Here’s a passage that Larkin shows, and Dr. Peter Ruckman does not have an explanation for this and he’s open to Larkin’s viewpoint, but it really like it’s the same Babylon, secular and spiritual.

Zechariah 5:7 “And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.”

There’s this talent of lead and it is referred to as ephah but she is sitting in it. It’s like an unidentified flying object.
If you look at verse 6, this is a flying object and it’s made out of some shiny metal.

Zechariah 5:8 “And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.”

The woman figure is similar to that in Revelation, and this flying object is actually heading towards Babylon, in verse 11.

Zechariah 5:11 “And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.”

Babel and Babylon are in the land of Shinar according to Genesis 10 and 11. This really matches with Revelation 17 and 18.

Zechariah has been one of Dr. Ruckman’s most confusing commentaries, that’s why he deliberately did it last. Dr. Ruckman was very open-minded to Larkin’s interpretation. However, he had a very strong point with Revelation 17 and 18 that it’s more cohesive and it makes more sense by content that this is the same Babylon. But how do we explain the land of Shinar?

Zechariah 5:9 “Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.”

It’s not one woman, there’s two, and they have the wings of a stork. Notice that these are wickedness so this is referring to devils here.

So now, it’s not just one woman, it’s three. Here’s another thing, in Revelation 17 and 18, it’s called Babylon, but Zechariah 5 does not say Babylon.

This is important, in God’s eyes, He sees Babylon shifting towards Rome.

Here’s another explanation, there is only one woman in Revelation but there are three in Zechariah. Based on the pastor’s previous teachings, there are demonic women, evil female spirits in the Bible. These aren’t clean woman spirits in both Revelation 17 and Zechariah 5. The answer to this is that Babylon the great is known as the mother and the mother will have daughters. If you think that there are many different demonic females, then you can divide this more easily. So Zechariah 5 is one of her daughters.

What we saw in our previous Revelation study, there is not only one city of seven hills, Babylon is the chief mother city of seven hills but she has many daughters imitating her. You see that with Washington DC and you’ll see Masonic symbols in Jerusalem, Washington DC and all around the world. There are many cities around the world that called themselves city of seven hills but history recognizes that these are just imitations, the official city of seven hills is Rome.

The Antichrist is going to make up many headquarters. He has to because he’s aiming at Jerusalem. Why does he have to burn Rome down? Because the city of Jerusalem where he’s ruling is really the city of God and Satan wants to be as close to God as possible. If you study the crusades, that’s why the Roman Catholic church fought for Jerusalem against the Muslims, because that’s God’s holy property.

Back to the main text, Babylon is going to be rebuilt at the land of Shinar as Saddam Hussein was trying to rebuild things. But it will be rebuilt because the Antichrist is going to rebuild his headquarters all around the world, but they’re not the official mother, they’re just daughters. The mother Babylon is right in Rome.

Why do you think the Antichrist wants to destroy the nation of Israel at Armageddon? Because Jerusalem is known as the mother of us all, that’s what God said. God’s going to have a New Jerusalem and Paul says it’s the mother of us all. Satan wants to imitate God, so he wants to get rid of this (Rome) mother so that he can set up his real mother in Jerusalem and take over God’s position.

Revelation 18:2 “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

The Roman Catholic church (Babylon) is home to devils.

All kinds of unclean spirits are in there.

It is a cage for demonic spirits.

Any devil that you can think of will come from Rome.

They’re known as birds. Winged creatures, birds or fowls, are likened to devils. That’s why angels do not have wings, the ones who have wings are devils. Throughout the Bible, every word about angels would refer to it as a man, the only beings that would have wings are cherubims and seraphims, not angels.

Matthew 13:19 “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”

Jesus is saying Satan steals the word of God, the seed.

Matthew 13:4 “And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:”

Remember, Satan was the wicked one who takes it. Satan is likened to fowl creatures.
