuchadnezzar נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֧ר H5019 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֛ל H894 to Riblah רִבְלָ֖תָה H7247 in the land בְּאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Hamath חֲמָ֑ת H2574 where he gave וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר H1696 אִתּ֖וֹ H853 judgment מִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ H4941 6 slew שָׁחַ֖ט H7819 Then the king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 אֶת H853 the sons בְּנֵ֧י H1121 of Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֛הוּ H6667 in Riblah בְּרִבְלָ֖ה H7247 before his eyes לְעֵינָ֑יו H5869 וְאֵת֙ H853 כָּל H3605 all the nobles חֹרֵ֣י H2715 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 slew שָׁחַ֖ט H7819 Then the king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 7 וְאֶת H853 eyes עֵינֵ֥י H5869 Zedekiah's צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ H6667 Moreover he put out עִוֵּ֑ר H5786 and bound וַיַּאַסְרֵ֙הוּ֙ H631 him with chains בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם H5178 to carry לָבִ֥יא H935 אֹת֖וֹ H853 him to Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 8 וְאֶת H853 and the houses בֵּ֣ית H1004 the king's הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 וְאֶת H853 and the houses בֵּ֣ית H1004 of the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 burned שָׂרְפ֥וּ H8313 And the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים H3778 with fire בָּאֵ֑שׁ H784 וְאֶת H853 the walls חֹמ֥וֹת H2346 of Jerusalem יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם H3389 and brake down נָתָֽצוּ׃ H5422 9 וְאֵת֩ H227 the remnant יֶ֥תֶר H3499 of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 that remained הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֑ים H7604 in the city בָּעִ֗יר H5892 וְאֶת H853 and those that fell away נָפְל֣וּ H5307 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 and those that fell away נָפְל֣וּ H5307 עָלָ֔יו H5921 וְאֵ֛ת H853 the remnant יֶ֥תֶר H3499 of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 that remained הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֑ים H7604 carried away captive הֶגְלָ֛ה H1540 Then Nebuzaradan נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֥ן H5018 the captain רַב H7227 of the guard טַבָּחִ֖ים H2876 into Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 10 וּמִן H4480 of the people הָעָ֣ם H5971 of the poor הַדַּלִּ֗ים H1800 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 אֵין H369 לָהֶם֙ H0 which had nothing מְא֔וּמָה H3972 left הִשְׁאִ֛יר H7604 But Nebuzaradan נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֥ן H5018 the captain רַב H7227 of the guard טַבָּחִ֖ים H2876 in the land בְּאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Judah יְהוּדָ֑ה H3063 and gave וַיִּתֵּ֥ן H5414 לָהֶ֛ם H0 them vineyards כְּרָמִ֥ים H3754 and fields וִֽיגֵבִ֖ים H3010 at the same time בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַהֽוּא׃ H1931 11 gave charge וַיְצַ֛ו H6680 Now Nebuchadrezzar נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר H5019 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל H894 עַֽל H5921 concerning Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ H3414 to בְּיַ֛ד H3027 Nebuzaradan נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֥ן H5018 the captain רַב H7227 of the guard טַבָּחִ֖ים H2876 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 12 Take קָחֶ֗נּוּ H3947 him and look well וְעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ H5869 שִׂ֣ים H7760 עָלָ֔יו H5921 וְאַל H408 but do עֲשֵׂ֥ה H6213 ל֖וֹ H0 him no harm מְא֣וּמָה H3972 רָּ֑ע H7451 כִּ֗י H3588 אִם וְכֹ֖ל H3605 princes רַבֵּ֥י H7227 and all the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon's בָּבֶֽל׃ H894 14 Even they sent וַיִּשְׁלְחוּ֩ H7971 and took וַיִּקְח֨וּ H3947 אֶֽת H853 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֜הוּ H3414 out of the court מֵחֲצַ֣ר H2691 of the prison הַמַּטָּרָ֗ה H4307 and committed וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ H5414 אֹתוֹ֙ H853 אֶל H413 him unto Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ H1436 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ahikam אֲחִיקָ֣ם H296 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shaphan שָׁפָ֔ן H8227 that he should carry לְהוֹצִאֵ֖הוּ H3318 אֶל H413 him home הַבָּ֑יִת H1004 so he dwelt וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב H3427 among בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 15 וְאֶֽל H413 came unto Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ H3414 הָיָ֣ה H1961 Now the word דְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 בִּֽהְיֹת֣וֹ H1961 while he was shut up עָצ֔וּר H6113 in the court בַּחֲצַ֥ר H2691 of the prison הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה H4307 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 16 Go הָל֣וֹךְ H1980 Thus saith אָמַ֞ר H559 לְעֶבֶד H0 to Ebedmelech מֶ֨לֶךְ H5663 the Ethiopian הַכּוּשִׁ֜י H3569 Thus saith אָמַ֞ר H559 כֹּֽה H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֞ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֤ה H3068 of hosts צְבָאוֹת֙ H6635 the God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 הִנְנִי֩ H2005 Behold I will bring מֵבִ֨י H935 אֶת H853 my words דְּבָרַ֜י H1697 אֶל H413 upon this city הָעִ֥יר H5892 הַזֹּ֛את H2063 for evil לְרָעָ֖ה H7451 וְלֹ֣א H3808 and not for good לְטוֹבָ֑ה H2896 וְהָי֥וּ H1961 before לְפָנֶ֖יךָ H6440 and they shall be accomplished in that day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַהֽוּא׃ H1931 17 But I will deliver וְהִצַּלְתִּ֥יךָ H5337 thee in that day בַיּוֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 saith נְאֻם H5002 the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 וְלֹ֤א H3808 and thou shalt not be given תִנָּתֵן֙ H5414 into the hand בְּיַ֣ד H3027 הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 אַתָּ֥ה H859 thou art afraid יָג֖וֹר H3016 of whom מִפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ H6440 18 כִּ֤י H3588 For I will surely אֲמַלֶּטְךָ֔ H4422 For I will surely אֲמַלֶּטְךָ֔ H4422 by the sword וּבַחֶ֖רֶב H2719 לֹ֣א H3808 thee and thou shalt not fall תִפֹּ֑ל H5307 וְהָיְתָ֨ה H1961 לְךָ֤ H0 but thy life נַפְשְׁךָ֙ H5315
