הָֽאֵלָה֙ H424 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which was in Ophrah בְּעָפְרָ֔ה H6084 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that pertained unto Joash לְיוֹאָ֖שׁ H3101 אֲבִ֣י H0 the Abiezrite הָֽעֶזְרִ֑י H33 Gideon וְגִדְע֣וֹן H1439 and his son בְּנ֗וֹ H1121 threshed חֹבֵ֤ט H2251 wheat חִטִּים֙ H2406 by the winepress בַּגַּ֔ת H1660 to hide לְהָנִ֖יס H5127 it from מִפְּנֵ֥י H6440 the Midianites מִדְיָֽן׃ H4080 12 appeared וַיֵּרָ֥א H7200 אֵלָ֖יו H413 And the angel מַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 unto him and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֵלָ֔יו H413 of the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 עִמְּךָ֖ H5973 is with thee thou mighty גִּבּ֥וֹר H1368 אֲדֹנָ֔י H136 wherewith בַּמָּ֥ה H4100 shall I save אוֹשִׁ֖יעַ H3467 אֶת H853 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 behold my family אַלְפִּי֙ H504 is poor הַדַּ֣ל H1800 in Manasseh בִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔ה H4519 וְאָֽנֹכִ֥י H595 and I am the least הַצָּעִ֖יר H6810 house בְּבֵ֥ית H1004 in my father's אָבִֽי׃ H1 16 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 And the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 כִּ֥י H3588 אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה H1961 עִמָּ֑ךְ H5973 unto him Surely I will be with thee and thou shalt smite וְהִכִּיתָ֥ H5221 אֶת H853 the Midianites מִדְיָ֖ן H4080 man כְּאִ֥ישׁ H376 as one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 17 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֵלָ֔יו H413 אִם H518 נָ֛א H4994 unto him If now I have found מָצָ֥אתִי H4672 grace חֵ֖ן H2580 in thy sight בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ H5869 then shew וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ H6213 לִּי֙ H0 me a sign א֔וֹת H226 שָֽׁאַתָּ֖ה H859 that thou talkest מְדַבֵּ֥ר H1696 עִמִּֽי׃ H5973 18 אַל H408 נָ֨א H4994 Depart תָמֻ֤שׁ H4185 מִזֶּה֙ H2088 עַד H5704 not hence I pray thee until I come בֹּאִ֣י H935 אֵלֶ֔יךָ H413 unto thee and bring forth וְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ H3318 אֶת H853 my present מִנְחָתִ֔י H4503 and set וְהִנַּחְתִּ֖י H3240 it before לְפָנֶ֑יךָ H6440 thee And he said וַיֹּאמַ֕ר H559 אָֽנֹכִ֥י H595 I will tarry אֵשֵׁ֖ב H3427 עַ֥ד H5704 until thou come again שׁוּבֶֽךָ׃ H7725 19 And Gideon וְגִדְע֣וֹן H1439 went in בָּ֗א H935 and made ready וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 גְּדִֽי H1423 a kid עִזִּים֙ H5795 of an ephah וְאֵיפַת H374 of flour קֶ֣מַח H7058 and unleavened cakes מַצּ֔וֹת H4682 the flesh הַבָּשָׂר֙ H1320 and he put שָׂ֣ם H7760 in a basket בַּסַּ֔ל H5536 the broth וְהַמָּרַ֖ק H4839 and he put שָׂ֣ם H7760 in a pot בַּפָּר֑וּר H6517 and brought it out וַיּוֹצֵ֥א H3318 אֵלָ֛יו H413 אֶל H413 תַּ֥חַת H8478 unto him under the oak הָֽאֵלָ֖ה H424 and presented וַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃ H5066 20 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֵלָ֜יו H413 And the angel מַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים H430 unto him Take קַ֣ח H3947 אֶת H853 the flesh הַבָּשָׂ֤ר H1320 וְאֶת H853 and the unleavened cakes הַמַּצּוֹת֙ H4682 and lay וְהַנַּח֙ H3240 אֶל H413 rock הַסֶּ֣לַע H5553 them upon this הַלָּ֔ז H1975 וְאֶת H853 the broth הַמָּרַ֖ק H4839 and pour out שְׁפ֑וֹךְ H8210 And he did וַיַּ֖עַשׂ H6213 כֵּֽן׃ H3651 21 put forth וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח