Ver. 1. **And in that day,** ] *sc.,* When there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse. *as*[Isa 11:1](/kjv/-isa/11/1) Blessed be God for a Christ.[Psa 96:1-13](/kjv/-psa/96/1-13) **[Rev 6:11](/kjv/-rev/6/11) **** **Thou shalt say.** ] It is not a dumb kind of thank fulness that is required of the Lord’s redeemed, but such as from a heart full of spiritual joy breaketh forth into fit words, such as are here set down in this ditty or directory. **** **I will praise thee.** ] The whole life of a true Christian is a holy desire, saith an ancient. It is, or should be surely, *continua laetitia, et laus Dei,* a continual hallelujah. *Deo gratias* was ever in Augustine’s mouth. *Laudetur Deus, laudetur Deus,* in another’s - *i.e.,* Praised be God, praised be God. The saints here "with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."[Rom 15:6](/kjv/-rom/15/6) The saints and angels do so in heaven incessantly,[Rev 4:10-11](/kjv/-rev/4/10-11) *hoc est iuge eorum negotiosum otium et otiosum negotium.* **** **Thine anger is turned away.** ] My sins are forgiven me, and hence I am of so good cheer, though otherwise distressed. *Feri, Domine, feri; a peccatis absolutus sum,* said Luther; Strike while thou wilt, Lord, so long as my sins are pardoned. See [Psalms 103:1-3](/kjv/psalms/103/1-3) . **** **And thou comfortedst me,** ] viz., With gospel comforts, which are strong and satisfying. I do "overabound exceedingly with joy in all our tribulation," saith Paul.[2Co 7:4](/kjv/-2co/7/4) ```json {"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com","name":"Real Bible Believers","description":"RBB","publisher":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/search?q={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-US"},{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12#primaryimage","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","width":672,"height":448,"caption":"Real Bible Believers"},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12#webpage","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12","name":"Isaiah 12 - Study King James Bible with trapps complete commentary","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12#primaryimage"},"author":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"description":"Read Isaiah 12 with trapps complete commentary commentary. 1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. 2 Behol","breadcrumb":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12#breadcrumb"},"inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12"]}]},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/","name":"Home"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study","name":"Study Bible"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":3,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary","name":"trapps complete commentary"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":4,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah","name":"Isaiah"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":5,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/trapps-complete-commentary/isaiah/12","name":"12"}}]},{"@type":["Person","Organization"],"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509","image":{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#personlogo","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/android-chrome-512x512.png","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/android-chrome-512x512.png","width":512,"height":512},"logo":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#personlogo"},"sameAs":["https://twitter.com/RBiblebeliever","https://www.facebook.com/RBibleBelievers"]}]} ```
