How does one know if we got the right books in our King James Bible? Because there are many other books, the Catholics and the church considered the Apocrypha part of the Bible.

Some people might say that the King James Bible used to have the Apocrypha, so the Apocrypha should be legit. The easy answer to that is that if you look at the Apocrypha in the original King James Bible, they are literally titled “Apocrypha” on every single page of the Apocrypha. But in the Old Testament and New Testament, they didn’t title it on every page, showing that they considered the Apocrypha not part of the Bible, unlike the Old Testament and the New Testament. They considered it just as a reference book like the Bibles that we have today; we have an appendix page at the end, and it will be labelled “Appendix” or “Map” at the top.

But that’s a totally different argument; the point is, how do we know that these books are not recognized? It’s because the content just plainly contradict the scripture; they’re ridiculous, and they’re heresy.

The Heresies and Inaccuracies in the Apocrypha

Here we have several examples; one of them is Tobit. In Tobit 6:5-7, it is condoning witchcraft. In pastor’s native country, Korea, where his ancestors came from, they endorsed shamanism for centuries and millenias, and you’re going to hear a little bit of that in this book.

Tobit 6:5-8 Then the angel said to him: Take out the entrails of the fish, and lay up his heart, and his gall, and his liver for thee: for these are necessary for useful medicines. And when he had done so, he roasted the flesh thereof, and they took it with them in the way: the rest they salted as much as might serve them, till they came to Rages the city of the Medes. Then Tobias asked the angel, and said to him: I beseech thee, brother Azarias, tell me what remedies are these things good for, which thou hast bid me keep of the fish? And the angel, answering, said to him: If thou put a little piece of its heart upon coals, the smoke thereof driveth away all kind of devils, either from man or from woman, so that they come no more to them.”

Doesn’t this sound like shamanism and witchcraft? What they would do is take a creature’s insides to drive away spirits. That’s what shamanism and druids do.

Here’s another one; this contradicts scriptures, and you will know why the Catholic church wants to keep this. The verse talks about alms for forgiveness. That’s not true, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1).

Tobit 12:9 “For alms delivereth from death, and the same is that which purgeth away sins, and maketh to find mercy and life everlasting.”

Wrong call.

Here’s another one; the Apocrypha says that the Babylonian captivity went on for seven generations. Well, that’s a long time. But if you know your Bible stories, did Israel’s Babylonian captivity lasts for seven generations? No. If you read Jeremiah 29:10, it was only 70 years. It must be that every generation is only 10 years. Do you see how ridiculous this nonsense is?

Baruch 6:2 “And when you are come into Babylon, you shall be there many years, and for a long time, even to seven generations: and after that I will bring you away from thence with peace.”

Here’s another one; what one’s going to find out here is how this man died.

2 Maccabees 9:5-6 “But the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, smote him with an incurable and invisible plague: or as soon as he had spoken these words, a pain of the bowels that was remediless came upon him, and sore torments of the inner parts; And that most justly: for he had tormented other men’s bowels with many and strange torments.”

2 Maccabees 9:9 “So that the worms rose up out of the body of this wicked man, and whiles he lived in sorrow and pain, his flesh fell away, and the filthiness of his smell was noisome to all his army.”

So this guy, his flesh was falling away, and all of a sudden, worms started popping out. Not only that, it says ‘the filthiness of his smell was noisome to all his army’. This is a comedy show.

2 Maccabees 9:18 “But for all this his pains would not cease: for the just judgment of God was come upon him: therefore despairing of his health, he wrote unto the Jews the letter underwritten, containing the form of a supplication, after this manner:”

The verse is saying that while the man is ‘melting’ here, he’s writing a letter to the Jews with worms crawling all over his body. This is hilarious.

Here’s another one – wrong calculation of years and date. This is way off.

Tobit 1:3-5 “I Tobit have walked all the days of my life in the ways of truth and justice, and I did many almsdeeds to my brethren, and my nation, who came with me to Nineve, into the land of the Assyrians. And when I was in mine own country, in the land of Israel being but young, all the tribe of Nephthali my father fell from the house of Jerusalem, which was chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, that all the tribes should sacrifice there, where the temple of the habitation of the most High was consecrated and built for all ages. Now all the tribes which together revolted, and the house of my father Nephthali, sacrificed unto the heifer Baal.

