# Is Calvinism Biblical?

Calvinists will argue that individuals can only get saved due to the [sovereign](https://realbiblebelievers.com/the-bible-disproves-gods-calvinist-sovereignty/) will of God, in which He predestinates and regenerates them to get saved.

Although Bible-believing Christians do not deny the power of God to convert sinners, the problem is that many verses prove that a person has free will to reject God’s power.

Notice, **Acts 7:51** reveals that people can always resist, the so-called regenerating work of the Spirit, “Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your father’s did, so do ye.”

**Proverbs 1:25** says that individuals can reject the council of a sovereign God, “But ye have set at nought all my council, and would none of my reproof.”

**Luke 7:30** is more plain: “But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the council of God against themselves, being not baptized of Him.”

Calvinists are wrong to conclude that [God’s sovereignty](https://realbiblebelievers.com/beginners-discipleship-class-20a-sovereignty-of-god/) and predestination enforces people to get saved.
