the waters מֵ֥י H4325 of Merom מֵר֖וֹם H4792 suddenly פִּתְאֹ֑ם H6597 and they fell upon וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ H5307 בָּהֶֽם׃ H0 8 delivered וַיִּתְּנֵ֨ם H5414 And the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 them into the hand back וַיָּ֨שָׁב H7725 And Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ H3091 at that time בָּעֵ֤ת H6256 הַהִיא֙ H1931 and took וַיִּלְכֹּ֣ד H3920 אֶת H853 Hazor חָצ֣וֹר H2674 וְאֶת H853 the king מַלְכָּ֖הּ H4428 and smote הִכָּ֣ה H5221 thereof with the sword בֶחָ֑רֶב H2719 כִּֽי H3588 Hazor חָצ֣וֹר H2674 beforetime לְפָנִ֔ים H6440 הִ֕יא H1931 was the head רֹ֖אשׁ H7218 כָּל H3605 of all those kingdoms הַמַּמְלָכ֥וֹת H4467 הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ H428 11 And they smote וַ֠יַּכּוּ H5221 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the souls הַנֶּ֨פֶשׁ H5315 אֲשֶׁר H834 בָּ֤הּ H0 that were therein with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חֶ֙רֶב֙ H2719 utterly destroying הַֽחֲרֵ֔ם H2763 לֹ֥א H3808 them there was not any left נוֹתַ֖ר H3498 כָּל H3605 to breathe נְשָׁמָ֑ה H5397 וְאֶת H853 Hazor חָצ֖וֹר H2674 and he burnt שָׂרַ֥ף H8313 with fire בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ H784 12 וְֽאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 And all the cities עָרֵ֣י H5892 and all the kings מַלְכֵיהֶ֞ם H4428 הָ֠אֵלֶּה H428 וְֽאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and all the kings מַלְכֵיהֶ֞ם H4428 take לָכַ֧ד H3920 of them did Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ H3091 and smote וַיַּכֵּ֥ם H5221 them with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חֶ֖רֶב H2719 and he utterly destroyed הֶֽחֱרִ֣ים H2763 אוֹתָ֑ם H853 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 commanded צִוָּ֔ה H6680 them as Moses מֹשֶׁ֖ה H4872 the servant עֶ֥בֶד H5650 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 13 רַ֣ק H7535 כָּל H3605 But as for the cities הֶֽעָרִ֗ים H5892 that stood הָעֹֽמְדוֹת֙ H5975 עַל H5921 still in their strength תִּלָּ֔ם H8510 לֹ֥א H3808 burn שָׂרַ֥ף H8313 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 none of them save זֽוּלָתִ֛י H2108 אֶת H853 Hazor חָצ֥וֹר H2674 לְבַדָּ֖הּ H905 burn שָׂרַ֥ף H8313 only that did Joshua יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ H3091 14 וְ֠כֹל H3605 And all the spoil שְׁלַ֞ל H7998 of these cities הֶֽעָרִ֤ים H5892 הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ H428 and the cattle וְהַבְּהֵמָ֔ה H929 took for a prey בָּֽזְז֥וּ H962 לָהֶ֖ם H1992 the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 רַ֣ק H7535 אֶֽת H853 כָּל H3605 unto themselves but every man הָאָדָ֞ם H120 they smote הִכּ֣וּ H5221 with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חֶ֗רֶב H2719 עַד H5704 until they had destroyed הִשְׁמִדָם֙ H8045 אוֹתָ֔ם H853 לֹ֥א H3808 them neither left הִשְׁאִ֖ירוּ H7604 כָּל H3605 they any to breathe נְשָׁמָֽה׃ H5397 יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶת H853 Moses מֹשֶֽׁה׃ H4872 16 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 So Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ H3091 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all that land אֶ֣רֶץ H776 הַזֹּ֗את H2063 and the mountain הַ֥ר H2022 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and all the south country הַנֶּ֙גֶב֙ H5045 וְאֵת֙ H853 כָּל H3605 all that land אֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Goshen הַגֹּ֔שֶׁן H1657 וְאֶת H853 and the valley וּשְׁפֵֽלָתֹֽה׃ H8219 וְאֶת H853 and the plain הָֽעֲרָבָ֑ה H6160 וְאֶת H853 and the mountain הַ֥ר H2022 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 