Satan has used the things of this world to blind you. When was the last time you read your Bible?

Isaiah 42:16-20: “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods. Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord‘s servant? Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.”

Realization of blindness

Isaiah 42:16-17: “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.”

John 1:5: “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

Humans do not realize that they have been blinded, the world does not look at things as God does, the darkness doesn’t understand the light, and they don’t understand how corruptible is the human flesh.

They need to see the hand of God moving, they need to unfold from their blindness. Media feeds one with lies, pornography, worldly music, smoking, and drinking. Humans need to separate themselves from the wrong things that make them feel good, for they are all fantasies and lies. All the things of this world are.
Do you see how wicked and vain your sins are?

A happy family, the house you live in, your school, job, and success are all lies, vain in the end. You do not see Lord Jesus Christ giving himself on the cross for your sins. You blinded yourself to the darkness.

Do you see heaven opening up and the Lord Jesus Christ praising you for being his faithful servant?

The reality is that your soul will be burning in hell. The reality is that Jesus Christ bleeding on the cross is showing how one can be saved.

You need to see how God is in control, looking at your humility. Anything that goes against God and His word is a lie.

Reaction of blindness

Isaiah 42:18:“Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.”

You now realize that you are blind. You need to react and see. Look at the real things, the spiritual and heavenly things. You need to see that you have endless riches waiting for you, more than what you have right now—ruling with Jesus for thousands of years in the future!

Loot at the rewards, look at the reality that sins are temporary, the world has a time limit before Jesus comes back. You do not see the testimony of who’s changing their life for Jesus Christ.

Look at the blessings that God has given you in your life. Count your blessings, and look at the promise that He gave humans. When the light get rids of the darkness, you will see what is going on. Look at God’s power, how he eternally secured your soul. How can He not protect you during your lifetime?

Why do you want to take a gamble with your life? You are not looking at the consequences of your sins and their price. Look at the things of God.

Rejection of blindness

Isaiah 42:19-20: “Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord‘s servant? Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.”

Ephesian 5:14: “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

If you reject the light, you will keep being in sin. Your blindness, pain, depression, and discouragement are not because God is punishing you but because you are rejecting the light, the medication to your sin.
Look at the things of heaven, count your blessings, see the temporality of this world.

John 12:35-36: “Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.”

One walks by faith, not by sight. By faith, one sees the spiritual truth of this world, while by sight, one sees the fleshy world.

Blind the lies, and see through faith.

John 9:5-7: “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.”

John 9:24-25: “Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.”

Jesus is the Light, the things of this world made us blind, but now we see.
