וַתִּקְרַ֡בְנָה H7126 and before וְלִפְנֵ֤י H6440 Eleazar אֶלְעָזָ֨ר H499 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֜ן H3548 and before וְלִפְנֵ֤י H6440 Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ H3091 the son בִּן H1121 of Nun נ֗וּן H5126 and עֲשָׂרָ֑ה H6235 לְבַ֞ד H905 beside the land מֵאֶ֤רֶץ H776 of Gilead הַגִּלְעָד֙ H1568 and Bashan וְהַבָּשָׁ֔ן H1316 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 which were on the other side מֵעֵ֥בֶר H5676 Jordan לַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ H3383 6 כִּ֚י H3588 Because the daughters בְּנ֣וֹת H1323 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 had נָֽחֲל֥וּ H5157 an inheritance נַֽחֲלָ֖ה H5159 among בְּת֣וֹךְ H8432 his sons לִבְנֵֽי H1121 had the land וְאֶ֙רֶץ֙ H776 of Gilead הַגִּלְעָ֔ד H1568 הָֽיְתָ֥ה H1961 his sons לִבְנֵֽי H1121 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 and the rest הַנּֽוֹתָרִֽים׃ H3498 7 וַיְהִ֤י H1961 And the coast הַגְּבוּל֙ H1366 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁה֙ H4519 was from Asher מֵֽאָשֵׁ֔ר H836 to Michmethah הַֽמִּכְמְתָ֔ת H4366 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 עַל H5921 that lieth before פְּנֵ֣י H6440 Shechem שְׁכֶ֑ם H7927 went along וְהָלַ֤ךְ H1980 And the coast הַגְּבוּל֙ H1366 אֶל H413 on the right hand הַיָּמִ֔ין H3225 אֶל H413 unto the inhabitants יֹֽשְׁבֵ֖י H3427 עֵ֥ין H0 of Entappuah תַּפּֽוּחַ׃ H5887 8 Now Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 הָֽיְתָ֖ה H1961 had the land אֶ֣רֶץ H776 but Tappuah וְתַפּ֛וּחַ H8599 but Tappuah וְתַפּ֛וּחַ H8599 אֶל H413 on the border גְּב֥וּל H1366 Now Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 belonged to the children לִבְנֵ֥י H1121 of Ephraim אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ H669 9 descended וְיָרַ֣ד H3381 And the coast וּגְב֤וּל H1366 of the river לַנַּ֔חַל H5158 Kanah קָנָ֜ה H7071 southward נֶ֣גְבָּה H5045 of the river לַנַּ֔חַל H5158 the cities עָרֵ֣י H5892 הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ H428 of Ephraim לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם H669 are among בְּת֖וֹךְ H8432 the cities עָרֵ֣י H5892 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁה֙ H4519 And the coast וּגְב֤וּל H1366 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁה֙ H4519 also was on the north side מִצְּפ֣וֹן H6828 of the river לַנַּ֔חַל H5158 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 and the outgoings תֹֽצְאֹתָ֖יו H8444 of it were at the sea הַיָּֽמָּה׃ H3220 10 Southward נֶ֣גְבָּה H5045 it was Ephraim's לְאֶפְרַ֗יִם H669 and northward מִצָּפ֔וֹן H6828 it was Manasseh's לִמְנַשֶּׁ֔ה H4519 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 and the sea הַיָּ֖ם H3220 is his border גְּבוּל֑וֹ H1366 in Asher וּבְאָשֵׁר֙ H836 and they met together יִפְגְּע֣וּן H6293 and northward מִצָּפ֔וֹן H6828 and in Issachar וּבְיִשָּׂשכָ֖ר H3485 on the east מִמִּזְרָֽח׃ H4217 11 וַיְהִ֨י H1961 And Manasseh לִמְנַשֶּׁ֜ה H4519 had in Issachar בְּיִשָּׂשכָ֣ר H3485 and in Asher וּבְאָשֵׁ֗ר H836 בֵּית H0 Bethshean שְׁאָ֣ן H1052 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 and Ibleam וְיִבְלְעָ֨ם H2991 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 וְֽאֶת H853 and the inhabitants וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י H3427 of Dor דֹ֣אר H1756 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 and the inhabitants וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י H3427 עֵֽין H0 of Endor דֹּר֙ H5874 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 and the inhabitants וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י H3427 of Taanach תַעְנַךְ֙ H8590 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 and the inhabitants וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י H3427 of Megiddo מְגִדּ֖וֹ H4023 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 even three שְׁלֹ֖שֶׁת H7969 countries הַנָּֽפֶת׃ H5316 12 וְלֹ֤א H3808 could יָֽכְלוּ֙ H3201 Yet the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה