What is the Leviathan?

Nowadays, many Christians believe that Leviathan is a dinosaur that resides under the water.

The classic passage is Job 41:1, “canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook.”

Answer: However, the Bible shows you that this creature in the water is actually Satan.

Revelation 12:9 points out the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan.

In Isaiah 27:1, it says, “In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.”

So Leviathan is supposed to be the dragon. It’s supposed to be the serpent and Satan.

So God will one day punish Leviathan.

If it’s an innocent creature, a dinosaur, why would God punish it?

Job 41. The very last verse proves Leviathan is sinking.  It says, he is a king over all the children of pride.
