Midianites וּמִדְיָ֨ן H4080 and the Amalekites וַֽעֲמָלֵ֤ק H6002 וְכָל H3605 and all the children בְּנֵי H1121 of the east קֶ֙דֶם֙ H6924 lay נֹֽפְלִ֣ים H5307 along in the valley בָּעֵ֔מֶק H6010 like grasshoppers כָּֽאַרְבֶּ֖ה H697 for multitude לָרֹֽב׃ H7230 and their camels וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶם֙ H1581 אֵ֣ין H369 were without number מִסְפָּ֔ר H4557 as the sand כַּח֛וֹל H2344 שֶֽׁעַל H5921 side שְׂפַ֥ת H8193 by the sea הַיָּ֖ם H3220 for multitude לָרֹֽב׃ H7230 13 and came וַיָּבֹ֣א H935 And when Gideon גִדְע֔וֹן H1439 וְהִ֨נֵּה H2009 behold there was a man אִ֔ישׁ H376 that told מְסַפֵּ֥ר H5608 unto his fellow לְרֵעֵ֖הוּ H7453 a dream חֲל֣וֹם H2472 and said וַיֹּ֜אמֶר H559 הִנֵּ֧ה H2009 a dream חֲל֣וֹם H2472 Behold I dreamed חָלַ֗מְתִּי H2492 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 and lo a cake צְלִ֜וֹל H6742 bread לֶ֤חֶם H3899 of barley שְׂעֹרִים֙ H8184 and overturned וַיַּֽהַפְכֵ֥הוּ H2015 into the host בְּמַֽחֲנֵ֣ה H4264 of Midian מִדְיָ֔ן H4080 and came וַיָּבֹ֣א H935 עַד H5704 it that the tent הָאֹֽהֶל׃ וַיַּ֨עַן H6030 And his fellow רֵעֵ֤הוּ H7453 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֵ֣ין H369 זֹ֔את H2063 בִּלְתִּ֗י H1115 אִם H518 This is nothing else save the sword חֶ֛רֶב H2719 of Gideon גִּדְע֥וֹן H1439 the son בֶּן H1121 of Joash יוֹאָ֖שׁ H3101 a man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 delivered נָתַ֤ן H5414 hath God הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ H430 for into his hand בְּיָד֔וֹ H3027 אֶת H853 Midian מִדְיָ֖ן H4080 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and all the host הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ H4264 15 וַיְהִי֩ H1961 heard כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ H8085 And it was so when Gideon גִּדְע֜וֹן H1439 אֶת H853 the telling מִסְפַּ֧ר H4557 of the dream הַֽחֲל֛וֹם H2472 וְאֶת H853 and the interpretation שִׁבְר֖וֹ H7667 thereof that he worshipped וַיִּשְׁתָּ֑חוּ H7812 and returned וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ H7725 אֶל H413 into the host מַֽחֲנֵ֥ה H4264 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Arise ק֔וּמוּ H6965 כִּֽי H3588 hath delivered נָתַ֧ן H5414 for the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 into your hand בְּיֶדְכֶ֖ם H3027 אֶת H853 into the host מַֽחֲנֵ֥ה H4264 of Midian מִדְיָֽן׃ H4080 16 And he divided וַיַּ֛חַץ H2673 אֶת H853 into three שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה H7969 hundred מֵא֥וֹת H3967 men הָאִ֖ישׁ H376 into three שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה H7969 companies רָאשִׁ֑ים H7218 and he put וַיִּתֵּ֨ן H5414 a trumpet שֽׁוֹפָר֤וֹת H7782 in every man's hand בְּיַד H3027 כֻּלָּם֙ H3605 pitchers הַכַּדִּֽים׃ H3537 with empty רֵיקִ֔ים H7386 and lamps וְלַפִּדִ֖ים H3940 within בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 pitchers הַכַּדִּֽים׃ H3537 17 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם H413 מִמֶּ֥נִּי H4480 unto them Look תִרְא֖וּ H7200 וְכֵ֣ן H3651 it shall be that as I do תַּֽעֲשֽׂוּן׃ H6213 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 אָֽנֹכִ֥י H595 likewise and behold when I come בָא֙ H935 to the outside בִּקְצֵ֣ה H7097 of the camp הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה H4264 וְהָיָ֥ה H1961 כַֽאֲשֶׁר H834 it shall be that as I do תַּֽעֲשֽׂוּן׃ H6213 כֵּ֥ן H3651 it