Do Christians have to really keep the Sabbath?

Answer: No, Christians do not have to keep the Sabbath. What people don’t understand is actually the Sabbath is for the Jews, not for the Christian.

The Bible says, in Ezekiel 20:20: “and hallow my Sabbathhs and they shall be a sign between me and you.”

So notice that the Sabbaths are a sign for Jews.

1 Corinthians 1:22 says, “for the Jews require a sign.”

So notice that the Jews required signs and Sabbaths are assigned to them.

The Christian Church however, in Colossians 2: 16, says, “let no man, therefore judge you in meat or in drink, or of the Sabbath day.”

So Sabbaths do not apply to the Christian church.

In Colossians 2:14: “blotting out the handwriting of ordinances, that was against us.”

So the Christian Church, their laws of Moses are actually blotted out and they do not observe the Sabbath. It is a sign for Jews.