H7971 Then the angel וּמַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 אֶת H853 the end קְצֵ֤ה H7097 of the staff הַמִּשְׁעֶ֙נֶת֙ H4938 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that was in his hand בְּיָד֔וֹ H3027 and touched וַיִּגַּ֥ע H5060 the flesh הַבָּשָׂר֙ H1320 and the unleavened cakes הַמַּצּ֔וֹת H4682 and there rose up וַתַּ֨עַל H5927 fire הָאֵ֜שׁ H784 מִן H4480 out of the rock הַצּ֗וּר H6697 and consumed וַתֹּ֤אכַל H398 אֶת H853 the flesh הַבָּשָׂר֙ H1320 וְאֶת H853 and the unleavened cakes הַמַּצּ֔וֹת H4682 Then the angel וּמַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 departed הָלַ֖ךְ H1980 out of his sight מֵֽעֵינָֽיו׃ H5869 22 I have seen רָאִ֙יתִי֙ H7200 And when Gideon גִּדְע֗וֹן H1439 כִּֽי H3588 an angel מַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 ה֑וּא H1931 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And when Gideon גִּדְע֗וֹן H1439 Alas אֲהָהּ֙ H162 O Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י H136 GOD יְהוִ֔ה H3069 כִּֽי H3588 עַל H5921 for because כֵּ֤ן H3651 I have seen רָאִ֙יתִי֙ H7200 an angel מַלְאַ֣ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 face פָּנִֽים׃ H6440 אֶל H413 face פָּנִֽים׃ H6440 23 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 ל֧וֹ H0 And the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 unto him Peace שָׁל֥וֹם H7965 לְךָ֖ H0 אַל H408 be unto thee fear תִּירָ֑א H3372 לֹ֖א H3808 not thou shalt not die תָּמֽוּת׃ H4191 24 built וַיִּבֶן֩ H1129 שָׁ֨ם H8033 Then Gideon גִּדְע֤וֹן H1439 an altar מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ H4196 there unto the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 and called וַיִּקְרָא H7121 ל֥וֹ H0 there unto the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 שָׁל֑וֹם H7965 עַ֚ד H5704 unto this day הַיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 עוֹדֶ֕נּוּ H5750 it is yet in Ophrah בְּעָפְרָ֖ת H6084 אֲבִ֥י H0 of the Abiezrites הָֽעֶזְרִֽי׃ H33 25 וַיְהִי֮ H1961 And it came to pass the same night בַּלַּ֣יְלָה H3915 הַהוּא֒ H1931 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 ל֣וֹ H0 that the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 unto him Take קַ֤ח H3947 אֶת H853 bullock וּפַ֥ר H6499 bullock הַשּׁוֹר֙ H7794 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that thy father לְאָבִ֔יךָ H1 bullock וּפַ֥ר H6499 even the second הַשֵּׁנִ֖י H8145 of seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 years old שָׁנִ֑ים H8141 and throw down וְהָֽרַסְתָּ֗ H2040 אֶת H853 the altar מִזְבַּ֤ח H4196 of Baal הַבַּ֙עַל֙ H1168 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that thy father לְאָבִ֔יךָ H1 וְאֶת H853 the grove הָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֥ה H842 אֲשֶׁר H834 עָלָ֖יו H5921 hath and cut down תִּכְרֹֽת׃ H3772 26 And build וּבָנִ֨יתָ H1129 an altar מִזְבֵּ֜חַ H4196 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֣ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ H430 עַ֣ל H5921 upon the top רֹ֧אשׁ H7218 of this rock הַמָּע֛וֹז H4581 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 in the ordered place בַּמַּֽעֲרָכָ֑ה H4634 and take וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ H3947 אֶת H853 bullock הַפָּ֣ר H6499 the second הַשֵּׁנִ֔י H8145 and offer וְהַֽעֲלִ֣יתָ H5927 a burnt sacrifice עוֹלָ֔ה H5930 with the wood בַּֽעֲצֵ֥י H6086 of the grove הָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֖ה H842 