לַנּֽוֹתָרִ֖ים H3498 for wives לְנָשִֽׁים׃ H802 וַֽאֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ H587 seeing we have sworn נִשְׁבַּ֣עְנוּ H7650 by the LORD בַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 לְבִלְתִּ֛י H1115 that we will not give תֵּת H5414 לָהֶ֥ם H0 אִ֧ישׁ H376 אֶל H413 to the camp הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֛ה H4264 from Jabeshgilead מִיָּבֵ֥ישׁ H3003 גִּלְעָ֖ד H1568 אֶל H413 to the assembly הַקָּהָֽל׃ H6951 9 were numbered וַיִּתְפָּקֵ֖ד H6485 For the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 וְהִנֵּ֤ה H2009 אֵֽין H369 שָׁם֙ H8033 and behold there were none אִ֔ישׁ H376 of the inhabitants מִיּֽוֹשְׁבֵ֖י H3427 of Jabeshgilead יָבֵ֥שׁ H3003 גִּלְעָֽד׃ H1568 10 sent וַיִּשְׁלְחוּ H7971 שָׁ֣ם H8033 And the congregation הָֽעֵדָ֗ה H5712 thither twelve שְׁנֵים H8147 עָשָׂ֥ר H6240 thousand אֶ֛לֶף H505 men אִ֖ישׁ H376 of the valiantest מִבְּנֵ֣י H1121 הֶחָ֑יִל H2428 and commanded וַיְצַוּ֨וּ H6680 אוֹתָ֜ם H853 them saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 לְ֠כוּ H1980 and smite וְהִכִּיתֶ֞ם H5221 אֶת H853 the inhabitants יֽוֹשְׁבֵ֨י H3427 of Jabeshgilead יָבֵ֤שׁ H3003 גִּלְעָד֙ H1568 with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חֶ֔רֶב H2719 with the women וְהַנָּשִׁ֖ים H802 and the children וְהַטָּֽף׃ H2945 11 וְזֶ֥ה H2088 And this is the thing הַדָּבָ֖ר H1697 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that ye shall do תַּֽעֲשׂ֑וּ H6213 כָּל H3605 every male זָכָ֖ר H2145 וְכָל H3605 and every woman אִשָּׁ֛ה H802 by man יֹדַ֥עַת H3045 that hath lain מִשְׁכַּב H4904 every male זָכָ֖ר H2145 Ye shall utterly destroy תַּֽחֲרִֽימוּ׃ H2763 12 And they found וַֽיִּמְצְא֞וּ H4672 among the inhabitants מִיּֽוֹשְׁבֵ֣י׀ H3427 of Jabeshgilead יָבֵ֣ישׁ H3003 גִּלְעָ֗ד H1568 four אַרְבַּ֤ע H702 hundred מֵאוֹת֙ H3967 young נַֽעֲרָ֣ה H5291 virgins בְתוּלָ֔ה H1330 אֲשֶׁ֧ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 that had known יָדְעָ֛ה H3045 no man אִ֖ישׁ H376 by lying לְמִשְׁכַּ֣ב H4904 with any male זָכָ֑ר H2145 and they brought וַיָּבִ֨אוּ H935 אוֹתָ֤ם H853 אֶל H413 them unto the camp הַֽמַּחֲנֶה֙ H4264 to Shiloh שִׁלֹ֔ה H7887 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 which is in the land בְּאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Canaan כְּנָֽעַן׃ H3667 13 sent וַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙ H7971 כָּל H3605 And the whole congregation הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה H5712 some to speak וַֽיְדַבְּרוּ֙ H1696 אֶל H413 to the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Benjamin בִנְיָמִ֔ן H1144 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 that were in the rock בְּסֶ֣לַע H5553 Rimmon רִמּ֑וֹן H7417 and to call וַיִּקְרְא֥וּ H7121 לָהֶ֖ם H0 peaceably שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 14 came again וַיָּ֤שָׁב H7725 And Benjamin בִּנְיָמִן֙ H1144 at that time בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֔יא H1931 and they gave וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ H5414 לָהֶם֙ H0 of the women מִנְּשֵׁ֖י H802 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which they had saved alive חִיּ֔וּ H2421 of the women מִנְּשֵׁ֖י H802 of Jabeshgilead יָבֵ֣שׁ H3003 גִּלְעָ֑ד H1568 וְלֹֽא H3808 and yet so they sufficed מָצְא֥וּ H4672 לָהֶ֖ם H0 כֵּֽן׃ H3651 15 And the people וְהָעָ֥ם H5971 repented נִחָ֖ם H5162 them for Benjamin לְבִנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 כִּֽי H3588 had made עָשָׂ֧ה H6213 because that the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 a breach פֶּ֖רֶץ H6556 in the tribes בְּשִׁבְטֵ֥י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 16 said וַיֹּֽאמְר֨וּ H559 Then the elders זִקְנֵ֣י H2205 of the congregation הָֽעֵדָ֔ה H5712 מַה H4100 How shall we do נַּֽעֲשֶׂ֥ה H6213 for them that remain לַנּֽוֹתָרִ֖ים H3498 for wives אִשָּֽׁה׃ H802 כִּֽי H3588 are destroyed נִשְׁמְדָ֥ה H8045 out of Benjamin מִבִּנְיָמִ֖ן H1144 for wives אִשָּֽׁה׃ H802 17 And they said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 There must be an inheritance יְרֻשַּׁ֥ת H3425 for them