children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 and lodged וַיָּלִ֥נוּ H3885 שָׁ֖ם H8033 טֶ֥רֶם H2962 there before they passed over יַֽעֲבֹֽרוּ׃ H5674 2 וַיְהִ֕י H1961 And it came to pass after מִקְצֵ֖ה H7097 three שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֑ים H3117 went וַיַּֽעַבְר֥וּ H5674 that the officers הַשֹּֽׁטְרִ֖ים H7860 through בְּקֶ֥רֶב H7130 the host הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ H4264 3 And they commanded H3548 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 And they took up וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ H5375 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the covenant הַבְּרִ֔ית H1285 and pass over וְעִבְר֖וּ H5674 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 And they took up וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ H5375 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the covenant הַבְּרִ֔ית H1285 וַיֵּֽלְכ֖וּ H1980 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 7 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 אֶל H413 unto Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ H3091 This day הַיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַזֶּ֗ה H2088 will I begin אָחֵל֙ H2490 to magnify גַּדֶּלְךָ֔ H1431 thee in the sight בְּעֵינֵ֖י H5869 כָּל H3605 of all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 that they may know יֵֽדְע֔וּן H3045 כִּ֗י H3588 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 הָיִ֛יתִי H1961 עִם H5973 that as I was with Moses מֹשֶׁ֖ה H4872 אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה H1961 עִמָּֽךְ׃ H5973 8 וְאַתָּ֗ה H859 And thou shalt command תְּצַוֶּה֙ H6680 אֶת H853 the priests הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים H3548 that bear נֹֽשְׂאֵ֥י H5375 the ark אֲרֽוֹן H727 of the covenant הַבְּרִ֖ית H1285 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H3669 וְאֶת H853 and the Hittites הַֽחִתִּ֜י H2850 וְאֶת H853 and the Hivites הַֽחִוִּ֗י H2340 וְאֶת H853 and the Perizzites הַפְּרִזִּי֙ H6522 וְאֶת H853 and the Girgashites הַגִּרְגָּשִׁ֔י H1622 and the Amorites וְהָֽאֱמֹרִ֖י H567 and the Jebusites וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ H2983 11 הִנֵּה֙ H2009 Behold the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the covenant הַבְּרִ֔ית H1285 of the Lord אֲד֖וֹן H113 כָּל H3605 of all the earth הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 passeth over עֹבֵ֥ר H5674 before לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם H6440 you into Jordan בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ H3383 12 וְעַתָּ֗ה H6258 Now therefore take קְח֤וּ H3947 לָכֶם֙ H0 you twelve שְׁנֵ֣י H8147 And it came to pass when the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 15 were come וּכְב֞וֹא H935 And as they that bare נֹֽשְׂאֵ֣י H5375 the ark הָֽאָר֔וֹן H727 עַד H5704 for Jordan וְהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן H3383 and the feet וְרַגְלֵ֤י H7272 of the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 And as they that bare נֹֽשְׂאֵ֣י H5375 the ark הָֽאָר֔וֹן H727 were dipped נִטְבְּל֖וּ H2881 in the brim בִּקְצֵ֣ה H7097 of the water הַמָּ֑יִם H4325 for Jordan וְהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן H3383 overfloweth מָלֵא֙ H4390 עַל H5921 כָּל H3605 all his banks גְּדוֹתָ֔יו H1415 כֹּ֖ל H3605 all the time יְמֵ֥י H3117 of harvest קָצִֽיר׃ H7105 16 stood וַיַּֽעַמְד֡וּ H5975 That the waters הַמַּיִם֩ H4325 and those that came down וְהַיֹּֽרְדִ֗ים H3381 from above מִלְמַ֜עְלָה H4605 and rose up קָ֣מוּ H6965 heap נֵד H5067 upon an אֶחָ֗ד H259 far הַרְחֵ֨ק H7368 very מְאֹ֜ד H3966 Adam בֵֽאָדָ֤ם H121 from the city הָעִיר֙ H5892 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 that is beside מִצַּ֣ד H6654 Zaretan צָֽרְתָ֔ן H6891 and those that came down וְהַיֹּֽרְדִ֗ים H3381 עַ֣ל H5921 sea יָם H3220 of the plain הָֽעֲרָבָ֛ה H6160 sea יָם H3220 even the salt הַמֶּ֖לַח H4417 failed תַּ֣מּוּ H8552 and were cut off נִכְרָ֑תוּ H3772 and the people וְהָעָ֥ם H5971 passed over עָֽבְר֖וּ H5674 נֶ֥גֶד H5048 right against Jericho יְרִיחֽוֹ׃ H3405 17 stood וַיַּֽעַמְד֣וּ H5975 And the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֡ים H3548 that bare נֹֽ֠שְׂאֵי H5375 the ark הָֽאָר֨וֹן H727 of the covenant בְּרִית H1285 of the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 on dry ground בֶּחָ֣רָבָ֔ה H2724 in the midst בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ H3383 firm הָכֵ֑ן H3559 וְכָל H3605 and all the Israelites יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478
