I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.* 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they *are* a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 6 ¶ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns *be* with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they *be* a rebellious house.* 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they *are* most rebellious.* 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. 9 ¶ And when I looked, behold, an hand *was* sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book *was* therein; 10 And he spread it before me; and it *was* written within and without: and *there was* written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. [Ezekiel 1](/study/ezekiel/1) [Ezekiel 3](/study/ezekiel/3) ## Commentary To verse 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. *And* — He that sat upon the throne, Jesus Christ. *Son of man* — A phrase which is ninety-five times, at least, used in this prophecy to keep him humble who had such great revelations. *Stand* — Arise, fear not. And with this command God sent forth a power enabling him to rise and stand. ```json {"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com","name":"Real Bible Believers","description":"RBB","publisher":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/search?q={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-US"},{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2#primaryimage","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/_app/immutable/assets/missing.C7wGMEZ6.jpg","width":672,"height":448,"caption":"Real Bible Believers"},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2#webpage","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2","name":"Ezekiel 2 - Study King James Bible with wesleys explanatory notes","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2#primaryimage"},"author":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509"},"description":"Read Ezekiel 2 with wesleys explanatory notes commentary. 1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. 2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upo","breadcrumb":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2#breadcrumb"},"inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2"]}]},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/","name":"Home"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study","name":"Study Bible"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":3,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes","name":"wesleys explanatory notes"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":4,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel","name":"Ezekiel"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":5,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/study/wesleys-explanatory-notes/ezekiel/2","name":"2"}}]},{"@type":["Person","Organization"],"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#/schema/person/e966585dde703268e7f6ae890ea98509","image":{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#personlogo","inLanguage":"en-US","url":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/android-chrome-512x512.png","contentUrl":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/android-chrome-512x512.png","width":512,"height":512},"logo":{"@id":"https://realbiblebelievers.com/#personlogo"},"sameAs":["https://twitter.com/RBiblebeliever","https://www.facebook.com/RBibleBelievers"]}]} ```
