do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?** 2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. 3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.* 4 Their poison *is* like the poison of a serpent: *they are* like the deaf adder *that* stoppeth her ear;** 5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.* 6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. 7 Let them melt away as waters *which* run continually: *when* he bendeth *his bow to shoot* his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 8 As a snail *which* melteth, let *every one of them* pass away: *like* the untimely birth of a woman, *that* they may not see the sun. 9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in *his* wrath.* 10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 So that a man shall say, Verily *there is* a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.* [Psalms 57](/study/psalms/57) [Psalms 59](/study/psalms/59) ## Commentary To verse 1 **Do:** [Psalms 72:1-4](/kjv/psalms/72/1-4), [Deuteronomy 16:18](/kjv/deuteronomy/16/18), [Deuteronomy 16:19](/kjv/deuteronomy/16/19), [2 Samuel 23:3](/kjv/2-samuel/23/3), [2 Chronicles 19:6](/kjv/2-chronicles/19/6), [2 Chronicles 19:7](/kjv/2-chronicles/19/7), [Isaiah 11:3-5](/kjv/isaiah/11/3-5), [Isaiah 32:1](/kjv/isaiah/32/1), [Jeremiah 23:5](/kjv/jeremiah/23/5), [Jeremiah 23:6](/kjv/jeremiah/23/6) **O congregation:** [Psalms 82:1](/kjv/psalms/82/1), [Psalms 82:2](/kjv/psalms/82/2), [Numbers 11:16](/kjv/numbers/11/16), [Deuteronomy 1:15](/kjv/deuteronomy/1/15), [Deuteronomy 1:16](/kjv/deuteronomy/1/16), [2 Samuel 5:3](/kjv/2-samuel/5/3), [Matthew 26:3](/kjv/matthew/26/3), [Matthew 27:1](/kjv/matthew/27/1), [Luke 23:50](/kjv/luke/23/50), [Luke 23:51](/kjv/luke/23/51), [Acts 5:21](/kjv/acts/5/21) **O ye:** [Psalms 82:6](/kjv/psalms/82/6), [Psalms 82:7](/kjv/psalms/82/7) **Reciprocal:** [Deuteronomy 25:1](/kjv/deuteronomy/25/1) - *General* [Psalms 4:2](/kjv/psalms/4/2) - O [Psalms 56:1](/kjv/psalms/56/1) - Michtam [Psalms 119:85](/kjv/psalms/119/85) - which [Proverbs 31:9](/kjv/proverbs/31/9) - *General* [Ecclesiastes 3:16](/kjv/ecclesiastes/3/16) - *General* [Isaiah 32:6](/kjv/isaiah/32/6) - and his heart [Isaiah 59:8](/kjv/isaiah/59/8) - judgment [Micah 3:9](/kjv/micah/3/9) - that [Habakkuk 1:4](/kjv/habakkuk/1/4) - for [John 7:24](/kjv/john/7/24) - *General* [John 8:15](/kjv/john/8/15) - judge [John 19:13](/kjv/john/19/13) - and sat [Acts 4:19](/kjv/acts/4/19) - judge [Acts 16:37](/kjv/acts/16/37) - They have [Acts 23:3](/kjv/acts/23/3) - for [Acts 24:25](/kjv/acts/24/25) - righteousness [Galatians 2:14](/kjv/galatians/2/14) - walked [James 2:4](/kjv/james/2/4) - judges ```json {"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com","name":"Real Bible Believers","description":"RBB","publisher":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/search?q={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-US"},{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/treasury-of-scripture-knowledge/psalms/58#primaryimage","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","width":672,"height":448,"caption":"Real Bible Believers"},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/treasury-of-scripture-knowledge/psalms/58#webpage","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/treasury-of-scripture-knowledge/psalms/58","name":"Psalms 58 - Study King James Bible with treasury of scripture knowledge","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/treasury-of-scripture-knowledge/psalms/58#primaryimage"},"author":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"description":"Read Psalms 58 with treasury of scripture knowledge commentary. 1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation?
