יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל H3478 כָּל H3605 even the whole congregation הָ֨עֵדָ֤ה H5712 into the desert מִדְבַּר H4057 of Zin צִן֙ H6790 month בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ H2320 in the first הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן H7223 abode וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב H3427 and the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 in Kadesh בְּקָדֵ֑שׁ H6946 died וַתָּ֤מָת H4191 שָׁם֙ H8033 and Miriam מִרְיָ֔ם H4813 there and was buried וַתִּקָּבֵ֖ר H6912 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 2 וְלֹא H3808 הָ֥יָה H1961 And there was no water מַ֖יִם H4325 for the congregation לָֽעֵדָ֑ה H5712 and they gathered וַיִּקָּ֣הֲל֔וּ H6950 עַל H5921 themselves together against Moses מֹשֶׁ֖ה H4872 וְעַֽל H5921 and against Aaron וּמַ֥יִם H4325 אַ֖יִן H369 to drink לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃ H8354 6 went וַיָּבֹא֩ H935 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֨ה H4872 and Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֜ן H175 from the presence פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם H6440 of the assembly הַקָּהָ֗ל H6951 אֶל H413 unto the door פֶּ֙תַח֙ H6607 of the tabernacle אֹ֣הֶל H168 of the congregation מוֹעֵ֔ד H4150 and they fell וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ H5307 עַל H5921 from the presence פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם H6440 appeared וַיֵּרָ֥א H7200 and the glory כְבוֹד H3519 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 7 spake וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר H1696 And the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁ֥ה H4872 saying לֵּאמֹֽר׃ H559 8 Take קַ֣ח H3947 אֶת H853 the rod הַמַּטֶּ֗ה H4294 and gather וְהַקְהֵ֤ל H6950 אֶת H853 so thou shalt give the congregation הָֽעֵדָ֖ה H5712 אַתָּה֙ H859 together thou and Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֣ן H175 thy brother אָחִ֔יךָ H251 and speak וְדִבַּרְתֶּ֧ם H1696 אֶל H413 out of the rock הַסֶּ֔לַע H5553 before their eyes לְעֵֽינֵיהֶ֖ם H5869 and it shall give forth וְנָתַ֣ן H5414 his water מַ֙יִם֙ H4325 and thou shalt bring forth וְהֽוֹצֵאתָ֙ H3318 לָהֶ֥ם H0 his water מַ֙יִם֙ H4325 מִן H4480 out of the rock הַסֶּ֔לַע H5553 drink וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֥ H8248 אֶת H853 so thou shalt give the congregation הָֽעֵדָ֖ה H5712 וְאֶת H853 and their beasts בְּעִירָֽם׃ H1165 9 took וַיִּקַּ֥ח H3947 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֛ה H4872 אֶת H853 the rod הַמַּטֶּ֖ה H4294 from before מִלִּפְנֵ֣י H6440 the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 as he commanded צִוָּֽהוּ׃ H6680 10 gathered וַיַּקְהִ֜לוּ H6950 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֧ה H4872 and Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֛ן H175 אֶת H853 the congregation הַקָּהָ֖ל H6951 אֶל H413 together before פְּנֵ֣י H6440 out of this rock הַסֶּ֣לַע H5553 and he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 לָהֶ֗ם H0 unto them Hear שִׁמְעוּ H8085 נָא֙ H4994 now ye rebels הַמֹּרִ֔ים H4784 הֲמִן H4480 out of this rock הַסֶּ֣לַע H5553 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 must we fetch נוֹצִ֥יא H3318 לָכֶ֖ם H0 you water מָֽיִם׃ H4325 11 lifted up וַיָּ֨רֶם H7311 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֜ה H4872 אֶת H853 his hand יָד֗וֹ H3027 he smote וַיַּ֧ךְ H5221 אֶת H853 the rock הַסֶּ֛לַע H5553 and with his rod בְּמַטֵּ֖הוּ H4294 twice פַּֽעֲמָ֑יִם H6471 came out וַיֵּֽצְאוּ֙ H3318 and the water מַ֣יִם H4325 abundantly רַבִּ֔ים H7227 drank וַתֵּ֥שְׁתְּ H8354 and the congregation הָֽעֵדָ֖ה H5712 and their beasts וּבְעִירָֽם׃ H1165 12 spake וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And the LORD יְהוָה֮ H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁ֣ה H4872 וְאֶֽל H413 and Aaron אַהֲרֹן֒ H175 יַ֚עַן H3282 לֹֽא H3808 Because ye believed הֶאֱמַנְתֶּ֣ם H539 בִּ֔י H0 me not to sanctify לְהַ֨קְדִּישֵׁ֔נִי H6942 me in the eyes לְעֵינֵ֖י H5869 of the children בְּנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 לָכֵ֗ן H3651 לֹ֤א H3808 therefore ye shall not bring תָבִ֙יאוּ֙ H935 אֶת H853 this congregation הַקָּהָ֣ל H6951 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 אֶל H413 into the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁר H834 which I have given נָתַ֥תִּי H5414 לָהֶֽם׃ H0 13 This is הֵ֚מָּה H1992 the water מֵ֣י H4325 of Meribah מְרִיבָ֔ה H4809 אֲשֶׁר H834 strove רָב֥וּ H7378 because the children בְנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 אֶת H854 with the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 and he was sanctified וַיִּקָּדֵ֖שׁ H6942 בָּֽם׃ H0 14 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח H7971 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֧ה H4872 messengers מַלְאָכִ֛ים H4397 from Kadesh מִקָּדֵ֖שׁ H6946 אֶל H413 unto the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Edom אֱד֑וֹם H123 כֹּ֤ה H3541 Thus saith אָמַר֙ H559 thy brother אָחִ֣יךָ H251 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אַתָּ֣ה H859 Thou knowest יָדַ֔עְתָּ H3045 אֵ֥ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the travail הַתְּלָאָ֖ה H8513 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that hath befallen מְצָאָֽתְנוּ׃ H4672 15 went down וַיֵּֽרְד֤וּ H3381 How our fathers וְלַֽאֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ H1 and the Egyptians מִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 and we have dwelt וַנֵּ֥שֶׁב H3427 and the Egyptians מִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 time יָמִ֣ים H3117 a long רַבִּ֑ים H7227 vexed וַיָּרֵ֥עוּ H7489 לָ֛נוּ H0 and the Egyptians מִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 How our fathers וְלַֽאֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ H1 16 And when we cried וַנִּצְעַ֤ק H6817 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 he heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע H8085 our voice קֹלֵ֔נוּ H6963 and sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח H7971 an angel מַלְאָ֔ךְ H4397 and hath brought us forth וַיֹּֽצִאֵ֖נוּ H3318 out of Egypt מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם H4714 וְהִנֵּה֙ H2009 אֲנַ֣חְנוּ H587 and behold we are in Kadesh בְקָדֵ֔שׁ H6946 a city עִ֖יר H5892 in the uttermost קְצֵ֥ה H7097 of thy border גְבוּלֶֽךָ׃ H1366 17 Let us pass נַעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 נָּ֣א H4994 I pray thee through thy country בְאַרְצֶ֗ךָ H776 לֹ֤א H3808 Let us pass נַעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 through the fields בְּשָׂדֶ֣ה H7704 or through the vineyards וּבְכֶ֔רֶם H3754 וְלֹ֥א H3808 neither will we drink נִשְׁתֶּ֖ה H8354 of the water מֵ֣י H4325 of the wells בְאֵ֑ר H875 high way דֶּ֧רֶךְ H1870 by the king's הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 נֵלֵ֗ךְ H1980 לֹ֤א H3808 we will not turn נִטֶּה֙ H5186 to the right hand יָמִ֣ין H3225 nor to the left וּשְׂמֹ֔אול H8040 עַ֥ד H5704 אֲשֶֽׁר H834 Let us pass נַעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 thy borders גְּבֻלֶֽךָ׃ H1366 18 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 And Edom אֱד֔וֹם H123 לֹ֥א H3808 unto him Thou shalt not pass תַֽעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 בִּ֑י H0 פֶּן H6435 thee with the sword בַּחֶ֖רֶב H2719 by me lest I come out אֵצֵ֥א H3318 against לִקְרָאתֶֽךָ׃ H7125 19 said וַיֹּֽאמְר֨וּ H559 אֵלָ֥יו H413 And the children בְּנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ H3478 by the high way בַּֽמְסִלָּ֣ה H4546 unto him We will go נַֽעֲלֶה֒ H5927 וְאִם H518 of thy water מֵימֶ֤יךָ H4325 drink נִשְׁתֶּה֙ H8354 אֲנִ֣י H589 and if I and my cattle וּמִקְנַ֔י H4735 then I will pay וְנָֽתַתִּ֖י H5414 מִכְרָ֑ם H4377 רַ֥ק H7535 אֵין H369 for it I will only without doing any thing דָּבָ֖ר H1697 on my feet בְּרַגְלַ֥י H7272 else go through אֶֽעֱבֹֽרָה׃ H5674 20 And he said וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 לֹ֣א H3808 Thou shalt not go through תַֽעֲבֹ֑ר H5674 came out וַיֵּצֵ֤א H3318 And Edom אֱדוֹם֙ H123 against לִקְרָאת֔וֹ H7125 people בְּעַ֥ם H5971 him with much כָּבֵ֖ד H3515 hand וּבְיָ֥ד H3027 and with a strong חֲזָקָֽה׃ H2389 21 refused וַיְמָאֵ֣ן׀ H3985 Thus Edom אֱד֗וֹם H123 to give נְתֹן֙ H5414 אֶת H853 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 passage עֲבֹ֖ר H5674 through his border בִּגְבֻל֑וֹ H1366 turned away וַיֵּ֥ט H5186 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 מֵֽעָלָֽיו׃ H5921 22 journeyed וַיִּסְע֖וּ H5265 from Kadesh מִקָּדֵ֑שׁ H6946 and came וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ H935 And the children בְנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל H3478 כָּל H3605 even the whole congregation הָֽעֵדָ֖ה H5712 Hor הֹ֥ר H2023 unto mount הָהָֽר׃ H2022 23 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 And the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 אֶל H413 unto Moses מֹשֶׁ֥ה H4872 וְאֶֽל H413 and Aaron אַהֲרֹ֖ן H175 Hor בְּהֹ֣ר H2023 in mount הָהָ֑ר H2022 עַל H5921 by the coast גְּב֥וּל H1366 of the land אֶֽרֶץ H776 of Edom אֱד֖וֹם H123 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 24 shall be gathered יֵֽאָסֵ֤ף H622 Aaron אַֽהֲרֹן֙ H175 אֶל H413 unto his people עַמָּ֔יו H5971 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֤א H3808 for he shall not enter יָבֹא֙ H935 אֶל H413 into the land הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which I have given נָתַ֖תִּי H5414 unto the children לִבְנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 עַ֛ל H5921 אֲשֶׁר H834 because ye rebelled against מְרִיתֶ֥ם H4784 אֶת H853 my word פִּ֖י H6310 at the water לְמֵ֥י H4325 of Meribah מְרִיבָֽה׃ H4809 25 Take קַ֚ח H3947 אֶֽת H853 Aaron אַהֲרֹ֔ן H175 וְאֶת H853 and Eleazar אֶלְעָזָ֖ר H499 his son בְּנ֑וֹ H1121 and bring them up וְהַ֥עַל H5927 אֹתָ֖ם H853 Hor הֹ֥ר H2023 unto mount הָהָֽר׃ H2022 26 And strip וְהַפְשֵׁ֤ט H6584 אֶֽת H853 Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֥ן H175 אֶת H853 of his garments בְּגָדָ֔יו H899 and put וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֖ם H3847 אֶת H853 them upon Eleazar אֶלְעָזָ֣ר H499 his son בְּנ֑וֹ H1121 Aaron וְאַֽהֲרֹ֥ן H175 shall be gathered יֵֽאָסֵ֖ף H622 unto his people and shall die וּמֵ֥ת H4191 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 27 did וַיַּ֣עַשׂ H6213 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 commanded צִוָּ֣ה H6680 as the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 and they went up וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙ H5927 אֶל H413 Hor הֹ֣ר H2023 into mount הָהָ֔ר H2022 in the sight לְעֵינֵ֖י H5869 כָּל H3605 of all the congregation הָֽעֵדָֽה׃ H5712 28 stripped וַיַּפְשֵׁט֩ H6584 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֛ה H4872 אֶֽת H853 Aaron אַֽהֲרֹ֛ן H175 אֶת H853 of his garments בְּגָדָ֗יו H899 and put וַיַּלְבֵּ֤שׁ H3847 אֹתָם֙ H854 אֶת H853 and Eleazar וְאֶלְעָזָ֖ר H499 his son בְּנ֔וֹ H1121 died וַיָּ֧מָת H4191 Aaron אַֽהֲרֹ֛ן H175 שָׁ֖ם H8033 there in the top בְּרֹ֣אשׁ H7218 from the mount הָהָֽר׃ H2022 came down וַיֵּ֧רֶד H3381 And Moses מֹשֶׁ֛ה H4872 and Eleazar וְאֶלְעָזָ֖ר H499 מִן H4480 from the mount הָהָֽר׃ H2022 29 saw וַיִּרְאוּ֙ H7200 כָּל H3605 And when all the congregation הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה H5712 כִּ֥י H3588 was dead גָוַ֖ע H1478 for Aaron אַהֲרֹן֙ H175 they mourned וַיִּבְכּ֤וּ H1058 אֶֽת H853 for
