וַֽחֲצִ֣י H2677 tribe שֵׁבֶט֩ H7626 of Manasseh הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֨ה H4519 שָׁ֤ם H8033 altar מִזְבֵּ֥חַ H4196 עַל H5921 by Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן H3383 altar מִזְבֵּ֥חַ H4196 a great גָּד֖וֹל H1419 to see to בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 12 heard וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֖וּ H8085 And when the children בְּנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 gathered themselves together וַיִּקָּ֨הֲל֜וּ H6950 כָּל H3605 the children בֶּן H1121 of Eleazar אֶלְעָזָ֥ר H499 the priest הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ H3548 14 And with him ten וַֽעֲשָׂרָ֤ה H6235 chief נָשִׂ֤יא H5387 עִמּ֔וֹ H5973 chief נָשִׂ֤יא H5387 of each אֶחָד֙ H259 chief בְּנֵי H1121 of Reuben רְאוּבֵ֧ן H7205 וְאֶל H413 and to the children בְּנֵי H1121 of Gad גָ֛ד H1410 וְאֶל H413 and to the half חֲצִ֥י H2677 tribe שֵֽׁבֶט H7626 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 אֶל H413 unto the land אֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Gilead הַגִּלְעָ֑ד H1568 and they spake וַיְדַבְּר֥וּ H1696 אִתָּ֖ם H854 with them saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 16 כֹּ֣ה H3541 Thus saith אָֽמְר֞וּ H559 כֹּ֣ל׀ H3605 the whole congregation עֲדַ֣ת H5712 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 מָֽה H4100 What trespass הַמַּ֤עַל H4604 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 is this that ye have committed מְעַלְתֶּם֙ H4603 against the God בֵּֽאלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 to turn away לָשׁ֣וּב H7725 this day הַיּ֖וֹם H3117 from following מֵאַֽחֲרֵ֖י H310 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 in that ye have builded בִּבְנֽוֹתְכֶ֤ם H1129 לָכֶם֙ H0 you an altar מִזְבֵּ֔חַ H4196 that ye might rebel לִמְרָדְכֶ֥ם H4775 this day הַיּ֖וֹם H3117 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 17 too little הַמְעַט H4592 לָ֙נוּ֙ H0 אֶת H853 Is the iniquity עֲוֹ֣ן H5771 of Peor פְּע֔וֹר H6465 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 for us from which we are not cleansed הִטַּהַ֙רְנוּ֙ H2891 מִמֶּ֔נּוּ H4480 עַ֖ד H5704 until this day הַיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 although there was a plague הַנֶּ֖גֶף H5063 in the congregation בַּֽעֲדַ֥ת H5712 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 18 וְאַתֶּם֙ H859 But that ye must turn away תָּשֻׁ֣בוּ H7725 this day הַיּוֹם֙ H3117 from following מֵאַֽחֲרֵ֖י H310 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 וְהָיָ֗ה H1961 אַתֶּ֞ם H859 and it will be seeing ye rebel תִּמְרְד֤וּ H4775 this day הַיּוֹם֙ H3117 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 that to morrow וּמָחָ֕ר H4279 אֶֽל H413 כָּל H3605 with the whole congregation עֲדַ֥ת H5712 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 he will be wroth יִקְצֹֽף׃ H7107 19 Notwithstanding וְאַ֨ךְ H389 אִם H518 be unclean טְמֵאָ֜ה H2931 if the land אֶ֨רֶץ H776 of the possession אֲחֻזַּ֤ת H272 then pass ye over עִבְר֨וּ H5674 לָכֶ֜ם H0 אֶל H413 if the land אֶ֨רֶץ H776 of Manasseh הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה H4519 and said וַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּ H1696 אֶת H853 unto the heads רָאשֵׁ֖י H7218 of the thousands אַלְפֵ֥י H505 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 22 God אֵ֣ל׀ H410 of gods אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ H430 The LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 God אֵ֣ל׀ H410 of gods אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ H430 The LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 ה֣וּא H1931 he knoweth יֵדָ֑ע H3045 