Is smoking marijuana disobedience to God?

First, there is no doubt that marijuana causes intoxication very easily.

Some might argue that they can smoke without getting intoxicated but does the person still guarantee that, if he or she was pulled over by a cop and tested for driving under influence?

If not, the Bible says eating something without guarantee of toxicity is automatically a sin, so you shouldn’t do it.

“And he that doubteth is DAMNED if he eat, because he eateth not of faith for WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN”, Romans 14:23.

“Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded”, Titus 2:6.

Also, let’s be honest, if the lost world were to see a saved Christian smoking marijuana, would they perceive that appearance to be intoxication or soberness?

If the former, then automatically the appearance of that is a sin even if you are not actually intoxicated.

The Bible says not to just avoid sin, but the appearance of sin itself.

“Abstain from all appearance of evil,” 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
