The moment you get saved, you have a job to do.

What you do when you get saved, you have to help and serve the ministry.

2 Corinthians 6:2: “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

In 2 Corinthians 6:2, “succoured” means to provide help.

Acts 2:1-2,14-21:And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

As soon as Peter received the Holy Ghost, he started to preach to the people of Judea. Do not procrastinate and wait for tomorrow.

Acts 9:18-20: “And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.”

Paul right after gaining strength, straightaway went to preach.

Work now for your eternal rewards to gain.

Genesis 22:1-3:And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.”

This is a popular example of great men who didn’t waste time thinking about what to do for the Lord.

Now is the time to do what is acceptable to the Lord

As Christians, we are supposed to have a hold on what we do

1 Timothy 2:1-3:I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;”

We have to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. We need to pray without ceasing, and if we cannot, do not procrastinate; try to make shorter prayers. Something is better than nothing. Our testimony is important, you want to present yourself that you are a Christian, but if you are struggling and are in the wrong place, don’t be discouraged. Take a step to go back on track, even if it means reading one word of the Bible per day!

A peculiar person?

1 Peter 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;”

We have to be willing to clean ourselves. It takes time, there is a process and we need to get started, do not procrastinate, take a small step to get back in track. We need to preach the Gospel.

1 Corinthians 9:16: “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

It is important that we preach the gospel and soul-winning, the best example to follow on preaching and soul-winning is Paul. Suffering in the name of God is acceptable, do not take persecution as a curse.

It’s time to win souls now

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

We Christians should have compassion for the lost souls. Let’s do it now, not tomorrow.
