Shema וְשֶׁ֡מַע H8087 and Anaiah וַֽ֠עֲנָיָה H6043 and Urijah וְאֽוּרִיָּ֧ה H223 and Hilkiah וְחִלְקִיָּ֛ה H2518 and Maaseiah וּמַֽעֲשֵׂיָ֖ה H4641 עַל H5921 on his right hand יְמִינ֑וֹ H3225 and on Jozabad יֽוֹזָבָ֨ד H3107 Hanan חָנָ֤ן H2605 Pelaiah פְּלָאיָה֙ H6411 and the Levites וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם H3881 to understand מְבִינִ֥ים H995 אֶת H853 and the people וְהָעָ֖ם H5971 the law לַתּוֹרָ֑ה H8451 and the people וְהָעָ֖ם H5971 עַל H5921 stood in their place עָמְדָֽם׃ H5977 8 So they read וַֽיִּקְרְא֥וּ H7121 in the book בַסֵּ֛פֶר H5612 in the law בְּתוֹרַ֥ת H8451 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 distinctly מְפֹרָ֑שׁ H6567 and gave וְשׂ֣וֹם H7760 the sense שֶׂ֔כֶל H7922 and caused them to understand וַיָּבִ֖ינוּ H995 the reading בַּמִּקְרָֽא׃ H4744 9 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Nehemiah נְחֶמְיָ֣ה H5166 ה֣וּא H1931 which is the Tirshatha הַתִּרְשָׁ֡תָא H8660 and Ezra וְעֶזְרָ֣א H5830 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֣ן׀ H3548 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֡ר H5608 and the Levites וְהַלְוִיִּם֩ H3881 that taught הַמְּבִינִ֨ים H995 אֶת H853 For all the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 לְכָל H3605 For all the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 This day הַיּ֤וֹם H3117 is holy קָדֹֽשׁ H6918 הוּא֙ H1931 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֣ה H3068 H4924 and drink וּשְׁת֣וּ H8354 the sweet מַֽמְתַקִּ֗ים H4477 and send וְשִׁלְח֤וּ H7971 portions מָנוֹת֙ H4490 לְאֵ֣ין H369 unto them for whom nothing is prepared נָכ֣וֹן H3559 ל֔וֹ H0 כִּֽי H3588 is H2013 כִּ֥י H3588 for the day הַיּ֖וֹם H3117 is holy קָדֹ֑שׁ H6918 וְאַל H408 neither be ye grieved תֵּֽעָצֵֽבוּ׃ H6087 12 went their way וַיֵּֽלְכ֨וּ H3212 כָל H3605 And all the people הָעָ֜ם H5971 to eat לֶֽאֱכֹ֤ל H398 and to drink וְלִשְׁתּוֹת֙ H8354 and to send וּלְשַׁלַּ֣ח H7971 portions מָנ֔וֹת H4490 and to make וְלַֽעֲשׂ֖וֹת H6213 mirth שִׂמְחָ֣ה H8057 great גְדוֹלָ֑ה H1419 כִּ֤י H3588 because they had understood הֵבִ֙ינוּ֙ H995 the words בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים H1697 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that were declared הוֹדִ֖יעוּ H3045 לָהֶֽם׃ H0 13 day וּבַיּ֣וֹם H3117 And on the second הַשֵּׁנִ֡י H8145 were gathered together נֶֽאֶסְפוּ֩ H622 the chief רָאשֵׁ֨י H7218 of the fathers הָֽאָב֜וֹת H1 לְכָל H3605 of all the people הָעָ֗ם H5971 the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 and the Levites וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם H3881 אֶל H413 unto Ezra עֶזְרָ֖א H5830 the scribe הַסֹּפֵ֑ר H5608 even to understand וּלְהַשְׂכִּ֖יל H7919 אֶל H413 the words דִּבְרֵ֥י H1697 of the law הַתּוֹרָֽה׃ H8451 14 And they found וַֽיִּמְצְא֖וּ H4672 written כָּת֣וּב H3789 in the law בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה H8451 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 had commanded צִוָּ֤ה H6680 which the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 by בְּיַד H3027 Moses מֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 should dwell יֵֽשְׁב֨וּ And that they should publish יַשְׁמִ֗יעוּ H8085 and proclaim וְיַֽעֲבִ֨ירוּ H5674 ק֥וֹל H6963 בְּכָל H3605 in all their cities עָֽרֵיהֶם֮ H5892 and in Jerusalem וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֣ם H3389 saying לֵאמֹר֒ H559 Go forth צְא֣וּ H3318 unto the mount הָהָ֗ר H2022 and fetch וְהָבִ֙יאוּ֙ H935 and branches וַֽעֲלֵ֖י H5929 olive זַ֙יִת֙ H2132 and branches וַֽעֲלֵ֖י H5929 branches עֵ֣ץ H6086 and pine שֶׁ֔מֶן לַֽעֲשֹׂ֥ת H6213 booths סֻכֹּ֖ת H5521 as it is written כַּכָּתֽוּב׃ H3789 16 went forth וַיֵּֽצְא֣וּ H3318 So the people הָעָם֮ H5971 and brought וַיָּבִיאוּ֒ H935 them and made וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ֩ H6213 לָהֶ֨ם H1992 themselves booths סֻכּ֜וֹת H5521 every one אִ֤ישׁ H376 עַל H5921 upon the roof of his house גַּגּוֹ֙ H1406 and in the courts וּבְחַצְר֖וֹת H2691 and in the courts וּבְחַצְר֖וֹת H2691 of the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 and in the street וּבִרְח֖וֹב H7339 gate שַׁ֥עַר H8179 of the water הַמַּ֔יִם H4325 and in the street וּבִרְח֖וֹב H7339 gate שַׁ֥עַר H8179 of Ephraim