shall be that as I do תַּֽעֲשֽׂוּן׃ H6213 18 I and all that are with me then blow וּתְקַעְתֶּ֨ם H8628 with a trumpet בַּשּֽׁוֹפָר֜וֹת H7782 אָֽנֹכִ֖י H595 וְכָל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אִתִּ֑י H854 I and all that are with me then blow וּתְקַעְתֶּ֨ם H8628 with a trumpet בַּשּֽׁוֹפָר֜וֹת H7782 גַּם H1571 אַתֶּ֗ם H859 also on every side סְבִיבוֹת֙ H5439 כָּל H3605 of all the camp הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה H4264 and say וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם H559 The sword of the LORD לַֽיהוָ֥ה H3068 and of Gideon וּלְגִדְעֽוֹן׃ H1439 19 that were with him came וַיָּבֹ֣א H935 So Gideon גִ֠דְעוֹן H1439 and the hundred וּמֵאָה H3967 men אִ֨ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֜וֹ H854 unto the outside בִּקְצֵ֣ה H7097 of the camp הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֗ה H4264 in the beginning רֹ֚אשׁ H7218 watch הָֽאַשְׁמֹ֣רֶת H821 of the middle הַתִּֽיכוֹנָ֔ה H8484 and they had but אַ֛ךְ H389 newly הֵקִ֖ימוּ H6965 newly הֵקִ֖ימוּ H6965 אֶת H853 the watch הַשֹּֽׁמְרִ֑ים H8104 and they blew וַֽיִּתְקְעוּ֙ H8628 the trumpets בַּשּׁ֣וֹפָר֔וֹת H7782 and brake וְנָפ֥וֹץ H5310 the pitchers הַכַּדִּ֖ים H3537 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that were in their hands בְּיָדָֽם׃ H3027 20 blew לִתְק֑וֹעַ H8628 And the three שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת H7969 companies הָֽרָאשִׁ֥ים H7218 and the trumpets הַשּֽׁוֹפָר֖וֹת H7782 and brake וַיִּשְׁבְּר֣וּ H7665 the pitchers הַכַּדִּים֒ H3537 and held וַיַּֽחֲזִ֤יקוּ H2388 hands וּבְיַ֨ד H3027 in their left שְׂמאוֹלָם֙ H8040 the lamps בַּלַּפִּדִ֔ים H3940 hands וּבְיַ֨ד H3027 in their right יְמִינָ֔ם H3225 and the trumpets הַשּֽׁוֹפָר֖וֹת H7782 blew לִתְק֑וֹעַ H8628 withal and they cried וַֽיִּקְרְא֔וּ H7121 The sword חֶ֥רֶב H2719 of the LORD לַֽיהוָ֖ה H3068 and of Gideon וּלְגִדְעֽוֹן׃ H1439 21 And they stood וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ H5975 every man אִ֣ישׁ H376 תַּחְתָּ֔יו H8478 in his place round about סָבִ֖יב H5439 and all the host הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֛ה H4264 ran וַיָּ֧רָץ H7323 כָּל H3605 and all the host הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֛ה H4264 and cried וַיָּרִ֖יעוּ H7321 and fled וַיָּנֽיּסוּ׃ H5127 22 blew וַֽיִּתְקְעוּ֮ H8628 And the three שְׁלֹשׁ H7969 hundred מֵא֣וֹת H3967 the trumpets הַשּֽׁוֹפָרוֹת֒ H7782 set וַיָּ֣שֶׂם H7760 and the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 אֵ֣ת H853 sword חֶ֥רֶב H2719 every man's אִ֛ישׁ H376 against his fellow בְּרֵעֵ֖הוּ H7453 the border שְׂפַת H8193 אָבֵ֥ל H0 of Abelmeholah מְחוֹלָ֖ה H65 עַל H5921 unto Tabbath טַבָּֽת׃ H2888 23 gathered themselves together וַיִּצָּעֵ֧ק H6817 And the men אִֽישׁ H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל H3478 out of Naphtali מִנַּפְתָּלִ֥י H5321 וּמִן H4480 and out of Asher אָשֵׁ֖ר H836 וּמִן H4480 כָּל H3605 and out of all Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה H4519 and pursued וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ H7291 after אַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 the Midianites מִדְיָֽן׃ H4080 24 messengers וּמַלְאָכִ֡ים H4397 sent שָׁלַ֣ח H7971 And Gideon גִּדְעוֹן֩ H1439 בְּכָל H3605 throughout all mount הַ֨ר H2022 Ephraim אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ H669 saying
