וַֽעֲלִיתֶ֖ם H5927 זֶה֙ H2088 this way southward בַּנֶּ֔גֶב H5045 and go up וַֽעֲלִיתֶ֖ם H5927 אֶת H853 into the mountain הָהָֽר׃ H2022 18 And see וּרְאִיתֶ֥ם H7200 אֶת H853 the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 מַה H4100 הִ֑וא H1931 וְאֶת H853 what it is and the people הָעָם֙ H5971 that dwelleth הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב H3427 עָלֶ֔יהָ H5921 therein whether they be strong הֶֽחָזָ֥ק H2389 הוּא֙ H1931 or weak הֲרָפֶ֔ה H7504 few הַמְעַ֥ט H4592 ה֖וּא H1931 אִם H518 or many רָֽב׃ H7227 19 וּמָ֣ה H4100 And what the land הָאָ֗רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁר H834 הוּא֙ H1931 is that they dwell in יוֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 בָּ֔הּ H0 whether it be good הֲטוֹבָ֥ה H2896 הִ֖וא H1931 אִם H518 or bad רָעָ֑ה H7451 וּמָ֣ה H4100 and what cities הֶֽעָרִ֗ים H5892 אֲשֶׁר H834 הוּא֙ H1931 is that they dwell in יוֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 in בָּהֵ֔נָּה H2007 whether in tents הַבְּמַֽחֲנִ֖ים H4264 אִ֥ם H518 or in strong holds בְּמִבְצָרִֽים׃ H4013 20 וּמָ֣ה H4100 And what the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 is whether it be fat הַשְּׁמֵנָ֨ה H8082 הִ֜וא H1931 אִם H518 or lean רָזָ֗ה H7330 whether there be הֲיֵֽשׁ H3426 בָּ֥הּ H0 wood עֵץ֙ H6086 אִם H518 אַ֔יִן H369 therein or not And be ye of good courage וְהִ֨תְחַזַּקְתֶּ֔ם H2388 and bring וּלְקַחְתֶּ֖ם H3947 of the fruit Talmai וְתַלְמַ֔י H8526 the children יְלִידֵ֖י H3211 of Anak הָֽעֲנָ֑ק H6061 unto Hebron וְחֶבְר֗וֹן H2275 seven שֶׁ֤בַע H7651 years שָׁנִים֙ H8141 was built נִבְנְתָ֔ה H1129 before לִפְנֵ֖י H6440 Zoan צֹ֥עַן H6814 in Egypt מִצְרָֽיִם׃ H4714 23 And they came וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ H935 עַד H5704 unto the brook נַ֣חַל H5158 of Eshcol אֶשְׁכֹּ֗ל H812 and cut down וַיִּכְרְת֨וּ H3772 מִשָּׁ֤ם H8033 from thence a branch זְמוֹרָה֙ H2156 cluster וְאֶשְׁכּ֤וֹל H811 of grapes עֲנָבִים֙ H6025 with one אֶחָ֔ד H259 and they bare וַיִּשָּׂאֻ֥הוּ H5375 upon a staff בַמּ֖וֹט H4132 it between two בִּשְׁנָ֑יִם H8147 וּמִן H4480 and they brought of the pomegranates הָֽרִמֹּנִ֖ים H7416 וּמִן H4480 and of the figs הַתְּאֵנִֽים׃ H8384 24 The place לַמָּק֣וֹם H4725 הַה֔וּא H1931 was called קָרָ֖א H7121 the brook נַ֣חַל H5158 Eshcol אֶשְׁכּ֑וֹל H812 עַ֚ל H5921 because of אֹד֣וֹת H182 the cluster of grapes הָֽאֶשְׁכּ֔וֹל H811 אֲשֶׁר H834 cut down כָּֽרְת֥וּ H3772 מִשָּׁ֖ם H8033 which the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 25 And they returned וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ H7725 from searching מִתּ֣וּר H8446 of the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 after מִקֵּ֖ץ H7093 forty אַרְבָּעִ֥ים H705 days יֽוֹם׃ H3117 26 וַיֵּֽלְכ֡וּ H1980 and came וַיָּבֹאוּ֩ H935 אֶל H413 to Moses מֹשֶׁ֨ה H4872 וְאֶֽל H413 and to Aaron אַהֲרֹ֜ן H175 וְאֶל H413 כָּל H3605 and to all the congregation הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה H5712 of the children בְּנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל H3478 אֶל H413 unto the wilderness מִדְבַּ֥ר H4057 of Paran פָּארָ֖ן H6290 to Kadesh קָדֵ֑שָׁה H6946 and brought back וַיָּשִׁ֨יבוּ H7725 אֹתָ֤ם H853 word דָּבָר֙ H1697 וְאֶת H853 כָּל H3605 and to all the congregation הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה H5712 and shewed וַיַּרְא֖וּם H7200 אֶת H853 them the fruit פְּרִ֥י H6529 of the land הָאָֽרֶץ׃ H776 27 And they told וַיְסַפְּרוּ H5608 לוֹ֙ H0 him and said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 We came בָּ֕אנוּ H935 אֶל H413 unto the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 whither thou sentest שְׁלַחְתָּ֑נוּ H7971 וְ֠גַם H1571 us and surely it floweth הָעָ֔ם H5971 that dwell הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב H3427 in the land בָּאָ֑רֶץ H776 and the cities וְהֶֽעָרִ֗ים H5892 are walled בְּצֻר֤וֹת H1219 great גְּדֹלֹת֙ H1419 and very מְאֹ֔ד H3966 וְגַם H1571 the children יְלִדֵ֥י H3211 of Anak הָֽעֲנָ֖ק H6061 and moreover we saw רָאִ֥ינוּ H7200 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 29 The Amalekites עֲמָלֵ֥ק H6002 dwell יוֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 in the land בְּאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of the south הַנֶּ֑גֶב H5045 and the Hittites וְ֠הַֽחִתִּי H2850 and the Jebusites וְהַיְבוּסִ֤י H2983 and the Amorites וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ H567 dwell יוֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 in the mountains בָּהָ֔ר H2022 and the Canaanites וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ H3669 dwell יוֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 עַל H5921 by the sea הַיָּ֔ם H3220 וְעַ֖ל H5921 and by the coast יַ֥ד H3027 of Jordan הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ H3383 30 stilled וַיַּ֧הַס H2013 And Caleb כָּלֵ֛ב H3612 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 אֶל H413 before Moses מֹשֶׁ֑ה H4872 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 Let us go up נַֽעֲלֶה֙ H5927 Let us go up נַֽעֲלֶה֙ H5927 and possess וְיָרַ֣שְׁנוּ H3423 אֹתָ֔הּ H853 כִּֽי H3588 it
