Death, Burial and Resurrection of…ANTICHRIST!!! (Rev. 11:7-9)

Oct 10, 2020

Revelation 11:7-9 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

The beast which was killed and sent to the bottomless pit, will be resurrected during the latter 3.5 years of tribulation.

We would assume that the Antichrist will rise somewhere from the Mediterranean region, but is killed after that and fell into perdition. However, the Antichrist would also be resurrected from the dead.

This is another sign of imitation of Lord Jesus Christ.

The beast will war against the two witnesses; Moses and Elijah, and kill both of them in the street of the great city, Jerusalem.

The place where the Antichrist will be desecrating is known as Spiritual Sodom, because the practices of this demonic system have always been similar to Sodom and Egypt, even in God’s holy city Jerusalem.

On a side note, we can see that nowadays the world itself is also flooded and corrupted with the spirit of Sodom; wickedness spreading all over.

The Bible mentioned that God’s holy city will be corrupted by the Antichrist, full of the wicked spirits of Sodom and Egypt, but it won’t be forever, because the Jews are still God’s chosen people, which He will eventually have to come back and deal with them.

Some people may argue that God’s holy city is Babylon and not Jerusalem, but the Bible gives an indication that Babylon is referring to Rome, a city that is defiled and which God despises.

Revelation 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

God clearly says he will restore the city in the future and set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem, so how could Revelation 18:21 say shall be found no more? It doesn’t make sense. So Babylon cannot be Jerusalem.