and the valley וּשְׁפֵֽלָתֹֽה׃ H8219 17 מִן H4480 Even from the mount הַר H2022 Halak הֶֽחָלָק֙ H2510 that goeth up הָֽעוֹלֶ֣ה H5927 to Seir שֵׂעִ֔יר H8165 וְעַד H5704 בַּ֤עַל H0 even unto Baalgad גָּד֙ H1171 in the valley בְּבִקְעַ֣ת H1237 of Lebanon הַלְּבָנ֔וֹן H3844 תַּ֖חַת H8478 Even from the mount הַר H2022 Hermon חֶרְמ֑וֹן H2768 וְאֵ֤ת H853 כָּל H3605 and all their kings מַלְכֵיהֶם֙ H4428 he took לָכַ֔ד H3920 and smote וַיַּכֵּ֖ם H5221 them and slew וַיְמִיתֵֽם׃ H4191 18 time יָמִ֣ים H3117 a not a city עִ֗יר H5892 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 that made peace הִשְׁלִ֙ימָה֙ H7999 אֶל H413 with the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 בִּלְתִּ֥י H1115 save the Hivites הַֽחִוִּ֖י H2340 the inhabitants יֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י H3427 of Gibeon גִבְע֑וֹן H1391 אֶת H853 הַכֹּ֖ל H3605 all other they took לָֽקְח֥וּ H3947 in battle בַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ H4421 20 כִּ֣י H3588 מֵאֵ֣ת H853 For it was of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 הָֽיְתָ֡ה H1961 to harden לְחַזֵּ֣ק H2388 אֶת H853 their hearts לִבָּם֩ H3820 that they should come against לִקְרַ֨את H7125 in battle הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה H4421 אֶת H853 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 לְמַ֣עַן H4616 that he might destroy them utterly הַֽחֲרִימָ֔ם H2763 לְבִלְתִּ֥י H1115 הֱיוֹת H1961 לָהֶ֖ם H1992 and that they might have no favour תְּחִנָּ֑ה H8467 כִּ֚י H3588 לְמַ֣עַן H4616 but that he might destroy הַשְׁמִידָ֔ם H8045 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 commanded צִוָּ֥ה H6680 For it was of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶת H853 Moses מֹשֶֽׁה׃ H4872 21 came וַיָּבֹ֨א H935 Joshua יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ H3091 And at that time בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֗יא H1931 and cut off וַיַּכְרֵ֤ת H3772 אֶת H853 the Anakims הָֽעֲנָקִים֙ H6062 מִן H4480 and from all the mountains הַ֣ר H2022 מִן H4480 from Hebron חֶבְרוֹן֙ H2275 מִן H4480 from Debir דְּבִ֣ר H1688 מִן H4480 from Anab עֲנָ֔ב H6024 וּמִכֹּל֙ H3605 and from all the mountains הַ֣ר H2022 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 וּמִכֹּ֖ל H3605 and from all the mountains הַ֣ר H2022 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 עִם H5973 with their cities עָֽרֵיהֶ֖ם H5892 destroyed them utterly הֶֽחֱרִימָ֥ם H2763 Joshua יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ H3091 22 לֹֽא H3808 left נוֹתַ֣ר H3498 There was none of the Anakims עֲנָקִ֔ים H6062 in the land בְּאֶ֖רֶץ H776 of the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 רַ֗ק H7535 only in Gaza בְּעַזָּ֛ה H5804 in Gath בְּגַ֥ת H1661 and in Ashdod וּבְאַשְׁדּ֖וֹד H795 there remained נִשְׁאָֽרוּ׃ H7604 23 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 So Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ H3091 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 And the land וְהָאָ֥רֶץ H776 כְּ֠כֹל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 said דִּבֶּ֣ר H1696 according to all that the LORD יְהוָה֮ H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁה֒ H4872 gave וַיִּתְּנָהּ֩ H5414 So Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ H3091 it for an inheritance לְנַֽחֲלָ֧ה H5159 unto Israel לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל H3478 according to their divisions כְּמַחְלְקֹתָ֖ם H4256 by their tribes לְשִׁבְטֵיהֶ֑ם H7626 And the land וְהָאָ֥רֶץ H776 rested שָֽׁקְטָ֖ה H8252 from war מִמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ H4421 [Joshua
