I will praise the LORD with *my* whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and *in* the congregation.* 2 The works of the LORD *are* great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. 3 His work *is* honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD *is* gracious and full of compassion. 5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.* 6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. 7 The works of his hands *are* verity and judgment; all his commandments *are* sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, *and are* done in truth and uprightness.* 9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend *is* his name. 10 The fear of the LORD *is* the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do *his commandments:* his praise endureth for ever.** [Psalms 110](/study/psalms/110) [Psalms 112](/study/psalms/112) ## Commentary To verse 1 **Praise ye the Lord -**Margin, “Hallelujah.” See [Psalms 106:1](/kjv/psalms/106/1). **I will praise the Lord with my whole heart -**With undivided affections; holding back nothing. I will allow nothing to be in my heart that would interfere with the fullness of praise; no coldness or dividedness of affection; no love for other things that would deaden my love for God; no suspicion respecting him that would chill my ardor; no unbelief that would drag me down to earth, while the language of my lips ascended to God. See the notes at [Psalms 86:12](/kjv/psalms/86/12). **In the assembly of the upright -**With the righteous when they are gathered together for public worship. **And in the congregation -**See [Psalms 22:22](/kjv/psalms/22/22), [Psalms 22:25](/kjv/psalms/22/25); [Psalms 66:13](/kjv/psalms/66/13); [Psalms 89:5](/kjv/psalms/89/5). ```json {"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com","name":"Real Bible Believers","description":"RBB","publisher":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/search?q={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-US"},{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/barnes-notes-on-the-whole-bible/psalms/111#primaryimage","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","width":672,"height":448,"caption":"Real Bible Believers"},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/barnes-notes-on-the-whole-bible/psalms/111#webpage","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/barnes-notes-on-the-whole-bible/psalms/111","name":"Psalms 111 - Study King James Bible with barnes notes on the whole bible","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/barnes-notes-on-the-whole-bible/psalms/111#primaryimage"},"author":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"description":"Read Psalms 111 with barnes notes on the whole bible commentary. 1 Praise ye the LORD.
