End of Days?

Due to the many concerning events occurring in the world today, many people are wondering if we are experiencing the end of days. Notably, we are facing the Coronavirus outbreak. At the same time, locusts were swarming throughout parts of Africa. President Trump has also raised concerns as he tries to instill peace among the Jews and Palestinians. As we are getting closer to the Tribulation, we can see these precursors unfolding and revealing the timeline of Revelation.

President Trump Proposes Peace in Israel

In Revelation 6, we can see the Muslim nations being referred to in verse 4:

Revelation 6: 4 “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

The verse explains that peace will be taken away. This means that peace must be established there first. President Trump is planning to initiate peace in Israel, but it will be eventually taken away by the Muslims in the Tribulation. 

A sword is referenced in the verse as well. The Quran states that against all nations who do not follow Islam, peace should be taken away by the sword. Revelation 13 mentions the tribulation saints dying by the sword of the Muslims:

Revelation 13: 10 “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”

President Trump is trying to establish peace between the Muslims of Palestine and Israel. When he declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel, this made the Palestinians upset. According to a Time Magazine article, the President’s plan was initially proposed by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law of Jewish ancestry. President Trump also owns a building with address number 666, and this leads some to believe that he may be the antichrist. Although this cannot be confirmed, we know the antichrist will have much to do with the USA, and these current events could be paving a way for his arrival. 

The President can, however, be used by God as well. During his presidency, many Christians have had their proposals considered, such as the support of Israel. According to the Times Magazine article, the US embassy was controversially moved to Jerusalem in 2018. However, it’s important to remember that throughout US history, presidents often compromise so that they can please everyone. 

With President Trump’s peace proposal, he made it so Israel’s Jews can feel empowered. However, he is trying to do the same with the Muslims as well. We can be sure that the Jews will end up with control based on evidence from Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24, and Revelation 11. 

Ultimately, President Trump’s peace proposal is fulfilling Revelation and the arrival of the antichrist. When the Jews have more power, they will be able to control their temple. The antichrist will then arrive and make peace with the Jews and Palestinians. Initially, this will please the Jews, but it leaves two possible theories:

  • The antichrist’s peace plan will give full power to Israel, angering the Muslims of Palestine and prompting them to take away peace by blood as mentioned in Revelation 6. However, in the middle of the Tribulation, the antichrist will betray Israel and break the peace plan. Then the Muslims will enact revenge by cutting off the heads of the Jews. We can recall that Revelation 20 mentions the Tribulation saints being killed by the antichrist via decapitation. The Quran mentions cutting off the heads of nations against Allah and Islam. 
  • The antichrist will make it so the Muslims and Jews are both content, and this is similar to the peace plan President Trump is proposing. However, in the middle of the plan, the antichrist betrays the Jews, which allows the Muslims to begin persecuting the Jews.

We can recall that the Tribulation will last approximately seven years, and this should be about how long the peace deal should last. However, in the midst of the covenant, according to Daniel 9:27, the antichrist breaks the peace plan. If the plan is broken midway-through the Tribulation, it will break around 3 ½ years. According to the Time article, once the peace plan is implemented by the Israeli government, they will then set apart land for Palestine for up to four years. This is very close to the 3 ½ year-long period of peace before the plan is broken. Although we cannot be sure President Trump’s plan is the plan of the antichrist, the antichrist could take the exiting plan and expand it further.

According to the article, President Trump has Israel’s Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister on board with the peace plan. A leader who can make peace between Israel and Palestine will be considered a savior to many. If President Trump can make strides towards peace, we are not too far from the peace that the antichrist will bring.

Locusts Swarms in Africa

A 2020 article from The Atlantic titled Worst Locust Swarms in Decades Hit East Africa explains the current events occurring in Africa. These locusts have been damaging the local crops. Author Allen Taylor explains that the unusually wet weather may be contributing to the large locust swarms. In Revelation 9, we can recall the mention of locusts escaping from Hell:

Revelation 9: 2-3 “And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”

The part of the Earth closest to the location of Hell is at the bottom of the ocean. Could the locust swarm be coming from the ocean by way of an opening of Hell? Although we cannot be certain of this, it is clear that the locust of the Tribulation will be worse than the recent swarms. Verses 4 and 5 explain that instead of harming crops, the locusts will be harming the unbelieving humans. The swarm will also persist for five months:

Revelation 9: 4-5 “And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.”

Australian Fires

It is evident in Revelation 8 that the fires in Australia are a precursor to the events of the Tribulation.

Coronavirus Outbreak

Matthew 24 describes disease and pestilence following the 4th horseman, otherwise known as death. 

The Land of Israel

William Grady’s book How Satan Turned America Against God details how whenever the USA does something negative to Israel, a catastrophic event occurs. Hitler’s empire was also destroyed due to his treatment of the Jews. Recognizing that the Jews are God’s chosen people does not mean we are in support of the Jewish elite. We are just recognizing the fulfilled prophecy of the Jews losing their land, scattering among the Earth, and then coming back to their land. God’s chosen people are still capable of doing evil. In fact, they may be the biggest targets for Satan since they are so close to God. We need not worry about the Jews, because God sends judgment to the Jews as needed.  

Although it can be easy to pay attention to the Jews and other people during this time, we should instead spend the time focusing on ourselves, making sure we continue to pray, read our Bibles, and win souls for Christ. We can rest assured that God will send proper judgments to Israel and the Jewish elite on His timetable. According to 1 Peter, the judgment must begin at the House of God.
