hosts מַֽחֲנֵ֣ה H4264 עִמָּם֙ H5973 with them about fifteen כַּֽחֲמֵ֤שֶׁת H2568 עָשָׂר֙ H6240 thousand אֶ֛לֶף H505 כֹּ֚ל H3605 men all that were left הַנּ֣וֹתָרִ֔ים H3498 מִכֹּ֖ל H3605 and their hosts H4608 the sun הֶחָֽרֶס׃ H2775 14 And caught וַיִּלְכָּד H3920 a young man נַ֛עַר H5288 of the men מֵֽאַנְשֵׁ֥י H582 of Succoth סֻכּוֹת֙ H5523 and enquired וַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֑הוּ H7592 of him and he Zalmunna וְצַלְמֻנָּ֤ע H6759 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 with whom ye did upbraid חֵֽרַפְתֶּ֨ם H2778 אוֹתִ֜י H853 and said לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 Are the hands הֲ֠כַף H3709 Behold Zebah זֶ֣בַח H2078 and Zalmunna וְצַלְמֻנָּ֤ע H6759 עַתָּה֙ H6258 now in thine hand בְּיָדֶ֔ךָ H3027 כִּ֥י H3588 that we should give נִתֵּ֛ן H5414 לַֽאֲנָשֶׁ֥יךָ H376 that are weary הַיְּעֵפִ֖ים H3287 bread לָֽחֶם׃ H3899 16 And he took וַיִּקַּח֙ H3947 אֶת H853 the elders זִקְנֵ֣י H2205 of the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 וְאֶת H853 and thorns קוֹצֵ֥י H6975 of the wilderness הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר H4057 וְאֶת H853 and briers הַֽבַּרְקֳנִ֑ים H1303 and with them he taught וַיֹּ֣דַע H3045 בָּהֶ֔ם H0 אֵ֖ת H853 אַנְשֵׁ֥י H376 of Succoth סֻכּֽוֹת׃ H5523 17 וְאֶת H853 the tower מִגְדַּ֥ל H4026 of Penuel פְּנוּאֵ֖ל H6439 And he beat down נָתָ֑ץ H5422 and slew וַֽיַּהֲרֹ֖ג H2026 אֶת H853 אַנְשֵׁ֥י H376 of the city הָעִֽיר׃ H5892 18 And they answered וַֽיֹּאמְרוּ֙ H559 אֶל H413 he unto Zebah זֶ֙בַח֙ H2078 וְאֶל H413 and Zalmunna צַלְמֻנָּ֔ע H6759 What אֵיפֹה֙ H375 הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 were they whom ye slew הֲרַגְתֶּ֖ם H2026 at Tabor בְּתָב֑וֹר H8396 And they answered וַֽיֹּאמְרוּ֙ H559 As thou כְמוֹהֶ֔ם H3644 As thou כְמוֹהֶ֔ם H3644 art so were they each one אֶחָ֕ד H259 resembled כְּתֹ֖אַר H8389 the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of a king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 19 And he said וַיֹּאמַ֕ר H559 They were my brethren אַחַ֥י H251 even the sons בְּנֵֽי H1121 of my mother אִמִּ֖י H517 הֵ֑ם H1992 liveth חַי H2416 as the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 if ל֚וּ H3863 ye had saved them alive הַֽחֲיִתֶ֣ם H2421 אוֹתָ֔ם H853 לֹ֥א H3808 I would not slay הָרַ֖גְתִּי H2026 אֶתְכֶֽם׃ H853 20 And he said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 unto Jether לְיֶ֣תֶר H3500 his firstborn בְּכוֹר֔וֹ H1060 Up ק֖וּם H6965 and slay הֲרֹ֣ג H2026 אוֹתָ֑ם H853 וְלֹֽא H3808 drew שָׁלַ֨ף H8025 because he was yet a youth נָֽעַר׃ H5288 not his sword חַרְבּוֹ֙ H2719 כִּ֣י H3588 for he feared יָרֵ֔א H3372 כִּ֥י H3588 עוֹדֶ֖נּוּ H5750 because he was yet a youth נָֽעַר׃ H5288 21 said וַיֹּ֜אמֶר H559 Then Zebah זֶ֣בַח H2078 and Zalmunna צַלְמֻנָּ֔ע H6759 Rise וַיָּ֣קָם H6965 אַתָּה֙ H859 thou and fall וּפְגַע H6293 בָּ֔נוּ H0 כִּ֥י H3588 upon us for as the man כָאִ֖ישׁ H376 is so is his strength גְּבֽוּרָת֑וֹ H1369 Rise וַיָּ֣קָם H6965 And Gideon גִּדְע֗וֹן H1439 and slew וַֽיַּהֲרֹג֙ H2026 אֶת H853 Then