pass in the fourth בְּאַרְבָּעָ֛ה H702 month לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ H2320 day of the ninth הַתְּשִׁעִ֖י H8671 even in Chisleu בְּכִסְלֵֽו׃ H3691 2 When they had sent וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ H7971 unto the house בֵּֽית H1004 of God אֵ֔ל H410 Sherezer שַׂרְאֶ֕צֶר H8272 וְרֶ֥גֶם H7276 מֶ֖לֶךְ H4428 and their men וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֑יו H582 to pray לְחַלּ֖וֹת H2470 אֶת H853 before פְּנֵ֥י H6440 the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 3 And to speak inhabited יֹשֵֽׁב׃ H3427 and in prosperity וּשְׁלֵוָ֔ה H7961 and the cities וְעָרֶ֖יהָ H5892 thereof round about סְבִיבֹתֶ֑יהָ H5439 the south וְהַנֶּ֥גֶב H5045 and the plain וְהַשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה H8219 her when men inhabited יֹשֵֽׁב׃ H3427 8 וַֽיְהִי֙ H1961 And the word דְּבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 אֶל H413 came unto Zechariah זְכַרְיָ֖ה H2148 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 9 כֹּ֥ה H3541 Thus speaketh לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 of hosts צְבָא֖וֹת H6635 Thus speaketh לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 judgment מִשְׁפַּ֤ט H4941 true אֱמֶת֙ H571 Execute שְׁפֹ֔טוּ H8199 mercy וְחֶ֣סֶד H2617 and compassions וְרַֽחֲמִ֔ים H7356 and shew עֲשׂ֖וּ H6213 every man אִ֥ישׁ H376 אֶת H854 to his brother אָחִֽיו׃ H251 10 not the widow וְאַלְמָנָ֧ה H490 nor the fatherless וְיָת֛וֹם H3490 the stranger גֵּ֥ר H1616 nor the poor וְעָנִ֖י H6041 אַֽל H408 And oppress תַּעֲשֹׁ֑קוּ H6231 evil וְרָעַת֙ H7451 against אִ֣ישׁ H376 his brother אָחִ֔יו H251 אַֽל H408 and let none of you imagine תַּחְשְׁב֖וּ H2803 in your heart בִּלְבַבְכֶֽם׃ H3824 11 But they refused וַיְמָאֲנ֣וּ H3985 to hearken לְהַקְשִׁ֔יב H7181 and pulled away וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ H5414 the shoulder כָתֵ֖ף H3802 סֹרָ֑רֶת H5637 their ears וְאָזְנֵיהֶ֖ם H241 and stopped הִכְבִּ֥ידוּ H3513 that they should not hear מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃ H8085 12 their hearts וְלִבָּ֞ם H3820 Yea they made שָׂ֣מוּ H7760 as an adamant stone שָׁמִ֗יר H8068 lest they should hear מִ֠שְּׁמוֹעַ H8085 אֶת H853 the law הַתּוֹרָ֤ה H8451 וְאֶת H853 and the words הַדְּבָרִים֙ H1697 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 hath sent שָׁלַ֜ח H7971 from the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 of hosts צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 in his spirit בְּרוּח֔וֹ H7307 by בְּיַ֖ד H3027 prophets הַנְּבִיאִ֣ים H5030 the former הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֑ים H7223 וַֽיְהִי֙ H1961 wrath קֶ֣צֶף H7110 therefore came a great גָּד֔וֹל H1419 מֵאֵ֖ת H853 from the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 of hosts צְבָאֽוֹת׃ H6635 13 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 כַאֲשֶׁר H834 Therefore it is come to pass that as he cried יִקְרְאוּ֙ H7121 וְלֹ֣א H3808 and I would not hear אֶשְׁמָ֔ע H8085 כֵּ֤ן H3651 them with a whirlwind וְאֵ֣סָעֲרֵ֗ם H5590 עַ֤ל H5921 כָּל H3605 among all the nations הַגּוֹיִם֙ H1471 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 whom they knew יְדָע֔וּם H3045 land אֶֽרֶץ H776 desolate נָשַׁ֣מָּה H8047 after אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם H310 them that no man passed through מֵֽעֹבֵ֖ר H5674 nor returned וּמִשָּׁ֑ב H7725 for they laid וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ H7760 land אֶֽרֶץ H776 the pleasant חֶמְדָּ֖ה H2532 was desolate
