אֹֽמְרִ֔ים H559 We our sons בָּנֵ֥ינוּ H1121 and our daughters וּבְנֹתֵ֖ינוּ H1323 אֲנַ֣חְנוּ H587 are many רַבִּ֑ים H7227 therefore we take up וְנִקְחָ֥ה H3947 corn דָגָ֖ן H1715 for them that we may H834 also that said אֹֽמְרִ֔ים H559 We have borrowed לָוִ֥ינוּ H3867 money כֶ֖סֶף H3701 tribute לְמִדַּ֣ת H4060 for the king's הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 and that upon our lands שְׂדֹתֵ֖ינוּ H7704 and vineyards כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 when I heard שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ H8085 אֶת H853 their cry זַֽעֲקָתָ֔ם H2201 וְאֵ֖ת H853 and these words הַדְּבָרִ֥ים H1697 הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ H428 7 Then I consulted וַיִּמָּלֵ֨ךְ H4427 with myself לִבִּ֜י H3820 עָלַ֗י H5921 and I rebuked וָֽאָרִ֙יבָה֙ H7378 אֶת H853 the nobles הַֽחֹרִ֣ים H2715 וְאֶת H853 and the rulers הַסְּגָנִ֔ים H5461 and said וָאֹֽמְרָ֣ה H559 לָהֶ֔ם H0 usury מַשָּׁ֥א H4855 every one אִישׁ H376 of his brother בְּאָחִ֖יו H251 אַתֶּ֣ם H859 נֹשִׁ֑אים H5383 And I set וָֽאֶתֵּ֥ן H5414 עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם H5921 assembly קְהִלָּ֥ה H6952 a great גְדוֹלָֽה׃ H1419 8 And I said וָאֹֽמְרָ֣ה H559 לָהֶ֗ם H0 אֲנַ֣חְנוּ H587 have redeemed קָ֠נִינוּ H7069 אֶת H853 our brethren אֲחֵיכֶ֖ם H251 the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֜ים H3064 and will ye even sell וְנִמְכְּרוּ H4376 unto the heathen לַגּוֹיִם֙ H1471 unto them We after our ability כְּדֵ֣י H1767 בָ֔נוּ H0 וְגַם H1571 אַתֶּ֛ם H859 and will ye even sell וְנִמְכְּרוּ H4376 אֶת H853 our brethren אֲחֵיכֶ֖ם H251 and will ye even sell וְנִמְכְּרוּ H4376 לָ֑נוּ H0 unto us Then held they their peace וַֽיַּחֲרִ֔ישׁוּ H2790 וְלֹ֥א H3808 and found מָֽצְא֖וּ H4672 דָּבָֽר׃ H1696 9 Also I said וָיאֹמַ֕ר H559 לֹא H3808 It is not good ט֥וֹב H2896 that הַדָּבָ֖ר H1697 אֲשֶׁר H834 אַתֶּ֣ם H859 ye do עֹשִׂ֑ים H6213 הֲל֞וֹא H3808 in the fear בְּיִרְאַ֤ת H3374 of our God אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ H430 תֵּלֵ֔כוּ H1980 because of the reproach מֵֽחֶרְפַּ֖ת H2781 of the heathen הַגּוֹיִ֥ם H1471 our enemies אֽוֹיְבֵֽינוּ׃ H341 10 וְגַם H1571 אֲנִי֙ H589 I likewise and my brethren אַחַ֣י H251 and my servants וּנְעָרַ֔י H5288 might exact נֹשִׁ֥ים H5383 בָּהֶ֖ם H0 of them money כֶּ֣סֶף H3701 and corn וְדָגָ֑ן H1715 I pray you let us leave off נַֽעַזְבָה H5800 נָּ֖א H4994 אֶת H853 this usury הַמַּשָּׁ֥א H4855 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 11 Restore הָשִׁיבוּ֩ H7725 נָ֨א H4994 לָהֶ֜ם H0 I pray you to them even this day כְּהַיּ֗וֹם H3117 their lands שְׂדֹֽתֵיהֶ֛ם H7704 their vineyards כַּרְמֵיהֶ֥ם H3754 their oliveyards זֵֽיתֵיהֶ֖ם H2132 and their houses וּבָֽתֵּיהֶ֑ם H1004 also the hundredth וּמְאַ֨ת H3967 part of the money הַכֶּ֤סֶף H3701 and of the corn וְהַדָּגָן֙ H1715 the wine הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ H8492 and the oil וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר H3323 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 אַתֶּ֖ם H859 that ye exact נֹשִׁ֥ים H5383 בָּהֶֽם׃ H0 12 Then said אוֹמֵ֑ר H559 they We will restore נָשִׁ֗יב H7725 וּמֵהֶם֙ H1992 לֹ֣א H3808 them and will require נְבַקֵּ֔שׁ H1245 כֵּ֣ן H3651 nothing of them so will we do לַֽעֲשׂ֖וֹת H6213 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 אַתָּ֣ה H859 Then said אוֹמֵ֑ר H559 Then I called וָֽאֶקְרָא֙ H7121 אֶת H853 the priests הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים H3548 and took an oath וָֽאַשְׁבִּיעֵ֔ם H7650 nothing of them so will we do לַֽעֲשׂ֖וֹת H6213 according to this promise כַּדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 13 גַּם H1571 my lap חָצְנִ֣י H2684 Also I shook נָע֖וּר H5287 and said וַיֹּֽאמְר֨וּ H559 כָּ֣כָה H3602 Also I shook נָע֖וּר H5287 So God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֟ים