that be escaped פְּלֵיטָ֖ה H6413 of Benjamin לְבִנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 וְלֹֽא H3808 be not destroyed יִמָּחֶ֥ה H4229 that a tribe שֵׁ֖בֶט H7626 out of Israel מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 18 וַֽאֲנַ֗חְנוּ H587 לֹ֥א H3808 Howbeit we may נוּכַ֛ל H3201 be he that giveth נֹתֵ֥ן H5414 לָהֶ֥ם H0 a wife אִשָּׁ֖ה H802 of our daughters מִבְּנוֹתֵ֑ינוּ H1323 כִּֽי H3588 have sworn נִשְׁבְּע֤וּ H7650 for the children בְנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 Cursed אָר֕וּר H779 be he that giveth נֹתֵ֥ן H5414 a wife אִשָּׁ֖ה H802 to Benjamin לְבִנְיָמִֽן׃ H1144 19 Then they said וַיֹּֽאמְר֡וּ H559 הִנֵּה֩ H2009 Behold there is a feast חַג H2282 of the LORD יְהוָ֨ה H3068 in Shiloh בְּשִׁל֜וֹ H7887 yearly יָמִ֗ימָה H3117 yearly יָמִ֗ימָה H3117 אֲשֶׁ֞ר H834 in a place which is on the north side מִצְּפ֤וֹנָה H6828 לְבֵֽית H0 from Bethel אֵ֖ל H1008 on the east side מִזְרְחָ֣ה H4217 הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ H8121 of the highway לִ֨מְסִלָּ֔ה H4546 that goeth up הָֽעֹלָ֥ה H5927 מִבֵּֽית H0 from Bethel אֵ֖ל H1008 to Shechem שְׁכֶ֑מָה H7927 and on the south וּמִנֶּ֖גֶב H5045 of Lebonah לִלְבוֹנָֽה׃ H3829 20 Therefore they commanded וַיצַוֻּ֕ H6680 אֶת H853 the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Benjamin בִנְיָמִ֖ן H1144 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 לְכ֖וּ H1980 and lie in wait וַֽאֲרַבְתֶּ֥ם H693 in the vineyards בַּכְּרָמִֽים׃ H3754 21 And see וּרְאִיתֶ֗ם H7200 וְ֠הִנֵּה H2009 אִם H518 come out וִֽיצָאתֶם֙ H3318 and behold if the daughters מִבְּנ֣וֹת H1323 of Shiloh שִׁיל֑וֹ H7887 to dance לָח֣וּל H2342 in dances בַּמְּחֹלוֹת֒ H4246 come out וִֽיצָאתֶם֙ H3318 מִן H4480 of the vineyards הַכְּרָמִ֔ים H3754 and catch וַֽחֲטַפְתֶּ֥ם H2414 לָכֶ֛ם H0 you every man אִ֥ישׁ H376 his wife אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ H802 and behold if the daughters מִבְּנ֣וֹת H1323 of Shiloh שִׁיל֑וֹ H7887 and go וַֽהֲלַכְתֶּ֖ם H1980 to the land אֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִֽן׃ H1144 22 וְהָיָ֡ה H1961 כִּֽי H3588 come יָבֹ֣אוּ H935 And it shall be when their fathers אֲבוֹתָם֩ H1 א֨וֹ H176 or their brethren אֲחֵיהֶ֜ם H251 unto us to complain לָרִ֣וֹב׀ H7378 אֵלֵ֗ינוּ H413 that we will say וְאָמַ֤רְנוּ H559 אֲלֵיהֶם֙ H413 unto them Be favourable חָנּ֣וּנוּ H2603 אוֹתָ֔ם H853 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֥א H3808 unto them for our sakes because we reserved לָקַ֛חְנוּ H3947 not to each man אִ֥ישׁ H376 his wife אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ H802 in the war בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה H4421 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֥א H3808 אַתֶּ֛ם H859 for ye did not give נְתַתֶּ֥ם H5414 לָהֶ֖ם H0 unto them at this time כָּעֵ֥ת H6256 that ye should be guilty תֶּאְשָֽׁמוּ׃ H816 23 did so וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ H6213 כֵן֙ H3651 And the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Benjamin בִנְיָמִ֔ן H1144 and took וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ H5375 them wives נָשִׁים֙ H802 according to their number לְמִסְפָּרָ֔ם H4557 מִן H4480 of them that danced הַמְּחֹֽלְל֖וֹת H2342 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 whom they caught גָּזָ֑לוּ H1497 וַיֵּֽלְכ֗וּ H1980 and returned וַיָּשׁ֙וּבוּ֙ H7725 אֶל H413 unto their inheritance נַ֣חֲלָתָ֔ם H5159 and repaired וַיִּבְנוּ֙ H1129 אֶת H853 the cities הֶ֣עָרִ֔ים H5892 and dwelt וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ H3427 בָּהֶֽם׃ H0 24 departed וַיִּתְהַלְּכ֨וּ H1980 מִשָּׁ֤ם H8033 And the children בְּנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 thence at that time בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֔יא H1931 every man אִ֖ישׁ H376 to his tribe לְשִׁבְט֖וֹ H7626 and to his family וּלְמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֑וֹ H4940 and they went out וַיֵּֽצְא֣וּ H3318 מִשָּׁ֔ם H8033 every man אִ֖ישׁ H376 to his inheritance לְנַֽחֲלָתֽוֹ׃ H5159 25 In those days בַּיָּמִ֣ים H3117 הָהֵ֔ם H1992 אֵ֥ין H369 there was no king מֶ֖לֶךְ H4428
