הָֽאֲתָרִ֑ים H871 then he fought וַיִּלָּ֙חֶם֙ H3898 against Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and took וַיִּ֥שְׁבְּ׀ H7617 מִמֶּ֖נּוּ H4480 some of them prisoners שֶֽׁבִי׃ H7628 2 vowed וַיִּדַּ֨ר H5087 הָֽאֱמֹרִֽי׃ H567 כִּ֤י H3588 for Arnon אַרְנוֹן֙ H769 is the border גְּב֣וּל H1366 between Moab מוֹאָ֖ב H4124 בֵּ֥ין H996 between Moab מוֹאָ֖ב H4124 וּבֵ֥ין H996 and the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִֽי׃ H567 14 עַל H5921 כֵּן֙ H3651 Wherefore it is said יֵֽאָמַ֔ר H559 in the book בְּסֵ֖פֶר H5612 of the wars מִלְחֲמֹ֣ת H4421 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 אֶת H853 What he did וָהֵ֣ב H2052 in the Red sea בְּסוּפָ֔ה H5492 וְאֶת H853 and in the brooks הַנְּחָלִ֖ים H5158 of Arnon אַרְנֽוֹן׃ H769 15 And at the stream וְאֶ֙שֶׁד֙ H793 of the brooks הַנְּחָלִ֔ים H5158 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that goeth down נָטָ֖ה H5186 to the dwelling לְשֶׁ֣בֶת H3427 of Ar עָ֑ר H6144 and lieth וְנִשְׁעַ֖ן H8172 upon the border לִגְב֥וּל H1366 of Moab מוֹאָֽב׃ H4124 16 וּמִשָּׁ֖ם H8033 And from thence they went to Beer בְּאֵ֑רָה H876 הִ֣וא H1931 that is the well הַבְּאֵ֗ר H875 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 spake אָמַ֤ר H559 whereof the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 unto Moses לְמֹשֶׁ֔ה H4872 Gather אֱסֹף֙ H622 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 and I will give וְאֶתְּנָ֥ה H5414 לָהֶ֖ם H0 them water מָֽיִם׃ H4325 17 אָ֚ז H227 sang יָשִׁ֣יר H7891 Then Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אֶת H853 this song הַשִּׁירָ֖ה H7892 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 Spring up עֲלִ֥י H5927 O well בְאֵ֖ר H875 sing עֱנוּ H6030 לָֽהּ׃ H0 18 the well בְּאֵ֞ר H875 digged חֲפָר֣וּהָ H2658 The princes שָׂרִ֗ים H8269 digged כָּר֙וּהָ֙ H3738 the nobles נְדִיבֵ֣י H5081 of the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 it by the direction of the lawgiver בִּמְחֹקֵ֖ק H2710 with their staves בְּמִשְׁעֲנֹתָ֑ם H4938 And from the wilderness וּמִמִּדְבָּ֖ר H4057 they went to Mattanah מַתָּנָֽה׃ H4980 19 And from Mattanah וּמִמַּתָּנָ֖ה H4980 and from Nahaliel וּמִנַּֽחֲלִיאֵ֖ל H5160 and from Nahaliel וּמִנַּֽחֲלִיאֵ֖ל H5160 to Bamoth בָּמֽוֹת׃ H1120 20 And from Bamoth וּמִבָּמ֗וֹת H1120 in the valley הַגַּיְא֙ H1516 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 that is in the country בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה H7704 of Moab מוֹאָ֔ב H4124 to the top רֹ֖אשׁ H7218 of Pisgah הַפִּסְגָּ֑ה H6449 which looketh וְנִשְׁקָ֖פָה H8259 עַל H5921 toward פְּנֵ֥י H6440 Jeshimon הַיְשִׁימֹֽן׃ H3452 21 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 And Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 messengers מַלְאָכִ֔ים H4397 אֶל H413 unto Sihon סִיחֹ֥ן H5511 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of the Amorites הָאֱמֹרִ֖י H567 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 22 Let me pass נַעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 through thy land בְאַרְצֶ֗ךָ H776 לֹ֤א H3808 we will not turn נִטֶּה֙ H5186 into the fields בְּשָׂדֶ֣ה H7704 or into the vineyards וּבְכֶ֔רֶם H3754 לֹ֥א H3808 we will not drink נִשְׁתֶּ֖ה H8354 of the waters מֵ֣י H4325 of the well בְאֵ֑ר H875 high way בְּדֶ֤רֶךְ H1870 by the king's הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 נֵלֵ֔ךְ H1980 עַ֥ד H5704 אֲשֶֽׁר H834 Let me pass נַעֲבֹ֖ר H5674 thy borders גְּבֻלֶֽךָ׃ H1366 23 וְלֹֽא H3808 would not suffer נָתַ֨ן H5414 And Sihon סִיחֹ֜ן H5511 אֶת H853 Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 