H430 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 every man הָאִישׁ֩ H376 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 that performeth יָקִ֜ים H6965 אֶת H853 according to this promise כַּדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּ֗ה H2088 from his house מִבֵּיתוֹ֙ H1004 and from his labour וּמִ֣יגִיע֔וֹ H3018 וְכָ֛כָה H3602 יִֽהְיֶ֥ה H1961 Also I shook נָע֖וּר H5287 and emptied וָרֵ֑ק H7386 and said וַיֹּֽאמְר֨וּ H559 כָֽל H3605 And all the congregation הַקָּהָ֜ל H6951 Amen אָמֵ֗ן H543 and praised וַֽיְהַלְלוּ֙ H1984 אֶת H853 the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 did וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 And the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 according to this promise כַּדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 14 גַּ֞ם H1571 Moreover from the time מִיּ֣וֹם׀ H3117 אֲשֶׁר H834 that I was appointed צִוָּ֣ה H6680 אֹתִ֗י H853 לִֽהְי֣וֹת H1961 of the governor הַפֶּ֖חָה H6346 in the land בְּאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Judah יְהוּדָה֒ H3063 year שָׁנִ֖ים H8141 from the twentieth עֶשְׂרִ֗ים H6242 וְ֠עַד H5704 year שָׁנִ֖ים H8141 and thirtieth שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים H7970 even unto the two שְׁתֵּ֣ים H8147 of Artaxerxes לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֣סְתְּא H783 the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 year שָׁנִ֖ים H8141 even unto the two שְׁתֵּ֣ים H8147 עֶשְׂרֵ֑ה H6240 אֲנִ֣י H589 I and my brethren וְאַחַ֔י H251 the bread לֶ֥חֶם H3899 of the governor הַפֶּ֖חָה H6346 לֹ֥א H3808 have not eaten אָכַֽלְתִּי׃ H398 15 governors וְהַפַּחוֹת֩ H6346 But the former הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֨ים H7223 אֲשֶׁר H834 not I because מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 me were chargeable הִכְבִּ֣ידוּ H3513 עַל H5921 over the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 and had taken וַיִּקְח֨וּ H3947 מֵהֶ֜ם H1992 of them bread בְּלֶ֤חֶם H3899 and wine וָיַ֙יִן֙ H3196 beside אַחַר֙ H310 of silver כֶּֽסֶף H3701 shekels שְׁקָלִ֣ים H8255 forty אַרְבָּעִ֔ים H705 yea even גַּ֥ם H1571 their servants נַֽעֲרֵיהֶ֖ם H5288 bare rule שָֽׁלְט֣וּ H7980 עַל H5921 over the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 וַֽאֲנִי֙ H589 לֹֽא H3808 but so did עָשִׂ֣יתִי H6213 כֵ֔ן H3651 not I because מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 of the fear יִרְאַ֥ת H3374 of God אֱלֹהִֽים׃ H430 16 וְ֠גַם H1571 in the work הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 of this wall הַֽחוֹמָ֤ה H2346 הַזֹּאת֙ H2063 Yea also I continued הֶֽחֱזַ֔קְתִּי H2388 we any land וְשָׂדֶ֖ה H7704 לֹ֣א H3808 neither bought קָנִ֑ינוּ H7069 וְכָל H3605 and all my servants נְעָרַ֔י H5288 were gathered קְבוּצִ֥ים H6908 שָׁ֖ם H8033 עַל H5921 in the work הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 17 of the Jews וְהַיְּהוּדִ֨ים H3064 and rulers וְהַסְּגָנִ֜ים H5461 an hundred מֵאָ֧ה H3967 and fifty וַֽחֲמִשִּׁ֣ים Moreover there were at my table שֻׁלְחָנִֽי׃ H7979 18 וַֽאֲשֶׁר֩ H834 הָיָ֨ה H1961 Now that which was prepared נַֽעֲשׂוּ H6213 days יָמִ֛ים H3117 was one אֶחָ֞ד H259 ox שׁ֣וֹר H7794 was one אֶחָ֞ד H259 sheep צֹ֠אן H6629 and six שֵׁשׁ H8337 choice בְּרֻר֤וֹת H1305 also fowls וְצִפֳּרִים֙ H6833 Now that which was prepared נַֽעֲשׂוּ H6213 לִ֔י H0 וּבֵ֨ין H996 for me and once in ten עֲשֶׂ֧רֶת H6235 days יָמִ֛ים H3117 בְּכָל H3605 of all sorts of wine יַ֖יִן H3196 store לְהַרְבֵּ֑ה H7235 yet for all וְעִם H5973 זֶ֗ה H2088 not I the bread לֶ֤חֶם H3899 of the governor הַפֶּחָה֙ H6346 לֹ֣א H3808 this required בִקַּ֔שְׁתִּי H1245 כִּֽי H3588 was heavy כָֽבְדָ֥ה H3513 because the bondage הָֽעֲבֹדָ֖ה H5656 עַל H5921 upon this people הָעָ֥ם H5971 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 19 Think זָכְרָה H2142 לִּ֥י H0