and Israel וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 ה֣וּא H1931 he knoweth יֵדָ֑ע H3045 אִם H518 if it be in rebellion בְּמֶ֤רֶד H4777 וְאִם H518 or if in transgression בְּמַ֙עַל֙ H4604 The LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 אַל H408 save תּֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּ H3467 us not this day הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 23 That we have built לִבְנ֥וֹת H1129 לָ֙נוּ֙ H0 us an altar מִזְבֵּ֔חַ H4196 to turn לָשׁ֖וּב H7725 from following מֵאַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 וְאִם H518 or if to offer לְהַֽעֲל֨וֹת H5927 עָלָ֜יו H5921 thereon burnt offering עוֹלָ֣ה H5930 or meat offering וּמִנְחָ֗ה H4503 וְאִם H518 or if to offer לַֽעֲשׂ֤וֹת H6213 עָלָיו֙ H5921 offerings זִבְחֵ֣י H2077 peace שְׁלָמִ֔ים H8002 the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 ה֥וּא H1931 himself require יְבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ H1245 24 וְאִם H518 לֹ֤א H3808 it for fear מִדְּאָגָה֙ H1674 of this thing מִדָּבָ֔ר H1697 And if we have not rather done עָשִׂ֥ינוּ H6213 אֶת H853 זֹ֖את H2063 might speak לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 In time to come מָחָ֗ר H4279 might speak לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 unto our children לְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙ H1121 unto our children לְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙ H1121 might speak לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 מַה H4100 לָּכֶ֕ם H0 What have ye to do with the LORD וְלַֽיהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 25 a border וּגְב֣וּל H1366 hath made נָֽתַן H5414 For the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 בֵּינֵ֨נוּ H996 וּבֵֽינֵיכֶ֜ם H996 and children בָּנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 of Reuben רְאוּבֵ֤ן H7205 and children בָּנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 of Gad גָד֙ H1410 אֶת H853 Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן H3383 אֵין H369 לָכֶ֥ם H0 ye have no part חֵ֖לֶק H2506 For the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 cease וְהִשְׁבִּ֤יתוּ H7673 and children בָּנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 אֶת H853 and children בָּנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 from לְבִלְתִּ֖י H1115 fearing יְרֹ֥א H3372 אֶת H853 For the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 26 Therefore we said וַנֹּ֕אמֶר H559 Let us now prepare נַֽעֲשֶׂה H6213 נָּ֣א H4994 לָ֔נוּ H0 to build לִבְנ֖וֹת H1129 אֶת H853 us an altar הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ H4196 לֹ֥א H3808 not for burnt offering לְעוֹלָ֖ה H5930 וְלֹ֥א H3808 nor for sacrifice לְזָֽבַח׃ H2077 27 כִּי֩ H3588 But that it may be a witness עֵ֨ד H5707 ה֜וּא H1931 בֵּינֵ֣ינוּ H996 וּבֵֽינֵיכֶ֗ם H996 וּבֵ֣ין H996 between us and you and our generations דֹּֽרוֹתֵינוּ֮ H1755 after אַֽחֲרֵינוּ֒ H310 us that we might do לַֽעֲבֹ֞ד H5647 אֶת H853 the service עֲבֹדַ֤ת H5656 in the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 before לְפָנָ֔יו H6440 him with our burnt offerings בְּעֹֽלוֹתֵ֥ינוּ H5930 and with our sacrifices וּבִזְבָחֵ֖ינוּ H2077 and with our peace offerings וּבִשְׁלָמֵ֑ינוּ H8002 וְלֹֽא H3808 may not say יֹאמְר֨וּ H559 that your children לְבָנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 in time to come מָחָר֙ H4279 that your children לְבָנֵ֔ינוּ H1121 אֵין H369 לָכֶ֥ם H0 Ye have no part חֵ֖לֶק H2506 in the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 28 Therefore said וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ H559 וְהָיָ֗ה H1961 כִּֽי H3588 Therefore said וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ H559 אֵלֵ֛ינוּ H413 וְאֶל H413 to us or to our generations דֹּֽרֹתֵ֖ינוּ H1755 in time to come מָחָ֑ר H4279 Therefore said וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ H559 again Behold רְא֣וּ H7200 אֶת H853 the pattern תַּבְנִית֩ H8403 of the altar מִזְבַּ֨ח H4196 of the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 אֲשֶׁר H834 made עָשׂ֣וּ H6213 which our fathers אֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ H1 לֹ֤א H3808 not for burnt offerings לְעוֹלָה֙ H5930 וְלֹ֣א H3808 nor for sacrifices לְזֶ֔בַח H2077 כִּי H3588 but it is a witness עֵ֣ד H5707 ה֔וּא H1931 בֵּינֵ֖ינוּ H996 וּבֵֽינֵיכֶֽם׃ H996 29 God forbid חָלִילָה֩ H2486 לָּ֨נוּ H0 מִמֶּ֜נּוּ H4480 that we should rebel לִמְרֹ֣ד H4775 against the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 and turn וְלָשׁ֤וּב H7725 this day הַיּוֹם֙ H3117 from following מֵאַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 against the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 to build לִבְנ֣וֹת H1129 an altar מִזְבַּח֙ H4196 for burnt offerings לְעֹלָ֖ה H5930 for meat offerings לְמִנְחָ֣ה H4503 or for sacrifices וּלְזָ֑בַח H2077 מִלְּבַ֗ד H905 an altar מִזְבַּח֙ H4196 against the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 our God אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ H430 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 that is before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 his tabernacle מִשְׁכָּנֽוֹ׃ H4908 30 which were with and to the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Gad גָ֜ד H1410 וְאֶל H413 and to the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה H4519 This day הַיּ֤וֹם׀ H3117 we perceive יָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ H3045 כִּֽי H3588 is among בְתוֹכֵ֣נוּ H8432 against the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 אֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 us because ye have not committed מְעַלְתֶּ֥ם H4603 against the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 this trespass הַמַּ֣עַל H4604 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 now אָ֗ז H227 ye have delivered הִצַּלְתֶּ֛ם H5337 אֶת H853 and to the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 out of the hand מִיַּ֥ד H3027 against the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 32 again וַיָּשִׁ֥בוּ H7725 And Phinehas פִּֽינְחָ֣ס H6372 and from the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Eleazar אֶלְעָזָ֣ר H499 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֣ן׀ H3548 and the princes וְהַנְּשִׂיאִ֡ים H5387 מֵאֵ֣ת H853 and from the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Reuben רְאוּבֵן֩ H7205 וּמֵאֵ֨ת H853 and from the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Gad גָ֜ד H1410 out of the land אֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Gilead הַגִּלְעָ֛ד H1568 אֶל H413 out of the land אֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Canaan כְּנַ֖עַן H3667 אֶל H413 and from the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 again וַיָּשִׁ֥בוּ H7725 אוֹתָ֖ם H854 them word דָּבָֽר׃ H1697 33 pleased וַיִּיטַ֣ב H776 אֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 and the children וּבְנֵי H1121 of Reuben רְאוּבֵ֥ן H7205 and the children וּבְנֵי H1121 and Gad גָ֖ד H1410 dwelt יֹֽשְׁבִ֥ים H3427 בָּֽהּ׃ H0 34 called וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ H7121 And the children וּבְנֵי H1121 of Reuben רְאוּבֵ֥ן H7205 And the children וּבְנֵי H1121 of Gad גָ֖ד H1410 the altar לַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ H4196 כִּ֣י H3588 Ed for it shall be a witness עֵ֥ד H5707 הוּא֙ H1931