Tobit 14:11 “Wherefore now, my son, consider what alms doeth, and how righteousness doth deliver. When he had said these things, he gave up the ghost in the bed, being an hundred and eight and fifty years old; and he buried him honourably.”

Notice that this man died at 158 years old, and this happened long after Genesis. This is ridiculous. Not only that, he claimed to be alive when Israel revolted and when Assyrians conquered Israel. One has to realize that Israel revolted in 931 BC, and Assyria conquered Israel in 722 BC. These two events were separated by over 200 years. He wasn’t old enough when he died.

Would one really consider this as part of the Bible? No wonder atheists make fun of the Bible as being fairy tale. If you want a Bible that’s fairy tale, the Apocrypha is a fairy tale right here.

Here’s another one; the verse here condones suicide.

2 Maccabees 14:41-46 “The soldiers were about to capture the tower where Razis had gone. They were forcing open the gates to the courtyard, and the order had been given to set the door on fire. Razis realized there was no escape, so he tried to commit suicide with his sword, preferring to die with honor rather than suffer humiliation at the hands of evil men. Under the pressure of the moment, Razis misjudged the thrust of the sword, and it did not kill him. So, while the soldiers were swarming into the room, he rushed to the wall and jumped off like a brave hero into the crowd below. The crowd quickly moved back, and he fell in the space they left. Still alive, and burning with courage, he got up, and with blood gushing from his wounds, he ran through the crowd and finally climbed a steep rock. Now completely drained of blood, he tore out his intestines with both hands and threw them at the crowd, and as he did so, he prayed for the Lord of life and breath to give them back to him. That was how he died.”

Catholicism condemns suicide. They say that it’s a sin that’s not pardoned and yet they put this as part of their Bible.

This is literally a cartoon. He commits suicide, but the sword did not hit him accurately. Then he ran and jumped off the wall while he was bleeding, and like in the cartoons, these people see him flying off the wall, and they all moved back, left him an open space, and he goes on the pavement. But he was still alive, ran through the crowd, tore out his intestines, and threw them at the crowd. This is hilarious.

The Book of Enoch

Pastor received a lot of comments about the book of Enoch, so he added in the book of Enoch here. One has to realize that the book of Enoch is not considered a true part of the Bible either. Just because Enoch was quoted, Jasher was quoted, and not only that, 3000 proverbs and 1000 songs of Solomon, the Bible also mentions the epistle to Laodicea from Paul, but those were not part of the Bible. Why? Because God did not choose them as His preserved words. That’s what one has to understand. Not only that, if the majority of early Christians thought those were the true words of God, why didn’t they pick them? The issue here is: are they the preserved words of God or are they lost?

But Enoch is definitely not part of the Bible, excluding the previous passage. Let’s look at the book of Enoch:

This passage is heresy.

1 Enoch 40:9 “He said to me: ‘The first is Michael, the merciful and patient; the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael; the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel; and the fourth, who is set over the repentance that leads to hope for those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.’ These are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits, and the four voices I heard in those days.”

Look at this fourth angel. This is heresy. One does not receive eternal life from an angel. One does not receive forgiveness of sins from an angel. One receives it from the Lord Jesus Christ. This is plain heresy.

One definitely knows it’s one of those Gnostics. These guys are pagans, mystics. During the days when the Bible was written in the first century, there were many false books of the Bible. Do you know what the Gnostics believe (which Paul warned about)? Worship of angels. These doctrines where people uphold angels on a high ladder, a high plane. Not only that, what did Revelation talk about when John bowed before the angel? The angel said, Don’t bow before me.

These so-called books of the Bible, including Enoch, are all heresy. Some of them are comical too. Whoever wrote the book of Tobit and Maccabees must have thought that the guy died like the Wizard of Oz, they must have watched cartoons.
