יָדָֽע׃ H3045 5 That there came לְהָבִ֖יא H935 men אִ֔ישׁ H376 from Shechem מִשְּׁכֶ֞ם H7927 from Shiloh מִשִּׁל֤וֹ H7887 and from Samaria וּמִשֹּֽׁמְרוֹן֙ H8111 even fourscore שְׁמֹנִ֣ים H8084 men אִ֔ישׁ H376 shaven מְגֻלְּחֵ֥י H1548 having their beards זָקָ֛ן H2206 rent וּקְרֻעֵ֥י H7167 and their clothes בְגָדִ֖ים H899 and having cut וּמִתְגֹּֽדְדִ֑ים H1413 themselves with offerings וּמִנְחָ֤ה H7819 that Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֤אל H3458 the son בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָה֙ H5418 אֶל H413 into the midst תּ֣וֹךְ H8432 of the pit הַבּ֔וֹר H953 ה֖וּא H1931 וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּֽוֹ׃ H854 8 But ten וַעֲשָׂרָ֨ה H6235 אֲנָשִׁ֜ים H376 were found נִמְצְאוּ H4672 בָ֗ם H0 among them that said וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ H559 אֶל H413 unto Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ H3458 אַל H408 Slay הֱמִיתָ֖ם H4191 כִּֽי H3588 us not for we have יֶשׁ H3426 לָ֤נוּ H0 treasures מַטְמֹנִים֙ H4301 in the field בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה H7704 of wheat חִטִּ֥ים H2406 and of barley וּשְׂעֹרִ֖ים H8184 and of oil וְשֶׁ֣מֶן H8081 and of honey וּדְבָ֑שׁ H1706 So he forbare וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל H2308 וְלֹ֥א H3808 Slay הֱמִיתָ֖ם H4191 them not among בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 their brethren אֲחֵיהֶֽם׃ H251 9 Now the pit וְהַבּ֗וֹר H953 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 had cast הִשְׁלִ֨יךְ H7993 שָׁ֤ם H8033 and Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֥אל H3458 אֵ֣ת׀ H853 כָּל H3605 all the dead bodies פִּגְרֵ֣י H6297 הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים H376 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 whom he had slain הִכָּה֙ H5221 because יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל H3458 the son בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָֽה׃ H5418 12 Then they took וַיִּקְחוּ֙ H3947 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים H376 וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ H1980 to fight לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם H3898 עִם H5973 with Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל H3458 the son בֶּן H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָ֑ה H5418 and found וַיִּמְצְא֣וּ H4672 אֹת֔וֹ H853 אֶל H413 waters מַ֥יִם H4325 him by the great רַבִּ֖ים H7227 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that are in Gibeon בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃ H1391 13 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 saw כִּרְא֤וֹת H7200 כָּל H3605 Now it came to pass that when all the people הָעָם֙ H5971 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אֶת H854 which were with Ishmael אִתּ֑וֹ H854 that were with him then they were glad וַיִּשְׂמָֽחוּ׃ H8055 14 cast about וַיָּסֹ֙בּוּ֙ H5437 כָּל H3605 So all the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 אֲשֶׁר H834 had carried away captive שָׁבָ֥ה H7617 that Ishmael יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל H3458 מִן H4480 from Mizpah הַמִּצְפָּ֑ה H4709 and returned וַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ H7725 וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ H1980 אֶל H413 unto Johanan יֽוֹחָנָ֖ן H3110 the son בֶּן H1121 of Kareah קָרֵֽחַ׃ H7143 15 But Ishmael וְיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל H3458 the son בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Nethaniah נְתַנְיָ֗ה H5418 escaped נִמְלַט֙ H4422 with eight בִּשְׁמֹנָ֣ה H8083 אֲנָשִׁ֔ים H376 from מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 Johanan יֽוֹחָנָ֑ן H3110 וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ H1980 אֶל H413 the son בְּנֵ֥י H1121 עַמּֽוֹן׃ H5983 16 Then took וַיִּקַּח֩ H3947 Johanan יוֹחָנָ֨ן H3110 the son בֶּן H1121 of Kareah קָרֵ֜חַ H7143 וְכָל H3605 and all the captains שָׂרֵ֧י H8269 of the forces הַחֲיָלִ֣ים H2428 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֗וֹ H854 אֵ֣ת H853 כָּל H3605 that were with him all the remnant שְׁאֵרִ֤ית H7611 of the people הָעָם֙ H5971 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 H802 and the children וְטַף֙ H2945 and the eunuchs וְסָ֣רִסִ֔ים H5631 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 whom he had brought again הֵשִׁ֖יב H7725 from Gibeon מִגִּבְעֽוֹן׃ H1391 17 וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ H1980 and dwelt in וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙ H3427 the habitation בְּגֵר֣וּת H1628 of Chimham כִּמְוהָ֔ם H3643 אֲשֶׁר H834 which is by אֵ֖צֶל H681 בֵּ֣ית H0 Bethlehem לָ֑חֶם H1035 לָלֶ֖כֶת H1980 to enter לָב֥וֹא H935 into Egypt
