מַלְאֲכֵ֣י H4397 of Jephthah יִפְתָּ֗ח H3316 כִּֽי H3588 took away לָקַ֨ח H3947 Because Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל H3478 אֶת H853 my land אַרְצִי֙ H776 when they came up בַּֽעֲלוֹת֣וֹ H5927 out of Egypt מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם H4714 from Arnon מֵֽאַרְנ֥וֹן H769 וְעַד H5704 even unto Jabbok הַיַּבֹּ֖ק H2999 וְעַד H5704 and unto Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן H3383 וְעַתָּ֕ה H6258 now therefore restore those lands again came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 to Kadesh קָדֵֽשָׁה׃ H6946 17 sent שָׁלַ֖ח H7971 Then Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 messengers מַלְאָכִ֣ים׀ H4397 אֶל H413 but the king מֶ֧לֶךְ H4428 of Edom אֱד֔וֹם H123 saying לֵאמֹ֜ר H559 Let me I pray thee pass through אֶעְבְּרָה H5674 נָּ֣א H4994 thy land בְאַרְצֶ֗ךָ H776 וְלֹ֤א H3808 would not hearken שָׁמַע֙ H8085 but the king מֶ֧לֶךְ H4428 of Edom אֱד֔וֹם H123 וְגַ֨ם H1571 אֶל H413 but the king מֶ֧לֶךְ H4428 of Moab מוֹאָ֛ב H4124 sent שָׁלַ֖ח H7971 וְלֹ֣א H3808 but he would אָבָ֑ה H14 abode וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב H3427 Then Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 in Kadesh בְּקָדֵֽשׁ׃ H6946 18 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ H1980 through the wilderness בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר H4057 and compassed וַיָּ֜סָב H5437 אֶת H853 and the land לְאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Edom אֱדוֹם֙ H123 וְאֶת H853 and the land לְאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Moab מוֹאָֽב׃ H4124 and came בָ֙אוּ֙ H935 by the east side מִמִּזְרַח H4217 שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ H8121 and the land לְאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Moab מוֹאָֽב׃ H4124 and pitched וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּן H2583 on the other side בְּעֵ֣בֶר H5676 for Arnon אַרְנ֖וֹן H769 וְלֹֽא H3808 and came בָ֙אוּ֙ H935 not within the border גְּב֥וּל H1366 of Moab מוֹאָֽב׃ H4124 כִּ֥י H3588 for Arnon אַרְנ֖וֹן H769 not within the border גְּב֥וּל H1366 of Moab מוֹאָֽב׃ H4124 19 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 And Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 messengers מַלְאָכִ֔ים H4397 אֶל H413 unto Sihon סִיח֥וֹן H5511 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of the Amorites הָאֱמֹרִ֖י H567 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Heshbon חֶשְׁבּ֑וֹן H2809 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 And Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 unto him Let us pass נַעְבְּרָה H5674 נָּ֥א H4994 we pray thee through thy land בְאַרְצְךָ֖ H776 into עַד H5704 my place מְקוֹמִֽי׃ H4725 20 וְלֹֽא H3808 trusted הֶאֱמִ֨ין H539 But Sihon סִיחוֹן֙ H5511 אֶת H853 against Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 to pass עֲבֹ֣ר H5674 through his coast בִּגְבֻל֔וֹ H1366 gathered וַיֶּֽאֱסֹ֤ף H622 But Sihon סִיחוֹן֙ H5511 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all his people עַמּ֔וֹ H5971 and pitched וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ H2583 in Jahaz בְּיָ֑הְצָה H3096 and fought וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם H3898 עִם H5973 against Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 21 delivered וַ֠יִּתֵּן H5414 And the LORD יְהוָ֨ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵֽי H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אֶת H853 Sihon סִיח֧וֹן H5511 