Revelation 6:5-6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Black horseman
This rider is holding a pair of balances or scales. After the war brought about by the second horseman, the financial markets are going to crash. You are paying a measure of wheat for a penny or a single ration of a soldier for a penny. They are going to give out solder food ration after the war. This soldier’s food ration is going to be meagre. Everyone is measuring food to see how much food you are going to get.
This black horse will bring famine.
The oil and the wine will not be hurt. That means that rich people’s food are not going to be touched. The elites are preparing to have their own haven while the common people are going to die out.
This can be further substantiated by:
James 5: 1-4 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
Why does James condemn rich people? Because he’s talking about a tribulation timeline. During this time, the rich people will prosper and heap treasure for the last days. They will hold back the pay of their labourers by fraud.