Zebah זֶ֣בַח H2078 וְאֶת H853 and Zalmunna צַלְמֻנָּ֔ע H6759 and took away וַיִּקַּח֙ H3947 אֶת H853 the ornaments הַשַּׂ֣הֲרֹנִ֔ים H7720 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 necks בְּצַוְּארֵ֥י H6677 that were on their camels גְמַלֵּיהֶֽם׃ H1581 22 said וַיֹּֽאמְר֤וּ H559 Then the men אִֽישׁ would give וּתְנוּ H5414 לִ֕י H0 me every man אִ֖ישׁ H376 earrings נִזְמֵ֤י H5141 of his prey שְׁלָל֑וֹ H7998 כִּֽי H3588 earrings נִזְמֵ֤י H5141 For they had golden זָהָב֙ H2091 לָהֶ֔ם H0 כִּ֥י H3588 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 And the weight מִשְׁקַ֞ל H4948 earrings נִזְמֵ֤י H5141 of the golden זָהָ֑ב H2091 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that he requested שָׁאָ֔ל H7592 was a thousand אֶ֥לֶף H505 and seven וּשְׁבַע H7651 hundred מֵא֖וֹת H3967 of the golden זָהָ֑ב H2091 לְ֠בַד H905 מִן H4480 beside ornaments הַשַּֽׂהֲרֹנִ֨ים H7720 and collars וְהַנְּטִיפ֜וֹת H5188 raiment וּבִגְדֵ֣י H899 and purple הָֽאַרְגָּמָ֗ן H713 שֶׁעַל֙ H5921 that was on the kings מַלְכֵ֣י H4428 of Midian מִדְיָ֔ן H4080 וּלְבַד֙ H905 מִן H4480 and beside the chains הָ֣עֲנָק֔וֹת H6060 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 necks בְּצַוְּארֵ֥י H6677 that were about their camels גְמַלֵּיהֶֽם׃ H1581 27 made וַיַּעַשׂ֩ H6213 אוֹת֨וֹ H853 And Gideon לְגִדְע֥וֹן H1439 an ephod לְאֵפ֗וֹד H646 thereof and put וַיַּצֵּ֨ג H3322 אוֹת֤וֹ H853 it in his city בְעִירוֹ֙ H5892 וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב H3427 in his own house בְּבֵיתֽוֹ׃ H1004 30 And Gideon וּלְגִדְע֗וֹן H1439 הָיוּ֙ H1961 had threescore and ten שִׁבְעִ֣ים H7657 sons בָּנִ֔ים H1121 begotten יֹֽצְאֵ֖י H3318 of his body יְרֵכ֑וֹ H3409 כִּֽי H3588 wives נָשִׁ֥ים H802 for he had many רַבּ֖וֹת H7227 הָ֥יוּ H1961 לֽוֹ׃ H0 31 And his concubine וּפִֽילַגְשׁוֹ֙ H6370 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that was in Shechem בִּשְׁכֶ֔ם H7927 she also bare יָֽלְדָה H3205 לּ֥וֹ H0 גַם H1571 הִ֖יא H1931 him a son בֵּ֑ן H1121 he called וַיָּ֥שֶׂם H7760 אֶת H853 whose name שְׁמ֖וֹ H8034 Abimelech אֲבִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ H40 32 died וַיָּ֛מָת H4191 And Gideon גִּדְע֥וֹן H1439 the son בֶּן H1121 of Joash יוֹאָ֣שׁ H3101 old age בְּשֵׂיבָ֣ה H7872 in a good טוֹבָ֑ה H2896 and was buried וַיִּקָּבֵ֗ר H6912 in the sepulchre בְּקֶ֙בֶר֙ H6913 of Joash יוֹאָ֣שׁ H3101 his father אָבִ֔יו H1 in Ophrah בְּעָפְרָ֖ה H6084 אֲבִ֥י H0 of the Abiezrites הָֽעֶזְרִֽי׃ H33 33 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ H834 was dead מֵ֣ת H4191 And it came to pass as soon as Gideon גִּדְע֔וֹן H1439 turned again וַיָּשׁ֙וּבוּ֙ H7725 that the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and went a whoring וַיִּזְנ֖וּ H2181 after אַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 Baalim הַבְּעָלִ֑ים H1168 and made וַיָּשִׂ֧ימוּ H7760 לָהֶ֛ם H0 בַּ֥עַל H0 Baalberith בְּרִ֖ית H1170 their god לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ H430 34 וְלֹ֤א H3808 remembered זָֽכְרוּ֙ H2142 And the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel