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and all his people עַמּ֛וֹ H5971 into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and they smote וַיַּכּ֑וּם H5221 possessed וַיִּירַשׁ֙ H3423 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אֵ֚ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the land הָאָ֥רֶץ H776 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י H567 the inhabitants יוֹשֵׁ֖ב H3427 all the land הָאָ֥רֶץ H776 הַהִֽיא׃ H1931 22 And they possessed וַיִּ֣ירְשׁ֔וּ H3423 אֵ֖ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the coasts גְּב֣וּל H1366 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֑י H567 from Arnon מֵֽאַרְנוֹן֙ H769 וְעַד H5704 even unto Jabbok הַיַּבֹּ֔ק H2999 וּמִן H4480 and from the wilderness הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר H4057 וְעַד H5704 even unto Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ H3383 23 וְעַתָּ֞ה H6258 So now the LORD יְהוָ֣ה׀ H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 and shouldest thou possess תִּֽירָשֶֽׁנּוּ׃ H3423 אֶת H853 the Amorites הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י H567 from before מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 his people עַמּ֣וֹ H5971 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 וְאַתָּ֖ה H859 and shouldest thou possess תִּֽירָשֶֽׁנּוּ׃ H3423 24 הֲלֹ֞א H3808 אֵ֣ת H853 H7971 אֵלָֽיו׃ H413 29 וַתְּהִ֤י H1961 עַל H5921 came upon Jephthah יִפְתָּח֙ H3316 Then the Spirit ר֣וּחַ H7307 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 and he passed over עָבַ֖ר H5674 אֶת H853 Gilead גִלְעָ֔ד וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 אִם H518 If thou shalt without fail תִּתֵּ֛ן H5414 If thou shalt without fail תִּתֵּ֛ן H5414 אֶת H853 the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Ammon עַמּ֖וֹן H5983 into mine hands בְּיָדִֽי׃ H3027 31 וְהָיָ֣ה H1961 Then it shall be that whatsoever יֵצֵ֜א H3318 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 Then it shall be that whatsoever יֵצֵ֜א H3318 of the doors מִדַּלְתֵ֤י H1817 of my house בֵיתִי֙ H1004 to meet לִקְרָאתִ֔י H7125 me when I return בְּשׁוּבִ֥י H7725 in peace בְשָׁל֖וֹם H7965 from the children מִבְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Ammon עַמּ֑וֹן H5983 וְהָיָה֙ H1961 shall surely be the LORD'S לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 and I will offer it up וְהַֽעֲלִיתִ֖יהוּ H5927 for a burnt offering עוֹלָֽה׃ H5930 32 passed over וַיַּֽעֲבֹ֥ר H5674 So Jephthah יִפְתָּ֛ח H3316 אֶל H413 unto the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Ammon עַמּ֖וֹן H5983 to fight לְהִלָּ֣חֶם H3898 בָּ֑ם H0 delivered וַיִּתְּנֵ֥ם H5414 against them and the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 them into his hands בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ H3027 33 And he smote וַיַּכֵּ֡ם H5221 them from Aroer מֵֽעֲרוֹעֵר֩ H6177 וְעַד H5704 even till thou come בֹּֽאֲךָ֙ H935 to Minnith מִנִּ֜ית H4511 even twenty עֶשְׂרִ֣ים H6242 cities עִ֗יר H5892 וְעַד֙ H5704 and unto the plain אָבֵ֣ל H58 of the vineyards כְּרָמִ֔ים H3754 slaughter מַכָּ֖ה H4347 great גְּדוֹלָ֣ה H1419 with a very מְאֹ֑ד H3966 were subdued וַיִּכָּֽנְעוּ֙ H3665 Thus the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Ammon עַמּ֔וֹן H5983 before מִפְּנֵ֖י H2009 and behold his daughter בַֽת׃ H1323 came out יֹצֵ֣את H3318 to meet לִקְרָאת֔וֹ H7125 him with timbrels בְתֻפִּ֖ים H8596 and with dances וּבִמְחֹל֑וֹת H4246 וְרַק֙ H7535 הִ֣יא H1931 and she was