to pass עֲבֹ֣ר H5674 through his border בִּגְבֻלוֹ֒ H1366 gathered וַיֶּֽאֱסֹ֨ף H622 And Sihon סִיחֹ֜ן H5511 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all his people עַמּ֗וֹ H5971 and went out וַיֵּצֵ֞א H3318 against לִקְרַ֤את H7125 Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 into the wilderness הַמִּדְבָּ֔רָה H4057 and he came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 to Jahaz יָ֑הְצָה H3096 and fought וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם H3898 Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 24 smote וַיַּכֵּ֥הוּ H5221 And Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 him with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חָ֑רֶב H2719 and possessed וַיִּירַ֨שׁ H3423 אֶת H853 his land אַרְצ֜וֹ H776 from Arnon מֵֽאַרְנֹ֗ן H769 עַד H5704 unto Jabbok יַבֹּק֙ cities עָרֵ֣י H5892 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י H567 in Heshbon בְּחֶשְׁבּ֖וֹן H2809 וּבְכָל H3605 and in all the villages בְּנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ H1323 26 כִּ֣י H3588 For Heshbon חֶשְׁבּ֔וֹן H2809 was the city עִ֗יר H5892 of Sihon סִיחֹ֛ן H5511 king בְּמֶ֤לֶךְ H4428 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֖י H567 הִ֑וא H1931 וְה֣וּא H1931 who had fought נִלְחַ֗ם H3898 king בְּמֶ֤לֶךְ H4428 of Moab מוֹאָב֙ H4124 against the former הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן H7223 and taken וַיִּקַּ֧ח H3947 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all his land אַרְצ֛וֹ H776 out of his hand מִיָּד֖וֹ H3027 עַד H5704 even unto Arnon אַרְנֹֽן׃ H769 27 עַל H5921 כֵּ֛ן H3651 say יֹֽאמְר֥וּ H559 Wherefore they that speak in proverbs הַמֹּֽשְׁלִ֖ים H4911 Come בֹּ֣אוּ H935 into Heshbon חֶשְׁבּ֑וֹן H2809 be built תִּבָּנֶ֥ה H1129 and prepared וְתִכּוֹנֵ֖ן H3559 let the thou art undone אָבַ֖דְתָּ H6 O people עַם H5971 of Chemosh כְּמ֑וֹשׁ H3645 he hath given נָתַ֨ן H5414 his sons בָּנָ֤יו H1121 that escaped פְּלֵיטִם֙ H6412 and his daughters וּבְנֹתָ֣יו H1323 בַּשְּׁבִ֔ית H7628 king לְמֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of the Amorites אֱמֹרִ֖י H567 unto Sihon סִיחֽוֹן׃ H5511 30 We have shot וַנִּירָ֛ם H3384 is perished אָבַ֥ד H6 at them Heshbon חֶשְׁבּ֖וֹן H2809 עַד H5704 even unto Dibon דִּיבֹ֑ן H1769 and we have laid them waste וַנַּשִּׁ֣ים H8074 עַד H5704 even unto Nophah נֹ֔פַח H5302 אֲשֶׁ֖רׄ H834 עַד H5704 which reacheth unto Medeba מֵֽידְבָֽא׃ H4311 31 dwelt וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ H3427 Thus Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 in the land בְּאֶ֖רֶץ H776 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִֽי׃ H567 32 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 And Moses מֹשֶׁה֙ H4872 to spy out לְרַגֵּ֣ל H7270 אֶת H853 Jaazer יַעְזֵ֔ר H3270 and they took וַֽיִּלְכְּד֖וּ H3920 the villages בְּנֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 thereof and drove out וַיּ֖יֹרֶשׁ H3423 אֶת H853 the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֥י H567 אֲשֶׁר H834 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 33 And they turned וַיִּפְנוּ֙ H6437 and went up וַֽיַּעֲל֔וּ H5927 by the way דֶּ֖רֶךְ H1870 of Bashan הַבָּשָׁ֨ן H1316 went out וַיֵּצֵ֣א H3318 and Og עוֹג֩ H5747 the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Bashan הַבָּשָׁ֨ן H1316 against לִקְרָאתָ֜ם H7125 ה֧וּא H1931 וְכָל H3605 them he and all his people עַמּ֛וֹ H5971 to the battle לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה H4421 at Edrei אֶדְרֶֽעִי׃ H154 34 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And the