H4519 not drive out לְהוֹרִ֖ישׁ H3423 אֶת H853 the inhabitants of those cities הֶֽעָרִ֣ים H5892 הָאֵ֑לֶּה H428 would וַיּ֙וֹאֶל֙ H2974 but the Canaanites הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י H3669 dwell לָשֶׁ֖בֶת H3427 in that land בָּאָ֥רֶץ H776 הַזֹּֽאת׃ H2063 13 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 כִּ֤י H3588 were waxen strong חָֽזְקוּ֙ H2388 Yet it came to pass when the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 that they put וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ H5414 אֶת H853 the Canaanites הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י H3669 to tribute לָמַ֑ס H4522 but did not utterly הֽוֹרִישֽׁוֹ׃ H3423 לֹ֥א H3808 but did not utterly הֽוֹרִישֽׁוֹ׃ H3423 14 spake וַֽיְדַבְּרוּ֙ H1696 And the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Joseph יוֹסֵ֔ף H3130 אֶת H854 unto Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ H3091 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 מַדּוּעַ֩ H4069 Why hast thou given נָתַ֨תָּה H5414 לִּ֜י H0 to inherit נַֽחֲלָ֗ה H5159 lot גּוֹרָ֤ל H1486 and one אֶחָ֔ד H259 portion וְחֶ֣בֶל H2256 and one אֶחָ֔ד H259 וַֽאֲנִ֣י H589 people עַם H5971 seeing I am a great רָ֔ב H7227 forasmuch as עַד H5704 אֲשֶׁר H834 forasmuch as עַד H5704 me hitherto כֹּ֖ה H3541 hath blessed בֵּֽרְכַ֥נִי H1288 the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 15 answered וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם H413 And Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ H3091 אִם H518 people עַם H5971 them If thou be a great רַ֤ב H7227 אַתָּה֙ H859 then get thee up עֲלֵ֣ה H5927 לְךָ֣ H0 to the wood הַיַּ֔עְרָה H3293 country and cut down וּבֵֽרֵאתָ֤ H1254 לְךָ֙ H0 שָׁ֔ם H8033 for thyself there in the land בְּאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of the Perizzites הַפְּרִזִּ֖י H6522 and of the giants וְהָֽרְפָאִ֑ים H7497 כִּי H3588 be too narrow אָ֥ץ H213 לְךָ֖ H0 if mount הַר H2022 Ephraim אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ H669 16 said וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 And the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Joseph יוֹסֵ֔ף H3130 לֹֽא H3808 is not enough יִמָּ֥צֵא H4672 לָ֖נוּ H0 The hill הָהָ֑ר H2022 have chariots וְרֶ֣כֶב H7393 of iron בַּרְזֶ֗ל H1270 בְּכָל H3605 for us and all the Canaanites הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ H3669 that dwell הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב H3427 in the land בְּאֶֽרֶץ H776 and they who are of the valley בְּעֵ֥מֶק H6010 לַֽאֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 בְּבֵית H0 both they who are of Bethshean שְׁאָן֙ H1052 and her towns וּבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ H1323 וְלַֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 and they who are of the valley בְּעֵ֥מֶק H6010 of Jezreel יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ H3157 17 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 And Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ H3091 אֶל H413 unto the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Joseph יוֹסֵ֔ף H3130 even to Ephraim לְאֶפְרַ֥יִם H669 and to Manasseh וְלִמְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 people עַם H5971 Thou art a great רַ֣ב H7227 אַתָּ֗ה H859 power וְכֹ֤חַ H3581 and hast great גָּדוֹל֙ H1419 לָ֔ךְ H0 לֹֽא H3808 יִהְיֶ֥ה H1961 לְךָ֖ H0 lot גּוֹרָ֥ל H1486 thou shalt not have one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 18 כִּ֣י H3588 But the mountain הַ֤ר H2022 יִֽהְיֶה H1961 לָּךְ֙ H0 כִּֽי H3588 shall be thine for it is a wood יַ֣עַר H3293 ה֔וּא H1931 and thou shalt cut it down וּבֵ֣רֵאת֔וֹ H1254 וְהָיָ֥ה H1961 לְךָ֖ H0 and the outgoings תֹּֽצְאֹתָ֑יו H8444 כִּֽי H3588 of it shall be thine for thou shalt drive out תוֹרִ֣ישׁ H3423 אֶת H853 the Canaanites הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֗י H3669 כִּ֣י H3588 chariots רֶ֤כֶב H7393 though they have iron בַּרְזֶל֙ H1270 ל֔וֹ H0 כִּ֥י
