הַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה H4708 and dwelt וַיֵּ֤שֶׁב H3427 אִתּוֹ֙ H854 with him among בְּת֣וֹךְ H8432 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 that were left הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֖ים H7604 in the land בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ H776 7 heard וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ֩ H8085 כָל H3605 Now when all the captains שָׂרֵ֨י H8269 of the forces הַחֲיָלִ֜ים H2428 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which were in the fields בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה H7704 הֵ֚מָּה H1992 וְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם H376 כִּֽי H3588 and had committed הִפְקִ֣יד H6485 that the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 אֶת H853 had made Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֥הוּ H1436 the son בֶן H1121 of Ahikam אֲחִיקָ֖ם H296 in the land הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 וְכִ֣י׀ H3588 and had committed הִפְקִ֣יד H6485 אִתּ֗וֹ H854 אֲנָשִׁ֤ים H376 and women וְנָשִׁים֙ H802 and children וָטָ֔ף H2945 and of the poor וּמִדַּלַּ֣ת H1803 in the land הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 of them that were not carried away captive הָגְל֖וּ H1540 of Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 8 Then they came וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ H935 אֶל H413 to Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֖ה H1436 to Mizpah הַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה H4708 even Ishmael וְיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל H3458 and the sons בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָ֡הוּ H5418 and Johanan וְיוֹחָנָ֣ן H3110 and Jonathan וְיוֹנָתָ֣ן H3129 and the sons בֶּן H1121 of Kareah קָ֠רֵחַ H7143 and Seraiah וּשְׂרָיָ֨ה H8304 and the sons בֶּן H1121 of Tanhumeth תַּנְחֻ֜מֶת H8576 and the sons בֶּן H1121 of Ephai עֵופַ֣י H5778 the Netophathite הַנְּטֹפָתִ֗י H5200 and Jezaniah וִֽיזַנְיָ֙הוּ֙ H3153 and the sons בֶּן H1121 of a Maachathite הַמַּ֣עֲכָתִ֔י H4602 הֵ֖מָּה H1992 they and their men וְאַנְשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ H582 9 sware וַיִּשָּׁבַ֨ע H7650 לָהֶ֜ם H0 And Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֨הוּ H1436 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ahikam אֲחִיקָ֤ם H296 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shaphan שָׁפָן֙ H8227 וּלְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֣ם H376 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 אַל H408 Fear תִּֽירְא֖וּ H3372 and serve וְעִבְד֛וּ H5647 the Chaldeans הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים H3778 dwell in שְׁב֣וּ H3427 the land בָאָ֗רֶץ H776 and serve וְעִבְד֛וּ H5647 אֶת H853 the king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל H894 and it shall be well וְיִיטַ֥ב H3190 לָכֶֽם׃ H0 10 וַאֲנִ֗י H589 הִנְנִ֤י H2005 As for me behold I will dwell וּשְׁב֖וּ H3427 at Mizpah בַּמִּצְפָּ֔ה H4709 to serve לַֽעֲמֹד֙ H5975 לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 the Chaldeans תְּפַשְׂתֶּֽם׃ H8610 11 וְגַ֣ם H1571 כָּֽל H3605 Likewise when all the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֡ים H3064 אֲשֶׁר H834 that were in Moab בְּמוֹאָ֣ב׀ H4124 the son בֶּן H1121 and among the Ammonites עַמּ֨וֹן H5983 and in Edom וּבֶאֱד֜וֹם H123 וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 בְּכָל H3605 and that were in all the countries הָֽאֲרָצוֹת֙ H776 heard שָֽׁמְע֔וּ H8085 כִּֽי H3588 had left נָתַ֧ן H5414 that the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Babylon בָּבֶ֛ל H894 a remnant שְׁאֵרִ֖ית H7611 of Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה H3063 וְכִי֙ H3588 and that he had set הִפְקִ֣יד H6485 עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם H5921 אֶת H853 over them Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ H1436 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ahikam אֲחִיקָ֥ם H296 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shaphan שָׁפָֽן׃ H8227 12 returned out וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ H7725 כָל H3605 Even all the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֗ים H3064 מִכָּל H3605 of all places הַמְּקֹמוֹת֙ H4725 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 whither they were driven נִדְּחוּ H5080 שָׁ֔ם H8033 and came וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ H935 to the land אֶֽרֶץ H776 of Judah יְהוּדָ֛ה H3063 אֶל H413 to Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ H1436 unto Mizpah הַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה H4708 and gathered וַיַּאַסְפ֛וּ H622 wine יַ֥יִן H3196 and summer fruits וָקַ֖יִץ H7019 much הַרְבֵּ֥ה H7235 very מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 13 Moreover Johanan וְיֽוֹחָנָן֙ H3110 the son בֶּן H1121 of Kareah קָרֵ֔חַ H7143 וְכָל H3605 and all the captains שָׂרֵ֥י H8269 of the forces הַחֲיָלִ֖ים H2428 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that were in the fields בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה H7704 came בָּ֥אוּ H935 אֶל H413 to Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ H1436 to Mizpah הַמִּצְפָּֽתָה׃ H4708 14 And said וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ H559 אֵלָ֗יו H413 know תֵּדַע֙ H3045 know תֵּדַע֙ H3045 כִּ֞י H3588 that Baalis בַּעֲלִ֣יס׀ H1185 the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of the Ammonites בֶּן H1121 עַמּ֗וֹן H5983 hath sent שָׁלַח֙ H7971 אֶת H853 Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל H3458 of the Ammonites בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָ֔ה H5418 to slay לְהַכֹּתְךָ֖ H5221 נָ֑פֶשׁ H5315 וְלֹא H3808 believed הֶאֱמִ֣ין H539 לָהֶ֔ם H0 thee But Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ H1436 of the Ammonites בֶּן H1121 of Ahikam אֲחִיקָֽם׃ H296 15 Then Johanan וְיוֹחָנָ֣ן H3110 the son בֶּן H1121 of Kareah קָרֵ֡חַ H7143 saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 אֶל H413 to Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָהוּ֩ H1436 secretly בַסֵּ֨תֶר H5643 in Mizpah בַּמִּצְפָּ֜ה H4709 saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 אֵ֤לְכָה H1980 נָּא֙ H4994 I pray thee and I will slay יַכֶּ֣כָּה H5221 אֶת H853 Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל H3458 the son בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָ֔ה H5418 and no man וְאִ֖ישׁ H376 לֹ֣א H3808 shall know יֵדָ֑ע H3045 לָ֧מָּה H4100 I pray thee and I will slay יַכֶּ֣כָּה H5221 נֶּ֗פֶשׁ H5315 unto thee should be scattered וְנָפֹ֙צוּ֙ H6327 כָּל H3605 thee that all the Jews יְהוּדָ֔ה H3064 which are gathered הַנִּקְבָּצִ֣ים
