As much as the persecution we Christians are getting nowadays from the authority and government can be daunting and painful, this sermon reminds us how exciting it will be when we are finally in heaven. We will be tossing our crown at the feet of Jesus, we will be shouting hallelujah, praising the Lord with joy and massive delight that words cannot even explain. Similar to the kind of excitement we witness from a football match, that will be multiplied countless times when we finally meet Jesus and inherit the Kingdom of God as promised by our Heavenly Father.

Isaiah 49:22-23 Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord : for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

Prophet Isaiah predicted the future, of how all Kings, governors, rulers, and presidents will react to the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and his people. During a time where Christians who feel oppressed and that have been restricted will finally break free; hence the governments and rulers will actually bow to the ruling of King of Kings and Lord of Lords, as well as to the followers of the Lord. Pastor explains how the tables will turn, and that God will share his rulership with us Christians.

Matthew 10:15-18 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

How should we respond to the Rulers or Government Bodies?

We use wisdom, and we ought to be harmless as doves so that we can witness to them, and our testimonies can be used against them. Pastor also reminds us Christians to be extra careful in our conduct and behavior, so that the government will not have any opportunities to nitpick on us, or assimilate us with wickedness.

The reason why great testimonies are important is so that we can avoid unnecessary persecution or disturbance, and for the sake of continuing to preach the gospel and minister to more people.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

We can take the spiritual application to the Church. This verse applies to all the government, the gentiles and pagans; and how Jesus Christ shares his rulership and reigns with us Christians. That the time will come when Government authorities will be punished by God, in a way that they have to apologize and submit to Christians.

The world right now is so wicked and full of hypocrisy, that authorities take money more seriously than God; their provision for flesh is more than their provision for the spirit.

A lot of truths have been perverted, and misinformation is happening all around. We now need to be critical thinkers and to wisely question the credentials of authority figures like CDC and WHO. Hence, for us Christians, it is important to remind ourselves to live the word of God, to go by KJV, rather with all the authority figures that are full of lies and hypocrisy.

Physical Safety versus Soul Salvation

The authorities also claim that invasion of privacy at times is necessary, for instance, to install surveillance through our technology and gadgets to ensure people abide to social distancing; or that it is reasonable to enter premises and houses for inspection for safety precautions.

In contrast, Christians are prohibited from street preaching or house visitation, where ‘respect for privacy’ card is being thrown against Christians. The accusation that Christians are fear mongers is absolutely absurd in God’s eyes.

The invasion of privacy in our lives is okay in the pretense of physical safety but giving out tracts and street preaching for soul salvation is not?

Word of The Media versus the Word of God

We need to live the word of God, walk in the Spirit instead of allowing ourselves to be fed by the fallacies of the media, and walk in the flesh. Pastor stresses how our flesh is capable of leading us towards the wrong and sinful path if we do not constantly stick our nose in the Bible.

We need to be fully aware that Satan is taking over these social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Youtube to promote all the liberal news and garbage like material to the world, and seeking to inhibit the truth from the Bible to be revealed on these platforms. Yet the word of God managed to stand throughout the test of time, despite the devil’s effort to try to annihilate or destroy the Bible for the last few centuries.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

In closing, Pastor advises us on how to respond according to Matthew 10 when people would not listen to the word of truth: You shake off the dust of your feet. You have done what you can according to what God commands you to do, and you move on.
