son in law חֲתַ֣ן H2860 of the Timnite הַתִּמְנִ֔י H8554 כִּ֚י H3588 because he had taken לָקַ֣ח H3947 אֶת H853 his wife אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ H802 and given וַֽיִּתְּנָ֖הּ H5414 her to his companion לְמֵֽרֵעֵ֑הוּ H4828 came up וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ H5927 And the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים H6430 and burnt וַיִּשְׂרְפ֥וּ H8313 אוֹתָ֛הּ H853 וְאֶת H853 her and her father אָבִ֖יהָ H1 with fire בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ H784 7 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לָהֶם֙ H0 And Samson שִׁמְשׁ֔וֹן H8123 unto them Though אִם H518 ye have done תַּעֲשׂ֖וּן H6213 this כָּזֹ֑את H2063 כִּ֛י H3588 unto them Though אִם H518 yet will I be avenged נִקַּ֥מְתִּי H5358 בָכֶ֖ם H0 of you and after וְאַחַ֥ר H310 that I will cease אֶחְדָּֽל׃ H2308 8 And he smote וַיַּ֨ךְ H5221 אוֹתָ֥ם H853 them hip שׁ֛וֹק H7785 and עַל H5921 thigh יָרֵ֖ךְ H3409 slaughter מַכָּ֣ה H4347 with a great גְדוֹלָ֑ה H1419 and he went down וַיֵּ֣רֶד H3381 and dwelt וַיֵּ֔שֶׁב H3427 in the top בִּסְעִ֖יף H5585 of the rock סֶ֥לַע H5553 Etam עֵיטָֽם׃ H5862 9 went up וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ H5927 Then the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים H6430 and pitched וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ H2583 in Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֑ה H3063 and spread וַיִּנָּֽטְשׁ֖וּ H5203 themselves in Lehi בַּלֶּֽחִי׃ H3896 10 against us And they answered וַיֹּֽאמְר֗וּ H559 And the men אִ֣ישׁ H376 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 לָמָ֖ה H4100 Why are ye come up עָלִ֔ינוּ H5927 עָלֵ֑ינוּ H5921 against us And they answered וַיֹּֽאמְר֗וּ H559 To bind לֶֽאֱס֤וֹר H631 אֶת H853 Samson שִׁמְשׁוֹן֙ H8123 Why are ye come up עָלִ֔ינוּ H5927 to do עָ֥שָׂה H6213 ל֔וֹ H0 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 to do עָ֥שָׂה H6213 לָֽנוּ׃ H0 11 went וַיֵּֽרְד֡וּ H3381 Then three שְׁלֹשֶׁת֩ H7969 thousand אֲלָפִ֨ים H505 men אִ֜ישׁ H376 of Judah מִֽיהוּדָ֗ה H3063 אֶל H413 to the top סְעִיף֮ H5585 of the rock סֶ֣לַע H5553 Etam עֵיטָם֒ H5862 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 to Samson לְשִׁמְשׁ֗וֹן H8123 הֲלֹ֤א H3808 Knowest יָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ H3045 כִּֽי H3588 are rulers מֹשְׁלִ֥ים H4910 בָּ֙נוּ֙ H0 thou not that the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים H6430 וּמַה H4100 זֹּ֖את H2063 over us what is this that thou hast done עָשִׂ֥יתִי H6213 לָּ֑נוּ H0 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 לָהֶ֔ם H0 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ H834 over us what is this that thou hast done עָשִׂ֥יתִי H6213 לִ֔י H0 כֵּ֖ן H3651 over us what is this that thou hast done עָשִׂ֥יתִי H6213 לָהֶֽם׃ H0 12 And they said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 to bind לֶֽאֱסָרְךָ֣ H631 unto him We are come down יָרַ֔דְנוּ H3381 thee that we may deliver לְתִתְּךָ֖ H5414 thee into the hand בְּיַד H3027 of the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים H6430 And they said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לָהֶם֙ H0 And Samson שִׁמְשׁ֔וֹן H8123 unto them Swear הִשָּֽׁבְע֣וּ H7650 לִ֔י H0 פֶּֽן H6435 unto me that ye will not fall upon תִּפְגְּע֥וּן H6293 בִּ֖י H0 אַתֶּֽם׃ H859 13 And they spake לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 ל֣וֹ H0 And they