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which thou shalt cut down תִּכְרֹֽת׃ H3772 27 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 Then Gideon גִּדְע֜וֹן H1439 ten עֲשָׂרָ֤ה H6235 אֲנָשִׁים֙ H376 of his servants מֵֽעֲבָדָ֔יו H5650 and did וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 had said דִּבֶּ֥ר H1696 אֵלָ֖יו H413 as the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 וַיְהִ֡י H1961 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 unto him and so it was because he feared יָרֵא֩ H3372 אֶת H853 household בֵּ֨ית H1004 his father's אָבִ֜יו H1 וְאֶת H853 אַנְשֵׁ֥י H376 of the city הָעִ֛יר H5892 and did וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 it by day יוֹמָ֖ם H3119 and did וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 it by night לָֽיְלָה׃ H3915 28 arose early וַיַּשְׁכִּ֜ימוּ H7925 אַנְשֵׁ֤י H376 of the city הָעִיר֙ H5892 in the morning בַּבֹּ֔קֶר H1242 וְהִנֵּ֤ה H2009 was cast down נֻתַּץ֙ H5422 behold the altar הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ H4196 of Baal הַבַּ֔עַל H1168 and the grove וְהָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֥ה H842 אֲשֶׁר H834 עָלָ֖יו H5921 was cut down כֹּרָ֑תָה H3772 וְאֵת֙ H853 bullock הַפָּ֣ר H6499 that was by it and the second הַשֵּׁנִ֔י H8145 was offered הֹֽעֲלָ֔ה H5927 עַל H5921 behold the altar הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ H4196 that was built הַבָּנֽוּי׃ H1129 29 And they said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 one אִ֣ישׁ H376 אֶל H413 to another רֵעֵ֔הוּ H7453 מִ֥י H4310 Who hath done עָשָׂ֖ה H6213 this thing הַדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 And when they enquired וַֽיִּדְרְשׁוּ֙ H1875 and asked וַיְבַקְשׁ֔וּ H1245 And they said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 Gideon גִּדְעוֹן֙ H1439 the son בֶּן H1121 of Joash יוֹאָ֔שׁ H3101 Who hath done עָשָׂ֖ה H6213 this thing הַדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 30 said וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ H559 אַנְשֵׁ֤י H376 of the city הָעִיר֙ H5892 אֶל H413 unto Joash יוֹאָ֔שׁ H3101 Bring out הוֹצֵ֥א H3318 אֶת H853 thy son בִּנְךָ֖ H1121 that he may die וְיָמֹ֑ת H4191 כִּ֤י H3588 because he hath cast down נָתַץ֙ H5422 אֶת H853 the altar מִזְבַּ֣ח H4196 of Baal הַבַּ֔עַל H1168 וְכִ֥י H3588 and because he hath cut down כָרַ֖ת H3772 the grove הָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֥ה H842 אֲשֶׁר H834 עָלָֽיו׃ H5921 31 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Joash יוֹאָ֡שׁ H3101 לְכֹל֩ H3605 אֲשֶׁר H834 unto all that stood עָֽמְד֨וּ H5975 עָלָ֜יו H5921 הַֽאַתֶּ֣ם׀ H859 against him Will ye plead יָ֣רֶב H7378 for Baal לַבַּ֗עַל H1168 אִם H518 אַתֶּם֙ H859 will ye save תּֽוֹשִׁיע֣וּן H3467 אוֹת֔וֹ H853 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 against him Will ye plead יָ֣רֶב H7378 ל֛וֹ H0 for him let him be put to death יוּמַ֖ת H4191 עַד H5704 whilst it is yet morning הַבֹּ֑קֶר H1242 אִם H518 if he be a god אֱלֹהִ֥ים H430 הוּא֙ H1931 against him Will ye plead יָ֣רֶב H7378 ל֔וֹ H0 כִּ֥י H3588 for himself because one hath cast down נָתַ֖ץ H5422 אֶֽת H853 his altar מִזְבְּחֽוֹ׃ H4196 32 he called וַיִּקְרָא H7121 ל֥וֹ H0 Therefore on that day בַיּוֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 him Jerubbaal יְרֻבַּ֣עַל H3378 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 plead יָ֤רֶב H7378 בּוֹ֙ H0 Let Baal הַבַּ֔עַל H1168 כִּ֥י
