Pastor Kim is going to show you undoubtedly that salvation is by faith alone, with absolutely no works involved. Catholic apologists agree with this verse but use semantics to play around it. Protestant heretics like John MacArthur, John Piper and Ray Comfort teach lordship salvation that show one must have works to show faith.

When one is truly saved by faith, one is saved by faith, it means what it says.

Creeds of different cults and religions and famous Christian pastors showed similar wording that faith must show works. We must avoid this.

Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.”

If one insists that grace and works have any part with each other, the meaning of both are cancelled out.

The Catholic church says one must have faith and belief, but that this verse never said “faith without works” or “faith alone“. The semantics and slyness are crafty!

Romans 3:24, 28 “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”

This verse clearly says faith with no works whatsoever! One is not saved at all if one thinks that there are works accompanying faith.

Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

If one thinks that good works can save, then Jesus died for nothing and wasted His time. We do not believe that works can save, we believe that Jesus paid it all as in the hymn. If one’s works count, that means one thinks that Jesus’ sacrifice is incomplete and it was not enough when Jesus died to save us!

Romans 4:4-5 “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” 

If one works, it is not grace, it is debt. If one chooses not to work, one is considered to be saved by grace.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and lordship salvation proponents believe that one is not saved by works but that one must show their appreciation if truly saved, by doing good works. But these verses clearly show God disagrees.

Galatians 3:10-12 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.”

God says that it is not about continuing in works, and that it is a curse. But how many churches have taught us to look for fruits, or if one stopped going to church or reading the Bible and went back into sin, one is not truly saved? We are not justified by works but only by faith. Verse 12 clearly says that the law is not of faith.

“Faith that works” is false. Use these verses to prove that salvation by grace cannot have works in it whatsoever. If one insists that work is involved, then they have already gotten rid of the definition of work. God means what He says, and says what He means.