spake לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 לֹ֚א H3808 כִּֽי H3588 No but we will bind וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֗הוּ H631 No but we will bind וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֗הוּ H631 and deliver וּנְתַנּ֣וּךָ H5414 thee into their hand בְיָדָ֔ם H3027 but surely נְמִיתֶ֑ךָ H4191 לֹ֣א H3808 but surely נְמִיתֶ֑ךָ H4191 No but we will bind וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֗הוּ H631 him with two בִּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙ H8147 cords עֲבֹתִ֣ים H5688 new חֲדָשִׁ֔ים H2319 and brought him up וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּהוּ H5927 מִן H4480 from the rock הַסָּֽלַע׃ H5553 14 הוּא H1931 And when he came בָ֣א H935 עַד H5704 unto Lehi לֶ֔חִי H3896 the Philistines וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 shouted הֵרִ֣יעוּ H7321 against לִקְרָאת֑וֹ H7125 came mightily וַתִּצְלַ֨ח H6743 עָלָ֜יו H5921 him and the Spirit ר֣וּחַ H7307 of the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 וַתִּֽהְיֶ֨ינָה H1961 upon him and the cords הָֽעֲבֹתִ֜ים H5688 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 עַל H5921 that were upon his arms זְרֽוֹעוֹתָ֗יו H2220 became as flax כַּפִּשְׁתִּים֙ H6593 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that was burnt בָּֽעֲר֣וּ H1197 with fire בָאֵ֔שׁ H784 loosed וַיִּמַּ֥סּוּ H4549 and his bands אֱסוּרָ֖יו H612 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 from off his hands יָדָֽיו׃ H3027 15 And he found וַיִּמְצָ֥א H4672 jawbone לְחִֽי H3895 of an ass חֲמ֖וֹר H2543 a new טְרִיָּ֑ה H2961 and put forth וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 his hand יָדוֹ֙ H3027 and took וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ H3947 it and slew וַיַּךְ H5221 בָּ֖הּ H0 a thousand אֶ֥לֶף H505 men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 16 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Samson שִׁמְשׁ֔וֹן H8123 With the jawbone בִּלְחִ֣י H3895 of an ass הַֽחֲמ֔וֹר H2543 heaps וַיִּקְרָ֛א H7121 that place לַמָּק֥וֹם H4725 הַה֖וּא H1931 רָ֥מַת H0 Ramathlehi לֶֽחִי׃ H7437 18 athirst וַיִּצְמָא֮ H6770 And he was sore מְאֹד֒ H3966 and called וַיִּקְרָ֤א H7121 אֶל H413 on the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 and said וַיֹּאמַ֔ר H559 אַתָּה֙ H859 Thou hast given נָתַ֣תָּ H5414 into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 of thy servant עַבְדְּךָ֔ H5650 אֶת H853 deliverance הַתְּשׁוּעָ֥ה H8668 this great הַגְּדֹלָ֖ה H1419 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 וְעַתָּה֙ H6258 and now shall I die אָמ֣וּת H4191 for thirst בַּצָּמָ֔א H6772 and fall וְנָֽפַלְתִּ֖י H5307 into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 of the uncircumcised הָֽעֲרֵלִֽים׃ H6189 19 clave וַיִּבְקַ֨ע H1234 But God אֱלֹהִ֜ים H430 אֶת H853 an hollow place הַמַּכְתֵּ֣שׁ H4388 אֲשֶׁר H834 that was in the jaw בַּלֶּ֗חִי H3895 and there came וַיֵּֽצְא֨וּ H3318 מִמֶּ֤נּוּ H4480 water מַ֙יִם֙ H4325 thereout and when he had drunk וַיֵּ֔שְׁתְּ H8354 came again וַתָּ֥שָׁב H7725 his spirit רוּח֖וֹ H7307 and he revived וַיֶּ֑חִי H2421 עַל H5921 כֵּ֣ן׀ H3651 wherefore he called קָרָ֣א H7121 the name שְׁמָ֗הּ H8034 עֵ֤ין H0 thereof Enhakkore הַקּוֹרֵא֙ H5875 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which is in Lehi בַּלֶּ֔חִי H3896 עַ֖ד H5704 unto this day הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַזֶּֽה׃
